different terrains, and different treasures lies ahead, even how dangerous it might be, adventurers loves to dwell inside this thing, as this was the easiest route to become rich, strong, and famous"
Dook?
It then turn around and stare at me with his questioning gaze
"Well, I do plan on entering this one, but not for now"
Dook?
I then got near him, crouch down, and offer my right hand. It then climb up as I explain
"We are quite far from our house, if I enter this place, we might camp inside just to be safe from the night, which will be a troubling matter, considering that monsters keep popping out from the Dungeon, so we need to prepare ourselves"
I then turn around and went back to where I dock my boat. There's still time for me to explore some part of this island, but as I found this Dungeon, I will prioritize this over other things. I'm still weak, beating that {Bear} was merely because of luck, if I encounter one again, I will be dead for sure, so this Dungeon serves a great purpose for me to increase my strength, and polish my mastery in weaponry and combat even further.
.....
After going back to my home island, which took 4 hours of sailing. I then hurriedly covered the field and the Well, before we headed inside the house, and lock everything. I then started cooking a simple meal for our dinner, which was a [Grilled Boar Steak]. Eun was quite curious to my home, so he keeps loitering around after dinner, sniffing and moving around the place. We then took a clean bath, before we headed to my room, and sleep.
.....
When morning came, I uncovered and tended the field, took a meal and a bath, before I sail to the [Island of Unexplored Treasure], to gather a lot of woods for my boat. It took me 8 hours - back and forth - to travel from my home island to that [Dungeon Island] - which is the name I will be calling from now on - which will leave me with more or less 4 hours, and if you have been inside of a Dungeon, sometimes you can easily lost track of time, so I wanted to be sure that I could atleast get home before dark, as camping inside a Dungeon isn't impossible, but not ideal.
To improve my boat, I will be widening the *Tender, which where the minerals is being stored. A wooden equipment with a circular top, and a rectangular body. The center is hollow as it was were the minerals will be placed. At the bottom was a long platform, an [Induction Plate], that which absorb the energy that's coming from the mineral, and allocate it towards the boat. To improve the speed of my boat even further, I'll be adding another 2 Tender.
By the way, this is a feature that is only available when you added more than 2 Tenders in your boat, or ship. To accelerate your boat/ ship, you just need to stern the wheel in 360 degrees, and to decelerate is just to spin the wheel in 180 degrees - whether from left or right.
I am also trying to make it even wider, from a 29 inches long (0.75m or 3/4) I wanted it to reach a meter and a quarter long (1.25m), so I can further increase the loot that I could carry, while not making it slow and destroy the stability of my boat.
I carried 2 chopped trees from the island, and placed it upfront of my house. I then went to the shed and grab the Saw my parents hurdled. I started peeling the wood's barks 1st before I started sowing it. Afterwards, I then started from the side, slicing a thin layer, but not too thin, for the bottom body of my boat. I 1st chop a large chunk to the side, before I started sowing a thinner one. After making 30 1 and half meters long plywood sheet - half meter width - I then started cutting another piece, a long 1x1 inch rectangular plywood - 1 meter in length - to be the skeletal frame for my boat, though the frame of my boat is still usable, but because I changed the Hull size, I need to change the length of my boat too.
Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.
From the 2 meters and half length, I'll be making it 3 and a half meters long (3:1 ratio for the hull and boat length). After all my materials were cut out, I took a few minutes break before I continue. I destroyed the boat 1st. I used a long Iron rod with a flatten front edge as a claw hammer, as this world doesn't have such feature in a hammer. Afterwards, I then build the frame back, then started connecting the wooden skeleton, before I then placed the wooden sheet - at the bottom and side. 15 inches above the floor, I then build a **flat frame, which where I will place all my hauls. Using 2 wooden sheet, I then built it.
Afterwards, I then, just quarter meter long from the center, built a 4x10 wooden pillar, where I will place the wheel of the boat. And 15 inches long - starting from the flat frame - I then made a 15x30 box - placed in a landscape - where I place the [Induction Plate] and the Tinder, upfront of the wooden pillar. I then made some wooden rails to my long boat, just 8 inches long, so some of my loot won't fall when I made a hard stern.
Dook!
And finished, my new boat is now done. It took me 19 days to finish this, as I started from scratch, but as I also have all usable materials from the old boat, so it didn't take that long to finish, though some of them will be used as a firewood.
Eun then started exploring the new boat I made
Dook!
And was quite happy to it, which I am glad. Looking up, it's already pass noon, so I decided to test this boat I made, and see how fast it can travel now. After I installed the minerals in, I then controlled how high it will float, before I then carried it to dock. Eun already hop in.
After it reaches the dock, I then ride on it, placed the ***Rudder just beside me, and started testing the speed of this new updated version of my boat.
"Let's go!"
Dook!
"[Satus]"
(Author's POV)
Like a plane, it took time before the boat to accelerate, gathering enough speed for it to start, and when it did
"Hold on tight!!"
Doooooookk!!
"Woohoooo!"
They glide in a swift phase across the air, smooth speed as they sail. With the modifications made, the long boat was able to surpass its limit once again, garnering a intensifying speed in a matter of minutes. It wasn't surprising that they reached the other island in just half an hour, considering it usually takes an hour and a half to get there.
And when Shin saw the opportunity, he then turn the wheel to the right, and slowly stern the Rudder to the left. Not slowing down, his boat then gradually turn, and made a smooth drift, as he parked in a vertical entry.
"Whoaaa! How's that?"
Dook!
Eun then joyfully raised his arms up in excitement and thrill. Shin giggling to his small friend, then looked up, realizing that it was still quite early to go back, so he then looked back to Eun, and spoke
"Eun, want another ride?"
Dook? Dook!
"Then let's go!"
Agreeing to his proposal, both then once again ride their boat, and sailed towards the last island they have been into.
"Awesome!"
Dook!
Going pass above the 3rd island, while going circle to the 4th, and going down then up to the 5th island. The sail was smooth, and the ride was amazing. If last time it took them 4 hours to reach the 5th island, it was shorten to 2 hours. When the sun was about to set, they then decided to go back. Gazing at the scenery before them, as the world is being painted in red orange coat, sometimes, even a smooth, gentle ride, is quite nice to have too.
"Beautiful"
Dook
"Let's take that Dungeon tomorrow, shall we?"
Dook!
If what I know about Dungeon, and the Dungeon in this world are the same, then that place should be beginner friendly one

*A tender or coal-car (US only) is a special rail vehicle hauled by a steam locomotive containing its fuel (wood, coal, oil or torrefied biomass) and water. Steam locomotives consume large quantities of water compared to the quantity of fuel, so their tenders are necessary to keep them running over long distances - wiki
**His referring to where the setboard is place, but he will be using it for different reasons.
*Unlike nowadays ships and boats that uses electricity and mechanical engineering system, or in the medieval era where they connect the wheel to the rudder, in this world, my novel, I took that out and replaced with the minerals in the tinder to act as the engine. Just like how you place every wires, diodes, etc in the breadboard in the same line(vertically), it will directly connect them. Though this only works in small ships and boats, larger one still need to use the medieval type one.
***Unlike the rudders you see in planes and ships, I made mine like a half heart shape, with the other side longer. They can also make the rudder stand in vertical position, or in horizontal position, so it can easily help you move left to right, or up and down.
