(Oct 21)
““ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!””
I had unleashed my own dragons roar which shook the very earth itself.
My roar was so powerful, that it countered The Grinch’s and completed nullified them both.
The shockwaves from our roar clashes, dispersing the magic and sent waves of air spreading across the entire cemetery.
The Grinch… just looked at me dumbfounded, as if it were genuinely surprised.
This was probably the first time anyone, or anything, had managed to match its roar and stopped it.
This confused The Grinch causing it to enter a state of frenzy.
It rushed at me, swinging its claws wildly.
Hundreds of slashes were swung at me within the span of a second, but I easily managed to dodge them all.
Since my dragon roar dispelled The Grinch’s roar, my web essence remained stuck all over its body which slowed down its movements.
My web essence reduced The Grinch’s speed significantly. Its like how running in water or in mud is slow and difficult, my web essence bogged down The Grinch’s movement like that.
Of course, it was still super fast, but dodging became much easier.
My web essence also acted as leash, every time The Grinch moved, it would shake and tug on my web essence, notifying me of its movements.
I could easily have done a no-hit run against The Grinch… but this was going nowhere. I was still frustrated at the fact I can’t land a hit on it.
It pissed me off.
I’ve only managed to hit The Grinch once, and that was by surprise.
While I was dodging the attacks, the gears in my brain started churning, analyzing the situation and coming up with ideas.
I was focused on defense, avoiding attacks, and because of that, it leaves me no opportunities for attacking.
If I wanted to hurt The Grinch, I needed to expose myself a bit and fight offensively.
So I thought to myself, ‘ya know what? Screw it. This is a fight; I can’t win without getting hurt myself. Let’s go in for the kill,’ and I rushed at The Grinch.
However, unlike The Grinch, I wasn’t just recklessly swinging my fist around.
Every time The Grinch swung at me, I would punch at its arm, knocking the claws away from me.
I kept doing this until I saw an opportunity.
As I knocked away both of The Grinch’s claws, it became exposed for me to attack.
It was a perfect moment.
I reeled back my arm, which stretched the web essence that connected my fist to The Grinch’s body and spewed as much magic out of the dragon’s jet on my elbow could release.
PMPH!
Combine all my strength with the boosted speed of dragon’s jet and the elasticity of my web essence acting like a mega slingshot, my dragon fist was blasted forward at a speed that I could barely see even with dragon’s mind.
It was similar to the super dragon missile I used during the capture the flag against Mona, but with my dragon fist instead and with A LOT more power.
The Grinch barely noticed my attack but still instinctively tried to dodge out of the way.
However, my punch was simply too fast… even for The Grinch.
Not only that, but since my web essence was stuck all over The Grinch’s fur, as it tried to evade, it pulled on the web essence (which was also attached my fist) along towards it.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Meaning, even if it tries to dodge, my web essence will pull my fist towards its body.
And with all this, the incredible combined speed of my punch and my web essence guiding my fist to The Grinch, I managed to land a fucking punch to its rib.
The side of its stomach exploded due the force of my punch, as bones from its rib cage and organs flew out.
“GRAAWOOWWOAHHHHHHHHHHHHOAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!”
The Grinch let out a blood curling screech of pain as it jumped back from my sudden punch.
The speed and strength behind that punch was another level… and not surprisingly, it even caused my arm to go slightly numb from that.
My hands were shaking, but I was ecstatic.
The thrill of battle… the feeling of punching something as hard as possible… it felt… fantastic.
I didn’t even realize it at the time, but I had a massive grin on my face.
The Grinch stood back up from its crouching position, revealing the gaping hole in its side.
It let out a low growl again.
That was when I noticed that the wound started to regenerate.
The hole that was blasted open from my punch, was closing and flesh started filling in the empty gaps.
The Grinch had regenerative abilities that surpassed even mine.
“Incredible…”
Instead of being worried, I was impressed.
Without even realizing it, I had completely become a battle junkie.
The Grinch was incredible strong, it has lightning-fast reactions, its speed is like none other and even has the ability to regenerate fatal wounds as if they were nothing.
The Grinch truly was a monster.
And it takes a monster to defeat a monster.
However, I also happened to be a monster.
A half dragon monster.
‘I’m gonna beat the ever-living shit outta that green fucker,’ I thought to myself as I charged at The Grinch again.
It tried to jump away, but like before, my web essence acted like a leash, guiding me towards The Grinch.
KAPOW!
The impact sounded as if an explosion just went off.
I had punched The Grinch right in the face with my punch, and its body was sent flying into the air.
But I didn’t let it go free with just a simple punch.
I yanked on my web essence, pulling The Grinch back down and plunged my knee into its spine, combining both the force of gravity of The Grinch falling and the strength of my kick (with dragon’s jet) into the attack.
The Grinch ragdolled into the air once more, as I grabbed its neck and lifted its body with one arm.
I reeled back my other arm and flexed it as a blast of magic shot out of the dragon’s jet attached on my elbow.
“You like eating, right? Well eat this, ya fucker.”
With my entire body strength, rotating my entire torso and manipulating all my magic to produce maximum speed of dragon’s jet, my fist rocketed forward and smashed right into The Grinch’s face.
Before The Grinch could get knocked away, I slowed time down even further and grinded my fist right into its skull with my knuckles.
The air exploded from the force of The Grinch getting blasted away equivalent to a canon being fired.
The Grinch flew backwards several dozen meters away until it slowly lost momentum and crashed into the ground.
However, even with that, it wasn’t dead yet.
It was slightly shaking, but The Grinch stood up once more.
I knew that The Grinch wouldn’t die.
It can regenerate after all; how could it die so easily?
I slowly walked towards The Grinch, as everything else in the world blurred away.
My vision was focused solely on The Grinch. Nothing else matter to me.
That was when The Grinch looked up at me, and I could see it clearly… its eyes… were slightly trembling…. The Grinch was… afraid.
And I just smiled.
Almost like I was enjoying it…
No… not almost… I did enjoy it at the time.
I still clearly remember the feeling of my blood rushing through my body, every single cell of my body was screaming in pain and yet I was thrilled.
Just thinking about it, makes me excited.
Honestly, I almost expected dragonification to happen.
I was so exhilarated and excited, with adrenaline rushing through my veins, full of energy.
So many emotions ran through me, so I had thought that dragonification might happen, but it didn’t.
I’m not sure why though, but I do have two theories.
It might be that, although I was experiencing these extreme emotions, I wasn’t showing it or acting upon it.
I was excited and wanted to rampage, but I kept myself somewhat composed. Like a silent rage or something where you feel angry, but you don’t show or act it.
My other theory is that these emotions and feelings are artificial.
It’s because of the spice pills that caused me to feel so heated and because of that, my dragon essence might not have considered that as a real emotion…?
Its like when your drunk, you act and feel very different from how you normally would.
What you experience when you’re drunk, is different from when you’re sober.
So maybe that’s why dragonification didn’t happen, otherwise, my emotions at the time did qualify for a dragonification, yet it didn’t happen.
But that’s just a theory… a dragon theory!
Anyways, I’m glad dragonification didn’t happen. That meant I could rampage all I want with minimal consequences.
The Grinch snarled, opening its jaws to reveal its massive shark-like teeth like a hungry wolf about to pounce on its pray.
I just smiled and cracked my knuckles.
BMPH!
The ground exploded and The Grinch disappeared.
I could see its movements as The Grinch kicked off the ground and lunged at me with its mouth gaping open trying to bite me.
I just leaned back, dodging its attack entirely, and planted an uppercut right into its bottom jaw, smashing its teeth apart.
However, this time, The Grinch didn’t get knocked away, it firmly stood its ground and slashed into my side with its massive claws, digging into my flesh.
It had purposely taken my attack front on instead of dodging, just so it could attack me back…
It was now fighting with its life on the line.
This… was a true fight, between two monsters, each of us fighting desperately doing anything it takes to win, even it meant destroying our own bodies.
Neither of us looked down on the other.
And so, just for a little bit longer… our battle continued; a big green furry vs a half breed scaly boi.
