[What the hell happen?]

As Instructor Becker murmured to himself, emergence vehicle arrive one after another.

--Location: Somewhere, at the same time nowhere--

As I open my eyes and able to clearly see, the placed I was currently in was a pure white with an endless horizon.

I look around looking for someone, somebody but nothing around.

There’s nothing, nothing at all. As in all being erase.

[OOOOIIIIII!!! ANYBODY CAN HEAR ME?]

I shouted as loud as I possible could hoping that someone could heard me.

In the empty place, I walked aimlessly hoping to find someone.

Walk for minutes, hours, or even days.

The time can’t be tell and the sense of direction, there’s non at all.

It’s all empty, nothing.

I suddenly stop and stood there.

[AaaaahhhhhhHHHHHHHH!!!]

I started to shout and hitting the ground.

[WHERE THE FUCK AM I???]

[FOR FUCK SAKE, PLEASE SOMEONE JUST TELL ME!!!]

I shouted as continuously hitting the ground.

Out of nowhere, the ground vibrate follow by the sound of an explosion.

[‘BOMB’]

I stop and slowly looked up.

At the far distance, there’s something suddenly appear.

[What the hell is that?]

I stood up and start running towards the “thing” that just appear.

[Huff, huff, huff, huff, huff, huff…]

I kept running even though the object doesn’t seem to be getting closer.

Minutes, hours, days, I kept running, running and running.

Eventually I reaches close to the object. From my distance, the object seem to be levitating and the shape of the object looks to be a sword.

I then slowly started walking toward the sword. As I got closer and closer around 100 meter from the sword, the pressure suddenly become heavy.

Even as the pressure become heavier as I get closer to the sword, I still continue moving forward as it felt like the sword is drawing me towards it.

Eventually the distance between me and the sword is within arms reach. However, the pressure near the sword is too strong for me that it took everything I have to lift up my hand and grab the sword hilt.

As I about to touch the hilt, a sudden shockwave appear from the sword.

[What the hell?]

I then lift both of my hand in preparation to grab the hilt of the sword.

[‘inhale’, ‘exhale’, ‘inhale’, ‘exhale’…]

I breath-in and out a couple of time to prepare myself.

[‘inhale’…]

Before grabbing the hilt, I took one last deep breath-in.

As I was ready, I grab the hilt of the sword with both hand.

[AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH]

The moment the hilt of the sword and my hand make contact, a strong surge of intense pain runs through my whole body and at the same time something flowing through my mind.

Before I could though off anything, I fainted due to the intense pain while holding the sword.

--Location: Medical Building (Further West Area)--

As I opened my eyes, I saw an unfamiliar ceiling. It seem that I have regain consciousness. I look around and though to myself.

*[It seem I not in the infirmary at the Main Building. So, where am I?]*

[Ugh.]

As I try to sit up, my body felt an intense pain. So i decided to laid back and wait for someone to come.

While I was waiting, I though to myself about what happen during that time after I saw the bright white light.

My memory still hazy and somewhat unable to recall the event.

[‘sound of door sliding open’]

As I was in my chain of though, I heard someone came in. It appear to be a nurse and she still haven’t realise that I have regain consciousness.

[Ah, excuse me.]

[AAHHH…]

Rather than calling her out, I ended scaring her.

[I apologise for suddenly calling you out.]

[No no, I’m sorry for not realising that you have regain consciousness. Hold on for a moment as I inform my superior first.]

After she told me that, a moment later a couple of people (I assume to be a doctor) came in to examine my medical check-up (such as taking blood sample, measuring blood pressure and etc.).

During the check-up, there also some simple physical exercise to be perform. Due to my current condition, they postpone it to later date.

On the following day Instructor Becker came for a visit.

[Yo Afann, I came to check up on you.]

[Oh, Instructor Becker. Good afternoon.]

[So, how are your condition currently?]

[The doctor said I require to stay for a week, since I still can’t move my body yet.]

[Is that so… Anyway, do you remember anything from the incident?]

As expected, the real reason for Instructor Becker came for a visit is to acquire information of what happen during the event.

[Well…]

I told him what happen during near the end of the duel.

As I told him, the expression on his face shown as he already know what happen.

[…That’s all I can remember…]

[Mmmh… Ok, thanks.]

[Anyway Instructor, are Instructor Jane and Sam alright?]

As I’m still unaware of the current situation, I ask for their condition.

[Well for Miss Foster, she already discharge. As for that foolish guy, he still unconscious.]

[Is that so… Then the result of the duel?]

[For now it still unknown, once both participant are back to health then we will have a discussion regarding the duel.]

After staying for awhile, Instructor Becker went back.

But before he left, he told me one last sort of advise.

[Oh yeah, one last thing. Once you get back to health, go visit the library or something and read up on the things that you miss. And try not to get left behind or be a burden. That’s all.]

After that, the next couple of days I started with my rehabilitation to get myself back into shape before doing another medical check-up.

It seem that other then the staff here and Instructors, other people unable to make a visit as it been couple of days and yet the others still haven’t visited me at all.

--Date: During the explosion incident--

As Instructor Becker standing there and witnessing the destroy building of the Arena, a strange bright light appear out of nowhere.

He quickly move towards that direction wondering what’s was it. As he reach closer, the light slowly faded away.

Eventually as he has reach the location of the source of the light, the light already vanish. He look around for any clue. As he looked, he observe that there’s a few traces of the same light mingling nearby.

Instructor Becker follow the mingle light, as he follow it, he was shock that the light lead him to Afann who was being slightly envelop by the light before slowly faded away.

As he approach Afann, he felt wired as observe that there’s no debris around Afann within 10 meter radius of him as well as no injury.

Instructor Becker realise that these’s more question than answer of what had happen.
