Morning.

Since it’s the weekends, I decide to do morning run before getting breakfast.

As I was jogging, I stumble across Takaki. He seems to be also doing some training. So, I ran straight beside him and greet him.

[Hey Takaki. Morning.]

He glances at me before greeted back.

[…Sup.]

Moments later.

After finishes our run, I asked him.

[Hey, do you mind if I join in your training? That’s if you’re ok.]

He stared at me with intense eyes.

[*sigh*. Sure, whatever.]

[Thanks.]

We do some stretches before doing light speed workout.

I did halve of what he was doing since the workout were mostly intense for me. After the workout, we part way at the dormitory front door.

After returning to my room and have a shower, I head to the cafeteria to get breakfast.

As I enter the cafeteria, I saw Yuki and Hiro were having their breakfast.

I went up to them after taken a set of breakfast.

[Hey guys, morning.]

[Oh hey, morning.]

[Morning Afann.]

[Where were you this morning?]

Hiro asked as he chews his food.

[I was with Takaki.]

[WHAT!?]

[*cough*]

Yuki suddenly burst out a huge voice while Hiro was choke from my sudden answered.

[Did he harass you? Force you do anything? Threaten you? ...]

She bombards me with question without letting me have the chance to explain.

Yuki continued questioning and suddenly stop.

[Yuki?]

[Mmh?]

Hiro and I puzzle at her sudden stop and at her expression as she looked at a distance towards the front entrance.

As I turned to look, I saw Takaki there.

[Oh shi…]

[TAKAKI!!!]

Yuki shouted as she storms off towards Takaki and started quarrelling because of the misunderstanding.

I rush towards them to stop the quarrel before explaining the situation.

Moments later.

[Sorry about that Takaki, I should have explained to her properly.]

[Yeah, whatever.]

Takaki answered and walk away.

I then look at Yuki and gave a sign to go after Takaki.

She let out a sigh and head towards Takaki.

I waited for her to finish apologizing before headed back towards our seats.

Along the way I ask.

[Everything alright?]

[Yeah…]

Yuki answered with a depress voice.

I then apologize to her.

[I’m sorry, I should explain properly.]

[No, No. it’s totally my fault for jumping into conclusion without having you to finish the whole story. So, I’m sorry.]

As we are reaching back, the face Hiro give off worries me as he’s gives a huge smirk towards me.

[What’s with that wired smile for?]

[Nothing, it just that both of you always like to leave me behind.]

As we took a seat, I realise that my breakfast is gone.

[Hiro, don’t tell me you ate my food?]

[Well, you need to compensate the time you left me.]

[Compensate my ass. I’m taking your potion in return.]

[Nope. Not going to happen.]

As I struggling to steal Hiro food, Yuki giggle.

It seems that she has gone back to normal. Moments later, Takaki came to our table and sat opposite Hiro.

[Yes. *munch*]

[Oi!]

I manage to steal one of his sausage since he stops resisting from Takaki sudden appearance.

Hiro than ask.

[Ah, why are you here?]

[Why can’t I be here?]

[And Afann, stop taking my food!!]

As I happily eating Hiro food, Yuki then try to stop the argument by telling Hiro that she invited Takaki to have breakfast with us.

As they both stop arguing, we finish up our breakfast and head back to the dorm.

We later then meet during the afternoon at the Intelligence building with our assignment materials that was given by instructor Becker.

The assignment task that was given to us is to research on the development of the WCD and its capabilities.

Intelligence building – similar to a standard library, but also include standard military information for the student’s reference. The building also has communities’ room and have a café for both student and staff.

As we walk towards the building, Hiro ask.

[Afann, have you invited Ron as well?]

[Yeah, but he said he’ll do it tomorrow.]

[Is that so.]

We then stayed till the evening in the intelligence building before calling it a day.

We had dinner before heading back to our dorm.

2 more days.

The following day, after having my breakfast I decided to head towards the Intelligence building again.

As I enter the building, I approach the information counter and ask for the location of the community’s rooms is being held. The Intelligence building consists of 3 buildings, the Main building; is a library and where we do our research yesterday, the East building; where only authorise personnel may enter, and the West building; which is similar to the Main building and also include Research lab.

The community’s rooms cover the whole of level 3 and 4 of the Main building and the West building.

After getting the location of where the Volunteer community room are, I went straight to the room.

[Wow, this place is really huge. Can’t blame people if they went missing in here.]

I mumble to myself as I walk while looking at the surrounding.

The room were located at the 4th floor at the West building.

As I reach the front of the room, I knock the door before entering the room and ask.

[Excuse me, is this the Volunteer community room?]

[Uh? Ah, yes. How can I how you.]

[Yeah, the thing is that Louise introduce me to this community and ask me to visit if I have the time. So…]

[Oh, did she. Anyway, you can seat anywhere for now. The rest of the club members not here yet. By the way, my name is Beck Wealth. Nice to meet you.]

The person introduce himself to me as he reaches out his hand for a hand-shake.

[Likewise, I’m Afann.]

After introducing myself, I took a seat as I waited for Louise to come.

30 minutes later.

Out of nowhere.

Louise came as she slams the door open say in a loud voice.

[Sorry guys, I overslept this morning.]

[………]

All the people in the room remain silent and resume work as this is normal for them.

As for me, I was there looking shock.

As Louise enter the room, she notices me and say…

[Ah, you came. Didn’t expect you to come so soon.]

[Well, right now I have free time so, why not.]

[Mmh, well anyway let me introduce the memb…]

As Louise was talking, Beck interrupt her.

[No need for that alright. We all have introduce ourselves already to him.]

[What? Already?]

[Well yeah. He’s been here 30 minutes already you know.]

[Haha, sorry.]

[*sigh*, never mind that. You can go through with him on how we do thinks around here, as well as the overall objective.]

[Oh, alright.]

Louise then started explaining as she performs the task that was given to the community.

I stayed throughout the day till the community ended.

We ended the day by having the community members treating me to dinner as a so call welcoming party, even though I didn’t say I planning to join.

The following day, day of the duel.

As the rest of the student preparing for classes, Sam, Instructor Jane and myself are preparing for the duel.

Location: Training ground (Arena)

Sam and I are at the training ground while Instructor Jane is at the audience stand overseeing the duel.

[If the participant is ready, raise your hand.]

Both of us raise.

[Well then, BEGIN!!!]
