"Excuse me, Icaro, but what do we do?", asked another participant. By the spell rune shining on his hand, he was using some type of magic, and Roberion suspected that it was probably the energetic shield that was stopping part of the attack. Multiple people had similar runes on their hands.
"Oh, yes, all of you will be divided into support teams". After that, Icaro divided the rest of the participants; two of the participants who had shield spells would be used to defend both Roberion and the dark haired woman. Another four were kept to protect the dome; the rest started to go into the tunnel underground.
"Remember, as I give the signal, start attacking them like your life depends on it, my poor plebeians, because it will", Icaro looked at the dome, seemingly seeing beyond it.
"What is the signal?" asked the monk, one of the last to go into the tunnel, stopping just at the entrance.
"Our beetle friend will use his insects; you will know what I mean, because I myself didn't know either; he only said, "Big, show, ritual, powerful", his species is one of the few honored creatures in this wretched sector, so I will believe in him. Go on, shush!", Icaro waved his hands dismissively.
Now that everyone who needed to use the tunnels had entered them, Roberion watched with curiosity as the number of attacks by the supposed Bligh Squad decreased. He thought it would be the inverse, but soon found out why. The swarm of undead seems to be increasing, probably to distract the warriors. It indeed seemed that Icaro was telling the truth; he was in cahoots with the baroness. I need to target him after all this is over. There is no way I will let some "chosen one" win this—all this stupid selection for the baroness to choose the winner.
"You two, focus on these points" as Icaro said, two ice flowers sprouted from the barricade; their white color and delicate texture gave the sensation that they could melt at any time, "You lightning mage, focus on the left; you null focus on the right. The left is where the bastard with the missile launcher is, and the other is where the machine gun Blight warrior is. They will change their position soon, but it doesn't matter; it will end before that happens", saying that the blonde took a silver controller, pointed at the left, near the ice flower.
Not a moment later, in front of Roberion, Xenn, the orange beetleman, exploded his aura, his mana mixing with the air. The null felt that the air started to crawl on his skin, more like a side effect than the spell itself. Just a second later, the Farmungus touched the ground. A sound is heard in the distance, like a swarm of demonic locusts being transported into the world. Roberion tried not to focus on it, trying to do his part. Already with the [Hellish Plasma Cannon] on hand, the null started feeding the mana to the weapon. The dark haired woman, on the other hand, had electricity surging around her.
"ATTENTION, IN THREE SECONDS I WILL OPEN TWO HOLES THE BARRICADE, AIM AND SHOOT THE FASTER THE BETTER!", Icaro yelled atop his lungs. Now he was less like a snob and more like a true captain. Roberion knew that he couldn't miss his chance, ativating his [Necklace of the Fanatic Initiate], his dexterity improving imensily. Percival, who was quiet all this time, trying to not get the attention of the other participants, helped Roberion, providing support to the cannon weight using his extended arms.
Roberion has already fed the weapons most of his mana, which is sufficient for a high VIII-tier shoot. After it, he will need to drink a mana potion fast. That preoccupation was for later, though; he had a job to do.
The other two participants, holding the shielding spells, cancelled their magic. From nowhere, a sudden sound could be heard—an impact that shook the earth like an earthquake. Roberion controlled himself to not look to the left, and it bore fruit.
The next moment, the ice flower expanded and disappeared, eating part of the barricade. The dome of light that protected the barricade was next to be dismissed; now all present could see the pandemonium outside through the holes.
What Roberion saw in the distance—less distance than he wanted—was the Bligh squad warrior, wearing red armor with hints of gold, fighting a swarm of insects, but the resplendent armor was beautiful and the perfect target for Roberion to shoot. Even now, the purple light gives off an aura of the supernatural throughout the whole park, with the insects and the beautiful armor reflecting its explendor.
"NOW!!", Icaro yelled, already jumping into the air, an icy aura expanding. He floated fast ahead, no doubt wanting to help the people that were starting to come out of the underground.
Roberion pulled the trigger, activating the enchantment [Plasmatic Hell]. The energy surged through the black metal gun body, getting a blue hue and light; it was faster than the medium-tier shoot. The nulls looked ahead as the Blight Warrior fought against thousands of insects that attacked him from all sides; now they were on fire, crawling on his body. The insects wouldn't hold long; they destroyed the warrior's dome, but his armor was intact.
Roberion had a feeling that guided his hand a little to the right from where the warriors were, like a sixth sense, probably the effect of the enchantment from his necklace he activated. As the plasma shot out, it went through the dome, not hitting anything and flying perfectly, like a professional marksman was the shooter, not a months old null.

The plasma shot flied the distance like a comet traveling his eternal path; corpses were around it, but his trajectory evaded it; there was nothing at play like magic, but an explendid aim; obviously, the distance was short, but Roberion was an amateur and the situation was chaotic; getting it right was already hard enough.
Before the Blight warrior could do anything, the shoot hit him straight on, taking his back. The plasma explosion expanded, consuming everything on its path, not sparing the insects, the earth, or anything in between. The most obviously damaged of them all, aside from the insects, is the armored warrior.
Roberion didn't wait a moment, drinking a mana potion whole. It wouldn't restore his mana in time for another shoot, but he could be lucky; maybe he didn't need to. The null took a quick glance to his left; he was too concentrated to see the lightning spell, but when he looked at where the other knight was in the distance, what surprised him wasn't the sparks around the area or the people coming out of the hole to fight; it was the new being that showed up from nowhere, The Gentlemen.
The civilized behemoth was in his black clothes, looking more like a fashionista with a porkpie hat than a warrior, but his fast punches and massive body proved the contrary; he was a menace in a fight.
Roberion could feel, even from this distance, the strength of the punches, like a pile driver pounding a stake in the body of the Blight warrior. I don't wish to fight that guy. The armored warrior wasn't defenseless, though; a dome expanded as the punches accumulated, and the warrior was already trying to take his rifle out. That's when the rest of the participants showed up, already entering the fray spells full out.
Roberion was so absorbed in the confrontation that he almost missed a fanned multi shot flying in his direction. He could only feel a heavy body pushing him away. Xeen showed up to protect him, and his body was radiating an airy aura again. Roberion looked ahead, only to see white sparks flowing in the air. Percival was eliminated. He saved his life again.
Damn, why do I make these stupid mistakes all the time? I need to concentrate. Just because there was a cool fight ahead doesn't mean I should focus on it. What am I, a kid?!
"Pfft! Fucking blood mud", Roberion tried to clean his face with his hand, only to make it dirtier; his whole body was covered in the mud. I need to store the gun; my mana will take a couple of minutes to restore, minutes that I need to use getting the hell out of here.
Roberion deactivated the gun, and at the exact time, a shot got near him. With the protection of Xenn the Farmungus, he didn't get hurt, but it was enough to activate the die. As the die activated, the heavy wood of the [Jubilant Choir] could be felt in his left hand. The null is sprawled on the floor, a complete mess. As he tried to get up, he just threw the big club on the floor; the club didn't let him, and his left hand was fixed on the club.
What was worse, though, was that Roberion used his right hand, which was holding the [Hellish Plasma Cannon] orb. If luck existed, Roberion had the complete reverse of that; he just had to try to shove, touching one of the mouths in the club. And who would have thought that grotesque mouth globbed up his orb?
"FUCKING STUPID WEAPON, GIVE IT BACK!", Roberion yelled at the top of his lungs, punching the weapon with his right hand. A shot grazing at his shoulders made him stop.
Roberion looked up, only to see a confused Xenn looking at him, "We, fight, group, dying", the beetleman said. Although the device was translating him, he sounded exhausted.
"I will probably regret that, but here", Roberion said, getting up clumsily and reaching one of the mana potions from his bag, giving in to Xenn.
"Mana, hungry, gratitude", The Farmungus took the bootle and drank it in one go.
"Let's fucking go, Xenn. Let's kill these assholes. What about the other power armor guy?", Roberion looked around him; everyone was dead; multiple gunshots were in their bodies; the only exception was the dark haired woman. Sadly, he didn't have time to investigate; it was time to finish his task.
The fizznaults said I shouldn't use that unknown drug from the Brotherhood of Gains/ Fellowship of Aestheticism. I tried to read that medical mumbo jumbo, but I didn't understand anything. I should have read with Fujin and Raijin. I didn't want to talk to Shade about it; being honest, I just forgot about it.
It wasn't in my plans to use it; they said it was bad, so obviously I wouldn't try it. But the situation demands it: this stupid grotesque club ate my best weapon; I don't know if I destroyed it I could recover; that stupid automaton mouse Percival ate didn't show up yet; and I doubt that Percival's stomach works like a normal capybara, or like any living being for that matter.
Xenn nugged Roberion, "You, well?"
"Sorry, Xenn, I'm not well, but I will be soon; if not well, I will be fucking strong", Roberion took the drug; it was shining on the light, the green substance looking like a viscous slime. Roberion didn't take long and injected it on his left arm; he didn't know if he applied it right. But the pain he felt when he inserted the needle proved that he didn't.
As he injected the drug, he felt his body not feverish but expanding; he got happy without any reason, euphoria invading his brain; the bloodied hellscape of the fake park seemed beautiful, like that's where he should always be. Xenn looked funny and honored; he felt that if the two could have time to talk, they could grow up to be the best of budies. The null felt a flux of needless thoughts flowing through his mind, like a waterfall.
"Need, fight, now", Xenn said, already opening his wings and flying ahead, taking only a glance back at Roberion.
"Hahahaha, hell yeah, let's fucking kill them all!", Roberion yelled like a madman, already forcing his legs to run ahead, drinking another mana potion, not caring about getting any side effects from it. He just wanted to be merry and destroy everything in his path.
