Hello readers,

I wanted to take a chance to work on giving you all an update on the writing for this series. I want to begin by saying a giant thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read this story, whether partially or in its entirety. You took a chance on a book that you knew next to nothing about and for that, I am eternally grateful for your investment of time. Time is far more valuable than society has led us to believe and your investment of time and the comments you left, whether positive negative, or in between have been read, taken into consideration, and thought about deeply. I like to think of all those who read this story as a form of family. And I am grateful for you all.

As for the next part of this journey, I have been taking some time to work on editing for Book 1, Grand System Vending, but I have been working on Book 2 as well. I promise this series is not dead and I have not abandoned it in any way. On the contrary, the feedback I have gotten has been so inspiring that I can safely announce there will be a minimum of three books for this series and I will likely be expanding it further. More on that in the future as the story unfolds.

For now, I can say that the prologue and chapter 1 have both already been released on my Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/MaxwellAuthor for content members, but I also give updates on my progress to everyone including free members. Joining my Patreon, even as a free member is the best way to stay up to date on my progress as I promise to keep updating everyone on where I'm at in the wiring process.

For Royal Road, I plan to begin releasing book 2 here starting in January. I just need to have a backlog of chapters before I begin, because when I began this journey I set an expectation of releasing one chapter a day and I only had 3 chapters written. I thought it would keep me motivated to finish the story, and it certainly did that. But it also had the added side effect of forcing me to write between 2500 and 5000 words a day to ensure I could keep my commitment. I am proud to say that I never missed a day and will not miss any deadlines for book 2, but want to give myself a little more breathing room. But I promise, book 2 is coming.

I want to leave you with one final sneak peek, and that is the working title and art for book 2. The current working title (likely to stick because I like it) is System Vending War. And I will end with one final thank you to all my readers and everyone that took a chance on Grand System Vending.
