Danny woke up under a tree. The sound of birds had woken him up. He turned to the birds, "Good morning to you too, Mrs. Bird." The tree he was leaning against shook as he got up. This man was a two-meter-tall mass of muscle. He had a strange appearance with unkempt blond hair, brown eyes, and a face that could be considered neither ugly nor handsome. Only one of the suspenders of his brown pants with suspenders was intact.
Danny whistled and started walking when he saw a young boy from his village giving daisies to his girlfriend. "I must give flowers to Pretty!" he shouted.
"Danny, you idiot, you've ruined our mood!" the young boy shouted. "Excuse me, but I have to go, bye-bye," Danny replied with a shy smile.
No flower was big enough for Pretty. Danny loved Pretty very big, so he had to give her a big flower. He saw a cherry tree with beautiful flowers. The tree was five centimeters in diameter and 1.4 meters tall.
He grabbed the tree with both hands and pulled several times. Thanks to his superhuman strength, the tree came out with its roots on the fifth pull.
In the meantime, he noticed a squawk on the tree, and it was coming from a small squirrel. He reached out his hand and gently took the squirrel in his palm. "I didn't realize you were in the tree, Mr. Squirrel. If I had known, I certainly wouldn't have disturbed you." At that moment, the squirrel bit Danny's hand. Danny then noticed the lower body of the squirrel, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Squirrel, I didn't mean to offend you." He put the squirrel down, took a few steps, and whispered to himself, "These womenfolk are so touchy."
Ten minutes later, people gathered in the center of the village to watch the show. A 1.60 tall girl with black hair and big black eyes was hanging laundry in classic village dress. Meanwhile, a big muscular man appeared with a tree in one hand.
He handed the flowering tree to the girl as if it were a bouquet of flowers and asked, "Pretty, look what I brought to you. Do you like it?"
She blushed a little at the laughter of the people around her, but it was something she was used to. "Yeah, it looks good, Danny," she said shyly. Danny jumped up and down with joy and started dancing silly.
At that moment, a young man of about thirteen or fourteen came out of the house. He turned to Danny and said, "Alissa, tell that idiot to plant the tree in the garden so that we can at least eat cherries if the tree doesn't dry up." "Of course, dear brother," Alissa said, as if on command, "Danny, I would appreciate it if you would plant your beautiful gift in that corner of the garden."
Danny grinned and said, "Of course, Pretty," With glee, he took the shovel from the corner of the barn next to the house and quickly began digging a hole.
Meanwhile, Elise angrily snapped at her husband. "That Alissa girl is using my innocent Danny boy again. You're his only blood relative, his uncle. Shouldn't you protect him?"
Hank scratched his beard, turned to his wife, and said, "I hear you, Elise, but I don't think Danny will understand. Danny wants to help Alissa." Elise said, "He thinks he's helping his girlfriend. He doesn't realize he's working for a girl who wants nothing to do with him. They made him plow their fields, and he chopped their wood. Should I say more?
And then, a year ago, this girl and her weird siblings showed up and bought old Bill's house and land. Nobody knows who they are, but I think you have some idea who these people are. Tell me."
Hank said, "Darling, of course, I don't know who or what that girl is, but I know that as the headman of this Danville village. I have to implement rules fairly for everyone, and I am proud of being fair.
Yes, I can punish Alissa for using Danny's lack of intelligence to trick him. But before I do that, I have to punish Danny for pestering Alissa obsessively. Frankly, I'd rather watch Danny help a young woman and her siblings make a living than do both of those things."
Hank thought, 'This girl is probably the head servant of a nobleman and this boy is the heir of a nobleman who lost his land. Nothing else explains their sudden appearance or their strange behavior. I hope no one is after them. I don't want any disaster to befall our village. Not when the Baroness has sent my son Ean and others with power in the village to war.'
eight months later
In the middle of winter, Hank was writhing in panic. Bandits had kidnapped a girl from the village. They demanded twenty sacks of provisions in exchange for handing her over. Supplies were not a problem. The Baroness was an irresponsible and incompetent ruler, but not a bad one.
The peasants had no problem starving due to heavy taxes. The problem was that when the king asked for soldiers for war, the Baroness did not have enough soldiers. So she recruited all the people in the villages with the first tier and above power and sent them to the army. This meant that in Hank's village, his son Ean, a tier one fighter, and two other tier one power holders were sent to war, which was a disaster.
Hank hoped the bandits didn't know that no power holders were left in the village. If they did, what he was doing now was very dangerous. Usually, the bandits couldn't attack the villages themselves because of the picket wall around them. Still, they were going to exchange in the open, which was too dangerous. The bandits were not supposed to know that there were no power users left in the village unless they had inside information. But if they did, the situation would be much worse. They could, without a hassle, attack and take the supplies and those who brought them captive.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Hank called to Danny, "Danny, come here and bring your axe." Danny was very strong for a normal man, so instead of a regular lumberjack axe, he used a sturdy axe with a long, thick handle that looked more like a double-handed battle axe than a lumberjack's axe.
Danny came in with his axe in hand and his usual clueless and innocent expression on his face. Hank looked Danny up and down. He thought to himself, "Oh, what am I thinking about, this kid can't scare anyone with that expression on his face." Then he put his hand up and screened Danny's face as he stared at him dumbfounded. Suddenly he startled himself, and when he hid his face, Danny, the friendly, gentle giant, turned into a giant lump of muscle with a big axe in his hand. Hank yelled, "Elise, get us some black cloth.
The five of them trudged through the snow. Four donkeys and two mules carried the sixteen sacks, while the big man, his head wrapped in a black cloth, carried the other four sacks over his left shoulder, holding them with one hand. In the other hand was his fearsome axe.
They arrived at the meeting point. As they had agreed, there were five of them for five of them. The bandits looked in horror at the big man with a massive axe in his hand, his face covered with a black cloth. Even under his thick woolen robe and fur cloak, you could see that he was enormously muscular.
Hank said, "As we agreed, we bring the supplies, and you send the girl. The bandits pushed forward a girl of about nine or ten years old with a look of dread on her face. As she was about to leave, a hand grabbed her shoulder and pulled her back. The apparent leader of the bandits turned and said, "What are you doing, Nate? Can't you see the giant? I'm a tier-one warrior, but even I wouldn't risk fighting a giant like that, even if he was untiered!
Hank shouted angrily, "Nate, you bastard! What are you doing?" Nate was a short, balding man, "Hank, I told you I'd get revenge if you didn't divide up my father's land the way I told you to. You didn't listen to me. You gave my dumbass siblings an equal share with me, me, me! And I am the oldest. I should have gotten the biggest share."
Hank gave Nate a piercing look. Hank said, "One the law in this land is equal shares, two your father's will is equal shares. How could I give you a bigger share?" At this point, the girl began to beg, "Please let me go, Uncle Nate." Nate slapped the girl hard, and she fell to the ground. "Let's slaughter these weaklings, and then your father will be next." Hank "You kidnapped your niece. You betrayed your village. How low can you stoop, Nate? If you don't kill us all, you will never return to the village, and when my son Ean hears about this, he will find you and kill you even if you run to the end of the world.
As soon as the bandits heard Ean's name, they became uneasy. Many bandits and monsters had died at Ean's hands in this area.
Nate grinned, "As I told you, gentlemen, there is not a single tiered warrior left in the village. They have all been sent on the campaign by the Baroness. There may be one or two left in other villages, but not one in this one." "What about the giant?" the bandit chief gestured with his sword.
A wicked smile spread across Nate's face. "Him, he's powerful, stronger than he looks. Even though he has no tier, he can cut a tree in half in one blow." The bandit chief said, "Then we'll honor the agreement." Nate continued, "He's the most harmless person in the world. He checks the trees, so he doesn't damage bird nests, walks carefully when he sees ants, so he doesn't step on them."
Nate walked fast and started walking toward Danny, and Danny didn't know what to do. He didn't understand what was happening. Hank made a move to protect his nephew, but he felt the bandit chief's sword on his neck.
The short man moved to pull the mask off Danny's face, but Danny backed away, then the short man chased the giant as the bandits laughed. Meanwhile, the bandits drew their weapons and took the remaining four prisoners. No one dared to fight in the presence of a tiered bandit chief.
When Nate couldn't keep up with Danny, he shouted after him. "Stop you idiot, stop, or else I'm going to skin your dear uncle, then I'm going to fuck Alissa, the girl you're in love with, right in front of your eyes. I'm going to hang your aunt by her hair and whip her and then set her on fire, and I'm going to feed your little cousins to my dogs. Come here, you idiot."
Danny ran, crying in desperation, no one was after him except Nate, and it wasn't long before he was free of the short middle-aged man. And then he ran for another half hour. Then he fell to his knees in exhaustion.
Before his uncle took him in, he had been with his father, who drank a lot and beat him badly. His mother died when Danny was very young. He didn't remember much about her. But his father tried to make him say something every day, telling him that if he did it, he would be invincible. Danny would say it, but it didn't work, so his father would beat him.
One day his uncle visited his brother and saw his nephew bruised black and blue. He pretended to return to his village, and a few days later, he sneaked back and took the boy away from his father.
Danny was in despair. All his loved ones were in danger, Ean would have solved it easily, but he was far away. He remembered the words his father had made him say so many times. With all his heart, he cried out in tears
.
"I beg you, Alviribus, god of power and war, a god who cares only for power and not for good or evil, my soul has failed. I have not achieved my goals. I sacrifice my soul and body to you, take my body from me, and put someone inside me who will achieve my goals." In this part, his father made him say something about rebuilding a kingdom, but Danny didn't want that. Danny knew he would die in the end, but he didn't care. His goal was to protect those he loved. Tears were streaming from his eyes and snot from his nose. He sniffled, "I don't care if I die, protect my loved ones, Alviribus." At that moment, he collapsed, trembling.
