Chapter 8. Into the unknown.

Chapter 8. Into the unknown.

Looking around the room I hear a chime from a medical droid. A mechanical arm unfolds from the nearest wall revealing to be our ship's medical droid and it is one I am familiar with. I don't believe many people haven't heard of the D1k series medical droids. The D1k series droid is a nuit built into the med bay and linked to the main computer.

A genius engineer and programmer with advanced medical knowledge made the D1k. This creator is not humble, has no bedside manner, and is extremely rude. His droid personality was modeled after his personality. The D1k series became known as, "Serious Dick".

" child, I am programmed to inform you that you are not injured or ill. I am surprised your gender is male as your physique is frail resembling that of females." D1k says.

"I passed out from using the Force and overexerting myself," I explain.

"An unproven religious belief backed only by superstition. No data backs up this exertion, do not lie to your physicians," D1k replies dismissively.

I levitate multiple objects around the room above my hand," Then what's this?"

"... Not enough data is available. I will give a diagnosis once the analysis is complete, you may leave," the droid states.

I shrug getting up from the bed and walking out the door," Whatever".

Leaving the med bay I approach the flight deck where Teya's still piloting the ship.

Teya spins her chair and smiles at me," Glad to see you awake Roan".

"I'm glad we are still alive but as you can see my lack of basic power is still very problematic," I respond while sitting beside her.

"We'll figure something out Roan," Teya assures.

The hazy figure from my dream flashes through my thoughts. He said something to the same effect and vague hints of what actions I should take. Who is he? What is he? I don't mean species but that even Jedi and Sith rarely possess the power to enter dreams and some of them that do are Force Ghosts.

"Roan?" Teya says grabbing my shoulder and snapping me out of my reverie.

I realize I've been staring at nothing, "Sorry just wondering where are we going next?"

"..."

I stare at her, "Teya where are you taking us?"

Teya mumbles,"Murakami System."

"What?!!! That's the M-11 grid next to Coruscant and Dathomir. Are you insane?" I shout.

"Even if we know what quadrant it is no one is able to accurately map it. Since only those sensitive to the force can find that system and the unnamed planets within we should be somewhat safe from the empire there. Other than from the Sith and their inquisitors," Teya explains.

"Why go there at all? It's just a place full of sentient plants who use the force to communicate?"

"Long-lived sentient plants who have Mastered the force for longer than most people live," Teya reasons.

"They can only communicate with a symbiotic bond and those are beyond super rare. Usually, the bonded person has the same amount of midi-chlorians as the Murakami orchids themselves. Neither of us is exceptional in that regard Teya," I counter.

"It's a great place to hide right under their noses and if we're lucky we can learn abilities long lost to the Jedi and other force users alike," Teya argues.

"We can also end up captured, tortured, or dead from this rash plan. We should have headed for the outskirts," I lecture raising my voice.

"Well, the most dangerous part is over because you were asleep for days. We are already in grid M-11. We need only to find the Murakami system now," Teya says proudly.

I run my hands over my face," Great... What's done is done but this was a rash decision made without me. Just like when you attacked Retra: I had the situation handled but you jumped in before even knowing how to use that lightsaber properly. It has a super high-grade focal lens system that allows you to adjust the blade's length, power usage, and compact strength of the blade. At max strength it can nearly destabilize another lightsaber and max length is nearly twice as long as that of a regular lightsaber. The small upper buttons allow you to adjust the blade in battle and surprise your opponent. Right now you have it set to maximum conservation of energy."

Teya takes out her lightsaber and turns it on examining the previously undiscovered buttons. She then marvels at the blade as it doubles in length and then compacts to a thin ultra-defined blade like the famous dark saber. The purple crystal light turns a deep dark amethyst color that from a distance looks very similar to the dark saber.

Teya sighs," I'm sorry Roan I've been very impulsive and I've been acting like I'm the leader but that isn't the case. I would be dead without you and you are more suited to leadership than I am."

"The apology is appreciated and I hate to change the subject but what the hell is that!" I say alerting Teya to a massive spatial distortion of some kind.

It looks like a black fluctuating whirlpool with a golden light at the center. I can feel intense fluctuations of force energy from it as if a group of force users are working together to maintain it. What if it's a sealed-off space with a singular entry point hidden using force illusion? I theorize. An educated guess that would explain how such a well-known place remains such a mystery.

Teya interrupts my thoughts," What's what? I don't see anything".
