Chapter 3. The Grey and white door.

Chapter 3. The Grey and white door.

The pitch-black tunnel was barely illuminated by our lantern's glow. Checking the walls periodically by holding the lanterns up to them and finding no sign of Kyber crystals, we pushed forward.

"We must have traveled at least a mile or two Teya," I explain.

"Patience young Padawan," she jokingly repeated what the masters often said to us as younglings.

I frown, "Very funny, but we came here for crystals and we haven't seen any. So either there never were any or the imperials have found them."

"The Troopers were guarding the entrance which means they sent a search party inside and we haven't seen them yet," Teya points out.

"That's a good point, I hadn't thought about that," I nod readying my steel ballbearings for a fight by making them float overhead.

Teya tied the mini pickaxe to the stick she acquired earlier before signaling to move forward.

After walking for at least another hour we heard the modified voices of troopers, "It won't budge Sir".

"Then blast it!" Says what sounds like an officer.

"Pew," sounded a blaster.

"No damage sir," the Trooper reports in an apologetic tone.

" Send for explosives," The officer commands.

"Is that wise Sir, the tunnel could collapse," A trooper objects.

"Do you want to explain to my boss why we failed to completely scout the tunnel and ruins," the officer argues.

"No Sir," replied the previous trooper.

"Then radio for support," the officer demands.

Trooper, "We have no signal here Sir."

"Then go outside!"

Teya and I exchange a look letting each other know we are thinking the same thing. With a few hand gestures, she let me know she would take out the trooper sent to radio for supplies. Then immediately after we would surprise the rest with projectiles.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Sure enough not thirty seconds after she hid just ahead of me I heard an "Ack," and a "thump!' From her target.

"Nice," I whispered.

"Your turn, let's see what you can do with those," Teya points at the bearings hovering above us.

Pretending to crack my fingers I motion forwards commanding the bearings to fly throughout the room ahead. I was blind to what was in there but I needed to only cause chaos and make the balls collide with enemies.

Taking note that I felt through the Force where the walls were upon impact I continue to barrage. The same is true for when I hit a person because the impact is different and the target gives way to the impact easier than rock does.

One of the soldiers made it out of the corridor that I was barraging and Teya struck him with the blunt end of the pickaxe stick knocking him unconscious.

Waiting several minutes and hearing nothing before moving forward, we cautiously round the corner. In preparation for a potential threat, I call back the bearings I'm so accustomed to.

Suddenly we hear, "DIE JEDI!"

Summoning my ballbearings into a defensive shield formation I blocked a blasterbolt that would have hit her in the throat.

Normally the bearings wouldn't stop a blaster bolt or a lightsaber but I knew of tech that resists lightsabers and blasters and created a technique that mimics them.

Weapons and armor that vibrate intensely can resist being cut through by a lightsaber or blaster. The same is true of a dense metal object spinning rapidly.

When creating my defensive shield all the balls rotate outwards. Ideally, this formation would oscillate like a wave as well but I'm still too weak to pull this off simultaneously. It took me years to pull off properly just spinning all the balls after coming up with the idea. Taking even more just to master spinning them outwards at a moment's notice. It's a technique that embodies my idea of how I can use the Force with my limited power.

I collapse to one knee having overspent my power. Three times today I've used my strongest techniques. Unlike other Force users, I cannot constantly draw power rapidly due to my low Midi-chlorians. As I train I increase my capacity to store energy within myself slightly but this takes time and has limitations. So does increasing my efficiency with my power but every little bit helps.

First Teya is surprised at nearly being mortally wounded but composes herself before throwing the officer into a cave wall using the Force.

My guess is he turtled on the floor while the Troopers tried to fight back and once the barrage was over grabbed a blaster and waited. The rest was just luck that he came out initially unscathed.

With another smack on the noggin, the officer was going to be unconscious for quite a while.

"My..." I said seeing the door the Troopers and Officer had been looking at and arguing about before.

A double door ten feet tall covered in murals. One door showed a lightsaber-wielding man in white. The other showed one in grey. The door has no locks and yet does not open. What could be on the other side?

Teya who was previously in awe asks, "How the heck do we open this?"
