After suffering so many wounds, the dragon finally discovered a way to counter my teleport skill. The answer was quite simple; the monster just had to keep using its fire breath nonstop. Thanks to it, our numbers began to decrease at an alarming rate. While water could counter that skill, we didn’t have enough people to counter such a massive attack. As if that wasn’t enough, even my most potent ice arrows melted before reaching the dragon’s mouth.
I looked at Harry’s shields, but those couldn’t endure the dragon’s flame even for half a second. All the survivors, without exception, could only run from the beast. After losing another two hundred survivors, we noticed that the dragon couldn’t move fast while using its fire breath, and that was why the survivors were running like hell. Only those who could hit the dragon from a long-distance were attacking, but the damage caused was close to zero.
‘Our only option is to attack the eyes and nose…’
But even the dragon's eyelids had scales to absorb magic and physical damage. Since the creature was always moving, my magic arrows couldn't enter its heard through its nose. Thanks to that, I wasn’t causing much damage as well.
Claire probably could cause enough damage, but she needed time to focus. The dragon had good instincts; whenever Claire was preparing that skill, the dragon would attack her. Attack from the ground wasn’t an option, and since she couldn’t move, I couldn’t teleport her to midair, falling from the skies was also considering moving. Even though when teleporting wasn’t.
‘Whatever, I didn’t spend more than thirty days inside that tower to rely on others. I spent to obtain the strength and destroy any obstacles.’
I teleported, and then I appeared in front of the dragon’s eyes, created and spiritual knife and activated the hot blood skill. I attacked the dragon’s right eye, but its eyes closed, and it hit a scale. The knife disappeared, but I could see a small crack.
‘For now, this will be better than magic arrows.’
Although spiritual knives couldn’t be created in a sequence, I had a few of those stored inside me. So, I put the vampire hunter’s crossbow inside my backpack and summoned those spiritual knives, using both my hands, I slashed the dragon’s eyelid. After the third slash, the dragon finally decided to react. He began to move his head in all directions trying to throw me off balance. Too bad for him, but I could always teleport and put myself in a good position to attack again.
Ignoring the dragon’s pitiful attempts to stop me, I continued my attacks. After using my last spiritual knife, I saw a small piece of flesh unprotected. Since I couldn’t wait six seconds in that place to create another spiritual knife, I teleported to midair twenty meters above the dragon, and then I sent five ice arrows toward that same eye.

‘I guess it’s better than nothing…’
I teleported to where Sandra was, and then I said to her what I did, she also decided to focus their attacks on that eye. But I didn’t expect much from the survivors’ accuracy. In any case, something changed again. The dragon was still breathing fire, but I could see its eyes on me.
“It seems that you pissed him off…” Harry said nervously.
“He is good at pissing off others,” Claire said.
I already knew that, in any case, I could use that. In a sense, the dragon defeated us; we lost too many survivors, probably six hundred. But the monster already knew it would die and that was precisely why decided to look at me. The beast would try to kill me before that.
I teleported to where Stella was, and then I climbed on her back, she began to fly, and then I studied the dragon. The monster’s eyes were always on me; I was fortunate that the beast didn’t figure out that I didn’t have more dark arrows. Otherwise, the creature would destroy all of us in a matter of seconds.
The survivors’ attacks were still falling on the dragon’s face, but only Claire’s and Rose’s attacks were causing any real damage. Besides, the other survivors were trying to run away from the beast; only when they were safe enough, they would try to attack.
‘I guess I should bring Claire and Sarah, their combined attacks and my thunder arrows will do the trick…’
After I decided what my next action would be, the dragon used its fire breath to attack us, but Stella managed to escape from the flames. However, the dragon insisted. Ignoring the other survivors’ attacks, the dragon aimed its flames only toward us. After a few seconds without hitting anything with its attacks, the dragon began to fly still trying to attack us with its flames.
‘It finally noticed, huh.’
The dragon suffered damage when I used the dark arrows for the first time, so, after so much time without using those arrows, the monster noticed that I couldn’t use those anymore. Nothing could make the dragon fall from the skies anymore.
“Tsk.”
I almost could see the dragon grinning while it was approaching; the creature knew that I was annoying because of the things I could do. But in essence, I was only a worm in comparison to its power. The beast didn’t even have to use its power; it only had to use the weight of a single limb to kill me.
“You won’t be able to kill me that easily. I hope your meat tastes good, and I also hope that you will give me lots of coins and orbs.”

Stella was smaller and lighter, but she didn’t have the fly skill. So, even though the dragon was massive, it could fly faster, and it was approaching quickly. However, even though I couldn’t make the dragon fall, I still could easily evade it. Just before, the flames reached us; I teleport us to above the dragon. I shot five ice arrows toward the dragon’s eyes and Stella used her thunderstorm, the arrows melted but thanks to the scales, only a small amount of water appeared.

‘This will take a while…’
When the dragon noticed I had done, it tried to change its directions, and that gave us plenty of time to run away. To make things easier, I made Stella fly around the tower to give the others some time to prepare another massive attack. The dragon was too resilient for me to finish it alone.
I ate some blue herbs and then I noticed that I didn’t have any more of those. Even the potions I obtained inside the tower had already been used. Now I only had those three potions I got from Ann’s guards.
‘There is no other choice…’
I didn’t even use those inside the tower despite the many wounds I received; I wanted to keep those stored and used when I was really about to die. But it couldn’t be helped. Besides, the coins I would receive by killing the dragon will probably enough to buy at least two of those potions. It wasn’t time to hesitate.

Stella was also getting tired, but I made her fly toward the city and then fly in circles around the tower. Too bad the dragon’s was still using its flame breath, if it just tried to bite us, I could have made the damn monster hit its face against the tower.
For a few minutes, we kept using our hit-and-run tactics. The damage we caused was accumulating, but Stella was reaching her limits, she was getting slower, and the dragon wasn’t giving us much time to attack. And I also was running out of MP.

“Let’s return and see what they have prepared for us.”
Stella nodded and began to fly upward in a straight line, the dragon did the same, but the explosions of my fire arrows prevented the monster from reaching its top speed. Before we reached the top, I drank one mystical potion, and when we returned to the top of the tower, I saw for a fraction of a second, the remaining survivors near the border ready to attack again. None of them had shields; they would go all out with the next attack.
When the dragon appeared, the survivors used all their skills and ranged weapons to attack it. But that wouldn’t be enough thanks to the dragon’s speed. So, I used the only thing I could slow down the dragon’s advance, earth arrows. I made earth arrows rain on the dragon’s face.
‘What the hell…’
The earth arrows were three meters long and looked more like pillars than arrows. They were sturdy and heavier, and one second after hitting a target they would become sand. I created a few of those, but since they were too heavy, they occupied a lot of space inside my backpack. To make matters worse, those arrows didn’t cause more damage than the ice or fire arrows. The best thing I could with those was to break the limbs of some weak evolved monsters. But to my surprise, the earth arrows were hitting the dragon in the face and caused more damage than I thought. Not only that, the dragon couldn’t even fly upward anymore; it was using all its power not to fall.
‘Is earth its weakness?’
It was possible; all monsters were weak to some type of attack. Fire monsters were weak against water and ice attacks, so, since it couldn’t use earth magic, it was easy to accept that was its weakness. Besides, my analyze skill wasn’t level ten, but when it reaches that, I was pretty sure it would inform me of the target’s weakness.
The survivors didn’t know what was going on, but they didn’t waste time thinking about it either. Every time, an earth arrow hit the dragon, the monster trembled in agony, and that raised the survivors' morale. But soon I ran out of earth arrows, the dragon was covered in blood, and it was wounded, but it had enough HP to make us tremble with its eyes.

“Tsk.”
I sent a low of magic arrows toward the dragon’s face to buy some time; I needed to create more earth arrow. It didn’t have to be so long, but I needed a few more. But to my surprise, a single arrow, which came from the middle of the survivors, became three and then hit the dragon, causing a loud noise.
You have obtained 65000 Evolution Orbs.
You have obtained 65000 Evolution Coins.
You have obtained 01 Dragon’s heart.
‘She really killed, huh.’
I obtained a lot less than I had expected, but at least I broke my limit. But soon I forgot about those when half a meter long covered in blood heart appeared right in front of me. I didn’t expect to receive such a thing; until now, we didn’t receive any item soon after defeating monsters.
Dragon’s heart: this item can be used in rituals.
Almost no information, but eventually I would learn what that thing could do. I put the dragon’s heart inside my backpack as I watched the dragon falling toward the city ground.
“Congratulations, area 43 has been completed. Finishing area 43… all survivors alive will have their HP, MP, and STA increased by one hundred points…”
It was an excellent reward, but while Stella and I were approaching, I didn’t see a single survivor celebrating. We lost more than sixty hundred survivors, and even though they didn’t know each other for a long time, many survivors were crying. I, on the other hand, wasn’t feeling anything. I was just a bit curious about what was about to happen. In any case, even though I decided not to care anymore, I felt relieved when I saw all the kids and the members of the special team alive.
Claire was trying to calm down the kids because they could see blood and dead bodies in all directions. Sandra and Harry welcomed me, showing tired smiles, while Sarah was treating the wounded, Rose and Sabrina were giving potions to other survivors. Meanwhile, Charles and Lucius were trying to count how many survivors were alive.
“The server 43 will be shut down in three minutes; all survivors will be forced to log out. All your possessions will be automatically transferred to Earth.”
Martin was right; we really were in a virtual reality. It wasn't possible to separate all the survivors in the city in a single night, but it was also impossible to connect all of us to some virtual reality in a single night. But I decided not to dwell on that. Eventually, I would discover how and why, anyway. But the last part bothered me; it was almost looked like we weren’t on earth… weren’t we connected to a virtual reality on earth?
When I wondered about that, I saw my body and the other survivors’ bodies slowly becoming light blue particles of light. That made me feel worried, and obviously, the survivor began to panic. Eventually, all my body disappeared, and for a second, I saw nothing but darkness, but when I blinked, I saw myself in the middle of the city again. I saw thousands of survivors in front of me, and among them, I saw four people that I haven’t seen in two years.
