Skill: Teleport Lv 01 00%
Info: You can teleport to any point in your field of vision; you can also teleport to other locations as long as you have been there or you can feel the presence of someone or something on that place. You can teleport any numbers of allies as long as you are touching them or they are touching you, the cost of the skill will multiply accordingly with the number of allies teleported.
Cost: 01 MP/01 Meter.
Luck was on my side; I didn’t even have to test that skill. I already knew what I had to do to kill the grotesque and disgusting creature.
‘Twenty and five meters of distance… I guess I can’t bring Rose and Claire with me.’
They would make things easier for me, all that I had to do was to drink some MP potions, but I couldn’t stand more of that taste of vomit in my mouth. So, I decided to go alone. I opened my backpack, and then I activated the skill, then in the next moment, I was falling toward the beast’s head. The creature looked at me surprised, but I didn’t care. I sent my last five fire arrow toward the creature’s mouth; I aimed carefully, and the arrows went down through the creature’s throat. And then I heard the satisfying sound of the massive explosions, after that the beast convulsed while its HP was dropping.
‘It didn’t die… so resilient.’
I finally landed on the creature’s forehead and them I aimed the metal crossbow toward the beast’s right eye, and I pulled the trigger. The explosive bolt exploded, and disgusting fluids flew toward all directions. I ignored that unpleasant feeling and smell, then I used the vampire hunter's crossbow, and I made steel bolts rain over the destroyed eye. After just a few seconds, I received that message, and a dark sphere appeared on my hands.
You have obtained 7500 Evolution Orbs.
You have obtained 7500 Evolution Coins.
You have acquired the Dark Orb. You and your allies MP increased by 50 points. As long as you touch the dark orb, you can use the skill: Magic Vampirism.
‘Not bad, not bad at all.’
While I was pleased with the news, I had more pressing matters to attend to. The massive beast was falling, and while I wouldn’t die because of the fall, I wasn’t interested in feeling the pain. So, I teleported back to where Rose and Claire were. They looked at me with wide eyes and mouth open.
“What are you guys looking at? The mission isn’t over yet.”
The big boss died, but we still were surrounded by hundreds of monsters. Claire and Rose began to attack the innumerous small fries, but with the dark orb in my hands everything became easy, I could drain the monsters MP, and I even could send that MP to my allies.
‘What a fearsome item.’
It was a pity that I couldn’t keep this to myself. In any case, thanks to the dark orb, we killed most of the enemies while a few ran away because their creator had died.
“Wow! Amazing Ethan!” Harry said, while strongly patting my back. “You managed to kill half of the creature by yourself in just a few seconds! And you can teleport!”
“Can you stop hitting me? My HP is decreasing.”
“This is your new skill, huh. “Claire said with her arms crossed. “It is one hell of a broken skill.”
“Good job, Ethan,” Sandra said, showing a grim face. “Although you could have told us what you were planning beforehand. And why in the hell did you laugh like that?”
“I got excited; this skill is that amazing, after all. Besides, I didn’t have time to explain; the effects of my arrows were about to end.”
My words didn’t convince Sandra; it was pretty much evident that acted disregarding the safety of the others. While I really didn’t want to see anyone dying because of my actions, I wanted to enjoy the fight.
“Isn’t it time to return? This hot weather is killing me, and I want to drink lemonade which doesn’t taste like vomit.”
For a few seconds, Sandra looked at me; she wasn’t angry, nor was she sad. For some reason, I could see a hint of understanding in her eyes, but in the end, she just sighed and gave us the order to return.
Along the way, using the dark orb, I drained the monster’s MP to restock my stock of steel bolts. I couldn’t create the magic arrows inside the truck; I needed to concentrate. So, I decided to do it only at night. Although it would be hard to create those while enduring the urge to train the teleport, it was evident that skill would become more efficient as its levels up, and I would be able to move through greater distances. However, even though that skill could put me on the best place available to kill the monsters, I also needed the magic arrows to kill the fiercest enemies.
‘On a single day, I used all the arrows that I created in a week… but at least my MP increased a lot.’

The bonus that I received at the end of the fight would make things easier for me; maybe I will be able to create the dark arrows and put them inside my backpack before passing out.
After stopping at the hotel to say to the other survivors that we succeeded, we headed toward the tower, and then I put the dark orb on the altar. We heard the sound of glass cracking, and then we noticed the barrier had disappeared.
“Let’s call it a day,” Sandra declared. “We already fought too much, and we deserve some rest.”
Although I was a bit interested in the things that I would find inside that tower, I wasn’t foolish enough to enter it without a supply of magic arrows. So, we returned to the hotel to rest. The survivors looked delighted with the fact the food and water didn’t taste disgusting anymore… even though they only didn’t have the chance to eat and drink for a few hours. In any case, I left them to continue the party from yesterday; I created a shelter to protect Silver from that hot weather, and then I left to meditate and create the magic arrows. While I was at it, I decided to relax drinking some lemonade.
‘We will probably face stronger monsters than that grotesque rat inside that tower… shall I create more but weak magic arrows or just a few strong ones?’
Using the teleport skill, I could make my attacks many times more effective, so, the best option was to create powerful magic arrows. However, the more powerful the magic arrows were, the more difficult it was to create. I was pretty sure MP was magic points, so, to create those arrows, I had to control my magic power. But magic only appeared after the hell broke loose in the city. Not only that, the elemental magic arrow was the first skill which I had to control my magic power. Create the weakest arrows was easy, I just had to think, but to make more powerful arrows I had to control the magic power. It was like trying to make arrows out of clouds.
‘What an unnerving process.’
However, I couldn’t give up just because of a few minor problems. I used 100 MP to create each one of those last fire arrows, and they were enough to destroy the insides of that beast. It was troublesome, but it was worth the trouble.
‘I guess I will try to make those arrows twenty percent more powerful for the time being.’
My MP had increased so; my concentration wouldn’t wane just increasing the effectiveness by twenty percent. Just when I was about to start, Claire appeared.
“Do you have a moment?” Claire asked.
“I’m kind of busy right now. Try again tomorrow.”
I was already condensing the air to create an ice arrow, but she ignored me and sat by my side. I looked at her, annoyed, but she just shrugged.
“Don’t mind me; go on,” Claire said.
Like hell, I would be able to concentrate with another person so close and observing me, but I decided to try it anyways. It may come a day where I will have to use all my MP to create a single arrow to attack an enemy during a battle. I had to train to be able to do that too.
“You looked like you were having fun, “Claire said, looking at the arrow slowly appearing out of thin air, “when we were fighting that monster. You looked ecstatic when you learned your new skill.”
“Shouldn’t I be excited? With that skill, I will be able to achieve my goal.”
“And what would that be?” Claire asked.
“World domination.”
Claire punched me and then sighed; she knew the last person who would want to dominate the world would be me. Who in their right mind would try to become the ruler of a world full of monsters? Only stupid people like Ken and Ann would, no wonder they died so quickly.
“There are more important things in life, you know,” Claire said with her head down. “It’s a dangerous path, the path of battles and carnage. You shouldn’t enjoy things like that; we are fighting for survival and not for enjoyment.”
What kind of things were more important than enjoyment… the first thing which appeared in my mind was the word family. But only that made me feel a little depressed. Even though she was right, it didn’t mean that I was wrong. Whether I enjoy or not killing monsters and fighting them, as long as I don’t cause problems to others, everything was fine. For some reason, that way of thought made me frown.
‘As long as I don’t cause problems to others…’
That was a scary way of deciding my actions, if I don’t prejudice anyone, then that was fine, but if someone loses something, then that was a bad thing. I didn’t notice until that moment, but that was the parameter that I had been using to decide my actions for the last two years.
“I agree with you; few things are better than lemonade.”
This time Claire just sighed, she knew she wouldn’t be able to have a serious conversation with me. I already decided that I would live a fun life in this new world or at least die trying to have one. I always tried to emulate on myself the greatness of my parents and siblings, but since I wasn’t then, I failed, and I lived a pathetic and boring life. I wouldn’t repeat a mistake.
Although I was pretty sure Claire tried to make me fail with her words; I succeeded in creating a fifty centimeter’s long ice arrow. The arrow was so awesome that I could sense the temperature in that room decreasing. Quickly, I put the arrow inside my backpack. Meditation was great; I could increase and recover my MP while creating magic arrows.
Soon after I finished that arrow, the door suddenly opened, and Harry accompanied by Rose and Sarah appeared.
“Ethan, Claire,” Harry said, showing an astonished expression. “You guys need to see this.”
The fifty-first day didn’t even have finished, and it seemed new changes occurred. Although it couldn’t be something like the tower, we didn’t felt anything after all. We left the room, crossed the lobby leaving the surprising survivors behind, and when we opened the wall's massive gate, I finally understood the reason for their surprise.

“Things aren’t looking good.”
“What do you mean by that?” Claire asked.
“I can’t see their HP, MP, and STA. But they can use skills and each one of them broke a single type of limit.”
If that wasn’t enough, I couldn’t see them on the radar, even though I could see them with my own eyes and hear them. Besides, the other monsters ignored them. When I explained this to the others, they became even more surprised. But Rose understood why.
“It’s probably because they are already dead. “Rose explained. “Their energy can’t be seen, because they don’t have energy. Someone or something is giving them infinity energy.”
“Maybe it’s the tower.” Sarah said.”
“It makes sense,” Rose nodded. “They only appeared after the tower became available for us, they are probably coming from there as well.”
“So, they have an infinite amount of energy?” Harry asked, surprised. “If that is the case, how can we kill them?”
“They are made of bones and magic,” Rose said. “If we attack them normally, they will probably regenerate. We will have to smash them to pieces to make sure they won’t cause problems. I think that is the only way.”
Smash enemies? The best thing I could do was to explode enemies… I immediately knew those skeletons would cause one hell of a headache to me.
