Ezra wakes up to the sound of crickets and cold autumn air, he sits up on the grass and looks over to see it is sundown.
He looks over at his friend who apear to be talking between each other, completely ignoring Ezra, he stands up, feeling his feet on the soft grass below as he aproaches them.
"When should we depart?" He adjusts his golden hair in a messy wolf cut.
"I suppose soon, we aren't in a hurry but we should probably go before we feel any hungrier... Our money is quite low after all..." Helena says with a yawn, her eyes blinking tiredly.
"Anyway, let's go... We don't wanna be caught at night..." Ezra walks off and gestures for them to follow.
They soon do so and follow closely behind, the sun has set further and is now fully over the horizon as only the stars above can be seen glowing in the ethereal nightscape.
They walk through the forest before them, walking through the enchanting umbra with weary expressions, their eyes only apearing to be half open as they finally walk only to be greeted with an aura of death, their eyes widen and pupils dialate as they see a burning village in ruins with many soldiers fighting and people running for their lives.
They immediatelly hide behind some trees and rocks, watching the situation unfold, a mother with two little children runs past them and an arrow flies at the mother, flying through her head as she falls to the floor in a pool of blood, the children run over around her, crying and shaking the mother's unmoving body.
Some blood splashes on Ezra's face when the arrow hit her and his expression quickly turns to rage, he leaves his hiding place but Johan grabs his hand, "Ezra, don't be brash... These are trained soldiers..." He says in a monotone voice.
He looks at Ezra's face, that is consumed by fury, he lets go of his hand and only nods before Ezra tells him to take the children to safety and walks into the active warzone.

He enters the village in ruins without shoes, he walks with his fists clenched to his sides as he only says "Catena." and golden chains separate the battle and even injure and kill some soldiers.
His whole forearm is enveloped in chains, he creates a black handle and rips off the chains creating his golden chain whip, his eyes glow golden.
"I'll tear you to shreds, you arrogant fools!" He yells out as the soldiers turn their heads to him, "a spellcaster..?" they look at him in confusion and slight fear.
He swings his chain whip, the long glowing chain destroying everything on the way to the soldiers, curving and bending to sever and cleave off entire limbs of the soldiers, they runs to hide but the ten meter chain extends further as Ezra walks forward slowly.
From the cover a soldier runs at him with his spear, Ezra merely turns his head with an expressionless face as the spearman fazes through Ezra's glowing body. With a flick of the wrist, the chain-whip curves back and wraps around the soldier's neck and with another flick his head is sent flying.
Helena watches the insuing chaos from behing a far away tree, Qiang and the children closely by her side, the children cry loudly as the event unfolds and Helena tries her best to comfort them, to no avail.
"Damnit, kid... How long will you take to kill them?!" She scoffs angrily but puts on a warm smile as she hugs the kids and gives them comforting words as she attempts to distract them from the death of their mother.
Johan runs around the area, entering the village from the other side after summoning his swords and entering a close combat battle with the soldiers in the blue Seelvian uniform.
Ezra continues to brandish his whip however, destroying almost everything without care. The soldiers hide and run for their lives, "who is this kid?! Why can he use such a strong spell?!" they continue to yell and run until a soft male voice can be heard from above.
"Weak manna? How boring..." Ezra's chain whip shatters much to his surprise as he looks up in shock at the voice.
A man floating in the sky before the moon, his silhouette lit up by the moon's glow as he looks as if he stands on the air itself.
"I am ashamed my soldiers could lose to such a weakling..." the man snickers as his men chant "Elite Captain Fa Jin!" In his presence.
"I will not allow Seelvian scum like you to cross the border so turn back now, children. I will not ask twice." He commands loudly, gaining attention from everybody in the area as his majestic figure casts a shadow on the ground below.
