Chapter 5: Achelois, the blue moon and Ilmarinen, the eternal smith

“So…, why is Sephora sulking anyway?”

“Because she really dislikes being around people, that is why I’ll be nursing your sister back to health here, and we’ll have her Instructor, if they’re not too eccentric, come here, as Sephoras punishment for her carelessness.”

They had just left the palace and were walking side by side with Achelois supporting Phoenix, helping her walk and channeling her energy to keep her stable.

“Is it a good idea to bind her soul to something in her condition? And who is this Ilmarinen guy?

“The Soul bound weapon will actually stabilize her allowing me to focus on repairing the damage to her body without having to worry about keeping her alive, which will make the whole process safer. As for who Ilmarinen is, well just like Sephora is the empress of the Void and Azathoth is the king of the Eldritch, Ilmarinen is the eternal smith and I’m the embodiment of the blue moon”

“So… you’re all, like, gods or something?”

“Yes, in a way, though most here prefer the term fallen, though outside they call us the damned, as we are all gods who have fallen out of grace and where imprisoned here by our pantheons or the Six, the only exceptions to the rule are Sephora and Azathoth, who created the damn place, not as a prison mind you though the Six perverted the truth to say they did, and your mother, Balance the youngest of the Six, who was trapped here back when the Six where called the Seven, though I don’t know the story behind that…”

As they were talking, the palace they had left behind barely visible now, they arrived at a small mansion which had clanging sounds coming from the back. It was made of completely out of metal and stone, though most of the metal was surprisingly blue.

“Welcome to my home, Il is working at the moment, so I’ll get you a drink while we wait for him.”

“Y-your h-home, you l-live with I-ilmarinen?”

“Yes dear, we’re married, it’s why we were shunned. But enough of that. Come sit.”

As they sat down, on a blue couch, Achelois opened what looked like a mini bar.

“So what would you like girls? We don’t have much I’m afraid but we do have the basics.”

“Do you have something from where you’re from, I’d like to try something like that please!”

“D-do you have a-any j-juice?”

“Of course, one moonberry surprise and one lunar-orange juice, coming right up.”

They sat and chatted, mostly about Achelois and Ilmarinen, for a good hour before the clanging stopped and slim, young, almost feminine looking young man walked in and Achelois jumped up to greet him.

“Hello dear! How goes work?”

“Fine… I see we have guests? I already prepared two casts.”

“Yes! This Phoenix, my newest patient, and her twin sister Argentum!”

“Hmm… The daughters of balance! Well, a pleasure to meet you, I guess. Now come, I want to get back to work. We’ll have enough to chat afterwards.”
