Chapter 1: Awakening

“~urgh”

She startled awake and tried to sit up only to muffle a scream as pain shot through her back. As she looked around in the dim silverish light, she saw the source of the groan that woke her. A girl with silver hair splayed around her and some kind of silver tattoo around her right eye that glowed dimly in the dark illuminating the area around her a bit. When she tried to remember how she got here pain flared through her head almost causing her to pass out. As she tried to see if she could remember anything, all she got was her name: Phoenix. She couldn’t even remember her surname. “Hey.” Suddenly she was startled out of her revery, as the other girl suddenly tapped her shoulder.

“What’s your name?”

“H-huh… I-it’s Phoenix what’s yours?”

“I’m Argentum, what’s up with your left eye?”

“Guh, w-what? M-my eye?”

“Yes, your eye silly, it looks like it’s made of Quicksilver and is glowing. Come there’s a pool over there we can use as a mirror”

Argentum stood up and started pulling her with her, causing Phoenix to stumble slightly on the slippery stone, but Argentum caught her before she could fall into the pool.

““What the-””

Both of the girls stared at their reflections dumbfounded. Staring back at them where two almost identical girls that looked around 16. Both had long glowing silver hair going down to slender hips, long legs with a well built body with very pale skin. There were only two major differences: whereas Argentum had two normal eyes with silver irises and an intricate silver tattoo around her right eye, Phoenix’s left eye looked like it was made of pure quicksilver with an intricate silver tattoo around it that was a mirrored version of Argentums. The other difference was that while they both had two large sets of wings angelic looking wings, something Phoenix had only just noticed, Argentums were silver with a beautiful black pattern on them, Phoenix had the inversed colour scheme, wings as black as night with a similar looking silver pattern.

“Well, you two are getting along quite well!”

The two girls spun around to face the voice and Phoenix unbalanced by the unfamiliar weight of the wings fell backwards into the pool.

The woman laughed as Phoenix got back up spluttering shook herself as the water slid of her wings and scrutinized the woman in front them. She had black hair dusky almost grey skin but the weirdest thing about her were her pitch black eyes. Looking at her was like looking at an endless void, her Voice seemed to echo endlessly.

“Void got your tongue dearies? I’m Sephora Empress of the Void.”

““…””

“Oh lighten up a bit will you? I have clothes?”

Having said that she pulled two bundles of clothes out of thin air and tossed them to Argentum.

“I’ll be back in a bit with Azathoth and get dressed. I doubt you want to be naked when he arrives, and even if you didn’t, I wouldn’t stand for it!”

And with that she disappeared as quickly as she appeared.
