New Book: MY EYES GLOW RED.

Hey, faithful readers. While Empress is on hiatus, I thought I'd take a moment to plug my current LITRPG project. This time I'm doing VAAAAMPIRES! Or rather just one vampire.

My Eyes Glow Red. | Royal Road

The Blurb:

An ancient Vampire loses his final battle and dies while taking his enemies with him...

... only to awaken somewhere new, not only somehow alive but HUMAN once more!

Sort of.

Although there are similarities to his original world, this new place is dominated by a class-based leveling system, where the rarest, most powerful jobs dominate society. Ironically, the new job assigned to him is VAMPIRE LORD.

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

Oh, well. There are worse things in life than doing what you already know.

But just because he helped destroy his old civilization doesn't mean our protagonist wants to repeat the slaughter. After being a monster for a thousand years, what could be more novel than becoming...a hero?

Too bad centuries of casual evil is such a difficult habit to kick.

-Weak to strong progression!

-Moderate crunchiness.

-A genuine antihero.

What's a 'genuine antihero?'

Well, just like I used Empress to ask how a psychopathic person would behave if given unlimited power in a fantasy setting, I now want to explore what it means to be perfectly sane, but still willing to do anything to succeed. Antiheroes have been labeled as "snarky good guys" for ages. Or they're portrayed as Jack Bauer psychopaths who'll torture a toddler with a razor wire if it means stumping those pesky terrorists. It's always taken to an extreme, when all the original definition meant was "A protagonist without traditionally heroic qualities."

Our new protagonist Kyler has been a very effective bad guy for a very long time. Now we're going to see what happens when someone like him applies those traits for the alleged greater good. Or what a guy with the mind of an ancient monster believes to be the greater good, anyway. It'll be fun! Read it!

Pleeease?
