Finished with their meals Sora told the boy to wait at the table as she walked towards the counter where Beatrice waits, when she arrived at the counter Sora asked the innkeeper whether Beatrice knows the details or not.

“I already tell her about the details madam.”

“Thank you very much.”

“No problem madam.”

“Um… So I just need to look after him right madam?”

“Yeah, and while you’re at it, can I trouble you one more time?”

“Sure madam, I’ll do anything.”

“Can you please wash him Beatrice, and excuse me Mr. Bernard do you have a place to take bath or anything?”

With a resolve to do anything for 5 gold coins Beatrice nods with enthusiasm while Bernard hesitatingly gave his response after seeing how dirty the boy is. And when Sora saw Bernard face she offer him some rewards as well.

“I’ll give you 2 gold coins if you let him use the bath.”

“…… Sure, you can use my bath Beatrice.”

Instead the bathroom for the customer Bernard told Beatrice to use his own bathroom. And after remembering the things she forgot Sora asked the innkeeper again.

“Sorry, but can I trouble you with another thing?”

“Sure madam.”

“Can I ask you to buy several sets of clothes for the boy?”

“Sure thing madam, I’ll ask one of the waiters to do the errands.”

“Thank you very much.”

After giving her thanks to the innkeeper Sora reached her pouch and gives 2 gold coins to the innkeeper.

“One gold coin is for the bath, and another one for the sets of clothes, I’ll pay the rest when I return.”

Return with Beatrice to her table where the boy keep waiting with grumpy face, and when she thinks about introducing them to each other Sora remember that she forgot to asked the boy name.

“I’m sorry for making you wait, but this is Beatrice, introduce yourself to her.”

Since asking the boy name would look strange Sora tell him to introduce himself. With confused look the boy looked at Beatrice and introduced himself.

“Good afternoon madam Beatrice, I’m William.”

Amazed by the boy polite behavior despite his looks Beatrice greets him back with smile.

“Excuse me ma’am Elris, but is she going with us?”

William asked Elris, demanding for explanation.

“No, she’s here to take care of you.”

“But, you said we’re going to find the cure tog− ”

“I’m sorry kid, but the place where I’m about to go is a little dangerous, so I asked you to wait for me here.”

“But you said−”

“You promised me to do everything I told you to do right?”

“And right now I told you to wait for me here, are you going to break your own promise?”

With dejected face the boy went silent. Satisfied because the boy stop arguing, Sora turns to look at Beatrice and gave her 2 gold coins and a key to her VIP room above.

“Please look after the boy, you can use my room to let him rest and please don’t let him leave the inn.”

“I’ll pay the rest when I return.”

After giving her thanks to Beatrice, Sora leaves them and head for the counter to ask where she can find guards to report the crime.

“You’ll find them in the eastern gate, they’re fighting there right now.”

The innkeeper told Sora to look for guard in the eastern gate.

“Thank you very much, and please, if the boy asked for any food or drinks please give him, I’ll pay them when I return.”

“Sure thing madam.”

“Once again thank you.”

Leaving the inn Sora walked heading east towards the gate. After several minutes passed she arrived at the plaza and seen a lots of adventurer coming from the east, while some seems dejected, some other seems very exhausted, only few manage to return with smile. Even after they won the battle somehow the atmosphere around them looks gloomy, while wondering what happen Sora keep walking towards east in hurry and suddenly she saw a glimpse of Dwane and the other with their heads down, because she’s in hurry she decide to ignore them and keep walking with haste towards the gate. When she arrived at the gate Sora asked the surrounding guards she could find.

“Excuse me, I wanted to report a crime.”

“I’m sorry lady, but can you please asked someone else, I’m tired.”

Denied by the first guard she asked, Sora asked another just to get the same response. Irritated because the guards keep refusing her, she walked up the stairs to get on top of the gate, ignoring the guards that tried to stop her, she keep walking. By the time she arrived on top of the gate Sora shouted.

“I wanted report a crime, can anyone help me.”

Afraid because the general will hear her shout, lots of soldiers start to surround her while making excuse just to drag her downstairs ‘Sure lady, I will take you report, so please come downstairs’ and while the soldiers trying to take her downstairs Sora heard a familiar voice speaking behind them.

“Move away, what’s all this ruckus about?”

After hearing their general order the soldiers start to clear out from Sora surrounding. And when Ajax saw Sora he spoke with a little bit irritation showing on his face.

“So it’s you lady, do you need something here?”

“I wanted to make a crime report, but your subordinate keep refusing me saying they were tired or busy.”

“Is that so, but if it’s about someone stealing your pouch, sorry but we can’t help you, we’re busy treating the wounded and collecting the dead.”

“Well, it’s not something big, but someone is keeping a corpse inside the house.”

Irritated because of the General response, Sora told him about the crime half-heartedly.

Taken aback about what Sora just said, General Ajax gave his serious responses and ordered two of his man.

“You two followed her to the crime scene, be careful and arrest the criminal if you can, but if it’s too dangerous return here and ask for some reinforcement.”

The General pointed the two men near Sora and ordered them to follow her, after she manage to get guards Sora leave the gate and walked to the west followed by two guards. Arrived at the legal office she than proceed to enter the alley next to the building and leads the guards following the path she remember from her previous visit with the boy.

Taking turns here and there in the small alley the two guards that been following Sora grew uneasy, and when they’re about to asked, Sora point her finger on a small house in a dim alley.

“There, that’s the house.”

Arrived in front of the house the guards knock on the door with Sora standing on their back, soon later a female voice can be heard coming from inside the house.

“A minute.”

Without time to be surprised the woman who supposed to be dead is standing inside the house as she open the door, confused because what just happen Sora suddenly asked.

“Where’s your husband.”

With a suspicious tone after seeing two guards standing in front of her house the woman called out her husband.

“Randal can you come here for a moment.”
