9. Every rabbit has its day

9. Every rabbit has its day

These earth and wood rabbits are some of the weakest elemental creatures in the world. They are also herbivores, so they also lack the ferocity the predatory beasts should have. So, if I can not beat 2 colonies of rabbits by myself, I would become a disgrace of a lightning Elementalist.

I conducted in elemental energy from my red core to the whole body. The buzzing of lightning could be heard as sparks flew out of my body from time to time.

I took my battle stance and waited for them to get closer.

Just when they reached only 3 meters away from my position, unlike before, I put all of my physical force on my feet. And ~

"Boom"

I couldn't control my new founded speed and was sent flying by the propulsion. My uncontrollable body crashed onto the Earth rabbit leader who was at the very front of the gang.

"Ouch!"

"Kew!"

Both of us cried in pain! But we were uninjured. My powerful constitution managed to negate most of the damage while the rabbit leader's defensive layer protected it from internal injuries.

But I didn't want to give it any chance to retaliate. So, it was again sent flying as my vicious kick landed. And followed by a series of punches, I knocked it out.

Seeing their leader get done in seconds, the rabbits panicked and chaos ensued among them. The wood rabbit leader was to first run followed by others. But, I wasn't done with my experiments yet, how could I let them leave them so easily?

Golden lightning surrounded my hands. With my swift movements and explosive punches, I transformed into a Bunny smasher. My onslaught continued for only 3 minutes before the remaining rabbits ran away. I didn't chase them as I could feel mine near empty origin core.

In an open verdant field, I, a lonely handsome teenager was standing and looking at the sky surrounded by dead rabbits. My long hair up to the neck was swaying in the air. Those are the most thrilling moments I have enjoyed in my life.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"I have worked hard for almost 9 years for this moment. The result... is satisfying."

Just when I was enjoying this feeling of all-powerful, one 'dead' rabbit's body twitched. Then miraculously, the rabbit stood up and looked at its' surroundings with its large ruby eyes.

That got my attention.

"Oh, still alive? Aren't you a tenacious one?"

I was about to head towards it, but my complexion froze. To my dismay, one after another, the dead rabbit started twitching and came back to life"! They looked at each other and were just as confused as I was.

"What the f*ck??? what's going on? Were they playing dead? Or, Rabbit Zombies? Coming after me even after death? Do they hate so much, or did the world forsake me?"

Messy thoughts occupied my mind as I didn't know what the hell happened. But one thing I knew, I was devoid of any energy but those 20 rabbits I knocked out were alive and kicking and also "very angry."

So, I ran away as my life depends on it. Catching the sight of me fleeing, the rabbits also let out cute shrieks and raced after me. Never in my life did I imagine that I would run away from rabbits, hiding my tail between my legs.

10 minutes later, I climbed down from the mountain with tons of bite marks and a swollen face, red and blue injury marks - all over my body. I couldn't walk anymore as I was extremely exhausted. After some time, I couldn't control my body and fainted, falling on my face.

After, don't know how much time, I regained my senses. I saw a familiar ceiling and a sobbing figure beside me.

"You are awake, son. Sob, Sob"

"Hey, Mom. Ummm, why are you crying?" I tried to get up but couldn't. My body was full of bandages.

"Don't, be a good boy and lie down. And tell me who dared to do this to you?"

"How did I get here?" Reluctant to answer her question, I asked back.

"Oh, you stopped by Carl's house before your training. After Carl returned home, he learned about it and went to the mountain, only to find your unconscious figure. He also carried you to a doctor and then delivered you here like a bandaged package. Look, how much he cares about you. Remember to repay his kindness."

My heart warmed up. Carl, such a thoughtful guy.

"Now now, don't change the topic and tell me, who did this to you?"

I scratched my nose as it was such an embarrassing event. But under my mom's hawk-like gaze, I could only sigh and mutter a single word-

"Rabbits"
