Just after the class, I literally ran toward the Healing Department with a big grin on my face. Because- today was a special day.

I got my first official patient!

After weeks of studying human anatomy, we can finally start treating other students. The battle academy had too many sparring matches happening here and there. So, injuries were inevitable. And this gave the Healing department a continuous supply of broken things that needed to be fixed.

And I got my first one!

"Should I be this happy? Ahm.. why am I treating my patient as my new toy? Even if he is broken, he's still my 1st patient. "

Though it will be my first time, I didn't feel nervous at all.

As a bright student who is always threatened by Miss Edna about getting expelled, I have always paid attention to the classes.

Very Attentively!

Me being a punctual student 'did' happen overnight.

It all started one memorable day. I went to class after cultivating all night! That whole night, I tried to guide all the elemental energy into the core. But I still couldn't do it properly. Even before they reach my core, my blood would suck almost all the energy. So, it took me four times the supposed time and resources to supply my core. By that time, the sun was up and, I was tired as f*ck.

I always heard from Carl that sleeping in class is one of the best things a student can do in his lifetime.

So, why not try it out?

Pillow-like clouds were floating in the Bright Sky. A gentle breeze soothed me through the window. Sometimes, little Robins would whistle beautifully. Experiencing this natural beauty, surrounded by a group of young beauties, and listening to a mature beauty~ a beautiful young man fell into his beauty sleep on the beautifully curved yet minimalistic table surface. He enjoyed the bliss of student life with no care for the world.

But, it looked like. someone didn't like him having all the fun of student life.

"Aryan Indra, is my lecture boring to you?"

"Of course not, Miss Edna." Even though I was half asleep, her sharp tone didn't fail to hit my eardrums.

"Then, why are you dozing off?"

'Huh, I can't just tell her that I am tired and need to sleep, right? Should I try something different?'

"Miss Edna, your voice is so gentle that it soothed my tired mind. I couldn't help but close my eyes to feel its soothing care. But don't misunderstand, I am listening to you attentively."

Laughter from beautiful voices chimed in unison for a moment before a really cold voice repealed them.

"Are you trying to impress me with your 3rd class flattery? "

'Hmm, shouldn't she thank me for praising her voice? The master cheat code that Jacob bastard taught me about flattering women didn't work on her! Should I try more? Do I want to become the next title of Krieger News, Student running after instructor? That would be devastating.'

I hurriedly responded, "No, mam."

"Then why are you making excuses even after sleeping in my class?"

My voice got stuck.

'Why are you treating me like a criminal, Miss Investigator.?'

And no answer came from me.

From that day on, I suffered from Miss Edna's discrimination as the sole male student in the class. To make me a model student, she didn't forget to ask me questions in class. Not even a single day!

So, not to embarrass myself in front of so many ladies, I always completed and double-checked my homework. I might have forgotten to sleep, but I didn't forget to study human anatomy from that day.

In a nutshell, I became pretty experienced with the human body even before my lab work!

All courtesy goes to my instructor made of ice chunks.

And most importantly, my lighting is so heaven-defying that it even heals my beaten-up opponents. Now, healing others was a piece of cake, only if the patient doesn't have serious injuries.

On my way to the patient's room, I met a Senior student responsible for listing the admitted patients. After exchanging greetings, she handed over me a report and asked,

"Are you nervous, Aryan? He is your 1st patient with such serious injuries, you know."

Till now, I had always healed external injuries like cuts, bleeding, burned skin, damaged muscle fibers, joint pain, etc.

After studying Human Anatomy and Physiology all these days, I discovered the human body was way more marvelous and complex than I thought.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Any Elementalist with healing properties can heal external wounds like a quack but, healing injuries of internal organs like the heart, lungs, or liver was a whole different matter. You can not blindly use the healing factor on them. It can lead things to a worse situation for the patient. So I could understand why she would ask me such a question.

I read the report and answered,

"Don't worry, sister. I got this. By the way, what happened to this patient? His all leg bones are broken. Even the rib cage was fractured. I don't think any 1st-year student will get in such a state while dueling. At least, not under any supervisor's gaze."

She frowned a little, "I can't say for sure. But I heard a rumor that someone from the noble Silva family insulted a senior student's parents from the Weapon Master department and got beaten like a ragbag. Both of his legs broke in the process."

"Silva family? Isn't the patient's name Thiago Silva?"

"Yes, this is our guy from rumor."

“Well, whatever. How he got injured is none of my business. I am going, sis. Take care.”

With a shy smile, she wished me good luck to show her support. Even though I don't know her that much, I felt good about her heartwarming attitude.

"Such a nice girl. Well, this isn't surprising. Students from this department get such healing properties because of their soft personalities and warm heart. They are born to help others. Hmm, but why the f*ck did I get this property? Am I Soft? @#"*#, " I thought inwardly.

Although that Silva boy's injury looked serious, I was confident. Whoever beat that guy, was sensitive enough

not to touch important organs. Healing those buck's feet was the least I could do with my miraculous lightning.

As I entered the room, I saw a guy full of bandages. He lay in a position that could only move his neck. I almost burst out laughing after looking at his turtle-like figure. But he was my first patient, I wanted to be courteous and gentle.

"Hello Thiago Silva, I am Aryan Indra. I am from heali..." Before I could complete my sentence, I heard an angry shout, "How dare you come inside, dirty mongrel. Where are those bitches from the infirmary? They dare to treat a noble like me like this?"

I couldn't help but knit my brows at his sudden outburst."Hey fella, I understand you are injured and not in a great mood. But, can you stop for a moment and listen? I am sent by the healing department to treat you, ok? And, why are you insulting those girls from the infirmary? I am pretty sure they didn't do anything wrong."

However, in response, I heard an angry shout, "A commoner dared to do this to me yet the academy turned a blind eye to this. Now, another dared to talk back. Such an ignominy! "

Veins popped out on my forehead as I heard this. 'What the hell? What does my commoner status have to do with his healing? Did the other guy fracture his skull too? Even so, I decided to ignore it as he was my patient.'

But Thiago didn't forget to add oil to the fire.

"Oe Mongrel, just because why didn't you bow down even in the presence of a noble? Now kneel down and apologize."

Now my head was full of question marks. Did this guy even hear a single thing I said?

Seeing me standing still, this guy continued, "Dirty mongrels, your kind is nothing but livestock nobles raise for taxes, to replenish the hounds that die in the borders. Yet, just because you mutts get into this academy, do you think you are special enough to disrespect your masters?

I said- Kneel"

My gaze turned colder and colder as my body was shaking as I felt extreme convulsion to this single word- "Kneel".

But he took it as a provocation.

"Why are you staring at me like that? Do you want me to dig out your eyes?"

His words hit my nerves again and again.

I tried to ignore his unintentional incitement as he was one of those kids with a superiority complex mom talked about. I didn't even care about what he said about commoners being livestock. But, when he asked me to kneel down, I couldn't control myself anymore.

Recently, I have been meeting so many good people in the healing department that I forgot a simple thing- not all humans are of the same nature. Human society has people from the dark side too. Not all kids from noble families are considerate and friendly, like Erika and Jacob.

'So, if I stumble upon them in the future, should I accept it, as nobles have higher status?

No! This will only make my commoner status a weakness as time goes on.

Then what? Ignore it like people ignore dogs barking on the road?

Well, I can't ignore this rare breed of dogs. Really! Their barking hurts my ears too much.

So, I should teach them basic courtesy in the place of their parents. Starting with this little patient of mine.'

As I finished my inner monologue, an evil grin bloomed on my lips.

As if he felt my evil intent, Thiago flinched and asked, "What are you waiting for, commoner bastard?"

I walked ahead step by step, making popping sounds with my fingers. Then, crackling golden lighting coiled around my hands.

"Let me heal you first, my little lost lamb. And as a bonus, I will also teach you some basic courtesy that your mom forgot to teach you."

Thiago shouted - "You dare!"

These two were his last clearly pronounced words.

After that, the miserable screams of Thiago filled the room. I controlled my lighting like a pro medic. So it didn't reach his brain to make him faint. I beat him up again and again with a fist full of healing lightning just like I did to the rabbits.

But it looked like Thiago couldn't tolerate my godly Healing technique. "Aryan's Intense Care " and fainted.

"Hahahaha, you couldn't even last longer than rabbits."

Before he fainted, I didn't forget to deliver my teaching as promised,

"Choose your words wisely."

After healing Thiago intensely, I was finally back to my senses. As I looked at the piece of dead wood in front of him, I exclaimed,

"What the... Why did I do this to him? He is just a naughty noble kid who thinks he is above everyone else. And I tortured him just like that?"

"Do I have a dual personality? My personality switches when I am angry. No, I did this to him while being extremely sober! How dare he compare commoners like us with livestock? He even had the atrocity to insult those angels from the department. He deserves a beating."

"What if he reports me to the authorities? Whatever, let's ignore him for now. He doesn't have proof anyway. My beating will heal him instead. What's done is already done, right?"

Various thoughts ran in my head before I threw them into the trash can with a "who cares" attitude.

But in my heart, I knew that I didn't beat him because of the bullshit reasons I gave to myself. Those were only for convincing my inner self that this was the right thing to do. For some reason, my hands were really itching to beat him up.

It was truly a memorable day for me as I healed my 1st patient~ officially and also lost my temper for the first time.

It will be a memorable day for Thiago too. For becoming my first patient and also my first victim. Literally, my first VIP (Victim Into Patient)
