Chapter 34
After copying all the books he wanted to read, Deon returned to his room and planned on going to his Dreamscape immediately to start reading them, but before he could get comfortable, someone knocked on his door.
“Who is it?” Deon annoyedly said, still laying on his bed, not bothering to stand up
“Sir Deon, Fortress Master Krey asked me if you are going to the banquet area?” The servant’s voice rang through the door
‘Ah. Right. There’s that thing.’ Deon thought, ‘Maybe, I can skip it?... No… Those three visitors were here for me… If I don’t attend, it would be extremely rude. That’s probably why the fortress master asked for me to confirm.’
“When will it start?” Deon asked
“One hour from now,” The servant replied
Deon looked at the clock in his room and saw it was already 5 pm. ‘Damn, I’ve been reading all this time? I didn’t even realize the time.’
“Tell the fortress master that I will be attending,” Deon replied
“Thank you, Sir Deon. I will Relay your confirmation,” The servant said
“Thank you,” Deon said before sighing. *Sigh* ‘Damnit, I don’t have time for parties. I still have a lot to do.’
The new high knights trained for six days out of the seven days of the week, with Sunday as their rest day, and Deon didn’t want to spend his rest day partying. Every Sunday, Deon still diligently trained, and today is not an exception as he wanted to spend his night reading all about the Dreamscape.
‘Whatever, let’s just get this over with,’ Deon thought as he started preparing for the banquet. Although the servant said that the party would start 1 hour from now, he still wanted to be early to show his good attitude. ‘Hopefully, it won’t be a long banquet.’
…
Adamantium Fortress: Banquet Room
The banquet area was filled with countless tables and seats, with a main table on the stage of the banquet area.
At the side of the banquet area were long tables filled with foods and beverages, with servants stationed at every long table to serve the guests.
Deon entered the banquet area 15 minutes early, but there were already countless people in the banquet area as they talked amongst each other, waiting for the banquet to start officially.
‘Did William Attend?’ Deon thought as he looked around the banquet area, looking for William so at least he could talk to someone.
But before Deon could look around, a servant approached Deon. “Welcome, Sir Deon. If you could follow me, please.”
“… All right, lead the way,” Deon said
The servant led Deon to another room, where he saw Fortress Master Krey and the three visitors talking to one another.
“Ah… Deon, you are here,” Fortress Master Krey said
“Fortress Master Krey, Thank you for inviting me,” Deon said while saluting to the Fortress Master.
“Heh. No need to thank me, this banquet is for you, although unofficially, and all these gentlemen here are here for you, so although people won’t know you are the star guest for today, at least we know, right?” Fortress Master Krey said.
“Thank you, Fortress Master Krey, But you shouldn’t have,” Deon said but thought. ‘It would’ve been fine if you just let me train for today instead of throwing me a party.’
“Haha. Don’t worry about it. It’s very rare for our order to have a top-class talent. It’s a great cause to celebrate our talents,” Fortress Master Krey said. “So, for this banquet, join us at the main table. Although we can’t say that we are celebrating you for your protection, you should at least experience being part of us at the main table.”
“Thank you, Fortress Master,” Deon said while groaning internally ‘Ugh… It would be a lot better if I just remained at the normal tables. That way, I can exit early.’
…
Adamantium Fortress: Deon’s Room
After a few hours of the banquet, Deon finally returned to his room, with Deon immediately plopping himself toward his bed, completely exhausted.
Deon looked at the clock and saw it was already 10 pm, making Deon grumble under his pillow. “I can’t believe the banquet took 4 hours. What a complete waste of time. I should’ve just used that time to meditate. For people who value talent so much, they waste too much time. Damnit, what complete waste of a rest day. I didn’t even rest properly.”
Since the visitors were here for Deon, Deon was forced to entertain the visitors and had to act friendly and engage them in conversation that Deon didn’t care about, making Deon extremely tired of all the acting

*Sigh*
“I still need to meditate. Now that the visitors decided that I’m a top-class talent, I need to meditate more so they won’t grow suspicious. At least it’s better than having to tell them my Dreamscape.”
*Sigh*
‘At this rate, I probably won’t be able to finish the ‘Dream of Oneiros Clan’ Book. You know what? I can finish that later. I’m actually more curious about the Level 4 Floor in Oneiros Library. I wonder what is in there,’ Deon thought as he started fiddling with the black ring in his hand before imbuing it with his mana.
…
Oneiros Black Ring Space
Oneiros Library: Level 4 Floor
After Deon’s mind entered the Black ring, he immediately went to the Level 4 floor, Not planning on wasting any more time.
To deon’s surprise, the level 4 floor didn’t contain any books at all and was quite small compared to the other level, and the only thing on the floor was a large table in the center of the floor.
‘This is the Level 4? Smaller than I expected,’ Deon thought as he approached the large table.
There were Six Glass Cloches on the table, making Deon quite curious about them, and the moment Deon saw the inside of each Glass Cloche, he was startled.
Inside the Six Glass Cloche were six different body parts: A Single Eye, A Brain, A Heart, A Skull, A Hand, and A Tongue.
“What the –”
At the bottom of each Glass Cloche, Deon saw names for each of the glass cloche and the body parts they held
-Eye Of Providence-
-Brain Of Laplace-
-Heart of Nature-
-Skull of Doppelganger-
-Hand of Oneiric-
-Tongue of Sleepless-
“…”
Deon somewhat feels ominous seeing all the body parts before him. ‘Why does the Oneiros Clan have this?... should I be worried?’
Deon slowly reached his hand toward the Glass Cloche, wanting to open it to see what would happen if he touched them. ‘It should be fine. They aren’t real body parts anyways.’
The moment Deon touched the glass cloche, words suddenly appeared out of nowhere near deon’s face, startling Deon as he immediately guarded his face with his arm
-Unable To Open Due To Lack Of Authority-
“Fuck, that scared me. What is this now?” Deon spoke as he read the words before him. “I can’t open it?” Deon grabbed the glass cloche before him and tried pulling the glass, and as the words said, Deon couldn’t open the Glass cloche in front of him.
“What does Lack of Authority mean?... Is there something I need to do first?... What are these anyways?” Deon annoyedly asked, but no one answered him, which made Deon more annoyed
*Sigh*
“I guess I can only go back to level 3 floor and hope there is some information about this floor,” Deon thought.
Deon looked around the level 4 floor more, trying to see if there were any clues about the six glass cloche, but found nothing.
The Level 4 floor is only slightly bigger than his bedroom, so it didn’t take Deon a lot of time to look around, and after seeing that there were no clues to be found, he exited the Black Ring’s Space.
After exiting the black ring’s Space, Deon immediately went to his Dreamscape and continued reading the -Dreams of The Oneiros Clan- Book. He plans to finish the book, skipping the meditation for today.
…
The Next Day: Monday
Deon was walking to classroom A but couldn’t help but think about what he had learned last night.
According to the ‘Dream of The Oneiros Clan Book,’ The Oneiros clan specializes in Divination Magic; the Dreamscape is a perfect tool for divination as it can store limitless information, which is much better than our biological brain.
And suppose a Dreamscape User accumulated enough information. In that case, the Dreamscape can also be another source of information for divinators besides the Aether since, with Divination, Dreamscape users can sort their information within their Dreamscape, allowing them to prioritize important information or discard any useless information.
Beside Divinations, Oneiros Clan are also good in Transmutation magic or, to be precise, Illusion Magic, as they can use the Dreamscape to Form their Illusion before projecting it into the real world, creating an almost perfect illusion without any flaw.
With Transmutation Magic, Oneiros Clan can also transform their Mana into Dream Force that connects the Dreamscape to the Dream Force or Dream Force to Dreamscape, allowing Dreamscape to have a real impact in the waking world.
The more Deon thought about his Dreamscape and future magic, the more excited he got. Of course, Deon still prioritizes learning Enhancement Magic first before anything else since he is a High knight, and high knights are meant to be experts with enhancement magic.
And if Deon reveals any other magic, then people around him would be suspicious unless he has a perfect excuse, and if he doesn’t, then he plans to never reveal any dreamscape magic he learns in the future.
With the three important figures visiting him, he knew he needed to be careful about what he revealed as it might create unexpected trouble for him. He knew he was incredibly lucky with the three visitors misunderstanding the whole situation.
But even then, because of that misunderstanding, Deon has no choice but to meditate 10 hours a day to keep the ruse going.
After all, who knows what would happen if those three visitors knew that Deon only has high-class talent and Deon has no plan of risking anything by letting them know.
As Deon neared classroom A, he saw the other new high knights exiting the classroom and heading in another direction
Curious, Deon increased his pace and saw William near the door. “Hey, William, What’s going on?” Deon asked
“Deon, you’re here. I was worried you were going to be late. Instructor Edder asked us to go to the training ground. Look over there,” William said as he pointed to the blackboard
-We are doing our lecture in the Training ground for today-
“Oh. All right, Let’s go then,” Deon said as they exited the classroom and walked toward the training ground.
“I saw you at the main table last night. How come you were there?” William asked as they walked
“Hm?... Oh… It was nothing, they just wanted a student at the main table during the banquet, and since I had the most excellent score during the awakening ceremony, they picked me,” Deon said. Fortress Master Krey and the three visitors told Deon not to disclose any information about him being a top-class talent to anyone, even if they were fellow high knights.
“Ohh… Well, you should’ve seen the look of Harris when he saw you with the other important figure. His face was green, full of jealousy,” William amusedly said
“Heh… Seeing that would’ve been funny. It was a pity I was stuck in that main table… it wasn’t as good as you think,” Deon said, imagining Harris contorting his face of jealousy.
“Yeah. I figured. You didn’t look very comfortable,” William said
“I mean, I was with the fortress master and three important figures. I literally had to act very nice not to offend any of them,” Deon complained
“Heh… Well, at least you made others jealous when you seated with them,” William said
“Ugh… I rather have my free time than make others jealous,” Deon said. “Anyways, why do you think Instructor Edder asked us to go to the training ground?”
“I have no idea. You reckon it has something to do with last night?” William asked
“Maybe”
