Jay watched the chaos unfold from his godly room, surrounded by Sol, Stalara, Centi, and Star. The others were still down on the planet and doing some of their godly duties, so they elected to stay down on the planet. Jay was fascinated with how first contact was going between the various races that were displaced by the super volcano.
Contrary to what the sentients thought, Jay didn’t activate the volcano as some sort of punishment. The volcano simply burst because the timer he had set so long ago finally went off, causing the super volcano to burst. Jay was however extremely interested in the many events that were happening simultaneously on the planet.
Jay had watched on as the both Lion lycanthropes and the centaurs fled from the area. There was also a pack of nine-tailed foxes that were originally situated in a cave that led to the interior of the volcano. Luckily for them, since they were the closest when the lava started to grow and expand within the volcano, they were also the first ones to flee the area, and never encountered danger because of this.
Jay was curious why his lion people had named the volcano “god’s wrath” as he was certain this was the first time that something of this magnitude had happened. So he had accessed his godly database, and it had told him that the first chief of the lion pride had named it this because of how high the volcano went into the sky. The chief at the time said something poetic, which was,”The earth trembles beneath his feet, the land rises and the sea falls from his majesty. In anger he struck and all that remained was God's wrath. A reminder to those that wish to challenge the almighty’s power.”
While Jay did not do this, he really liked the poem that the lion chief had come up with. With some tweaking, he was able to see that this story and poem had been filtered down throughout the tribe for many generations, thus the naming convention for the volcano. The centaurs were relatively straightforward, as there were many hordes of locusts that encompassed the volcano, thus it was named Locust Mountain.
Jay was relatively happy with the development of his sentients. Then, as Jay was viewing the war between the dwarves and the beasts, he noticed that Sol had suddenly gone quiet and closed her eyes. After a few moments, he got a notification from his godly system.

[Your Sub-God Solaria, Goddess of Love, has answered the desperate prayer of one of her followers. The mortal has agreed to sacrifice his eyesight in exchange for more power to defend his home within a trench formation from powerful beasts.]
[One of your sentients has had his prayers answered and after sacrificing his eyesight, has gained a tremendous potential boost, and has unlocked the secret technique [Sword Intent].]
Jay was surprised and confused as he looked further into this notification. That’s when he realized something amazing, the sentient who Sol had answered was actually a non-awakener! This was huge news as it meant that even non-awakeners could still be incredibly powerful! This meant that even for the small population that does not awaken a talent, they could still be powerful!
Jay had set it, so 98% of sentients will gain a talent and had left a 2% gap for those the system deemed unworthy within the fate system to hold a talent. But now, Jay knew that this was not the end for those sentients, and could be said to be a brand new path for those sentients to explore! The non-awakened path of power was sure to be an interesting one.
Jay turned to Sol and asked,”Why did you answer his prayer? More importantly, how did you do it?”
Sol turned a shade red in embarrassment, forgetting that Jay could see what she was doing with his god powers. She replied,”I simply heard a desperate cry for help within my mind, asking me for even a little bit more strength so that it could continue to defend. Then I got a couple system notifications, telling me about the details of the specific sentient in question. After realizing that the sentient had no talent and was a non-awakener, the system informed me that in order for the sentient to receive my blessing, he would have to sacrifice something that he holds dear. Then I communicated with the sentient, who was a dwarf, and asked him to sacrifice something for this strength. He immediately told me his sight was his most important asset and he would sacrifice that. Then after confirming with the system, I was able to take his eyesight and give a [Intermediate Blessing - Potential Boost].”
Jay nodded in understanding and asked,”And why did you answer it?”
Sol shrugged and replied,”These dwarves were the first to acknowledge my existence and are actively building a temple for me to rest. After you sent me there last time, I became acquainted with their chief, his wife, and his best warrior. When the warrior, Loominus I believe his name is, asked me what I was the god of, I told him, and he immediately began to pray to me from that day forth. Moreover, his faith in me is strong. As he continues to pray to me every day, I can feel his faith in me growing. I don’t know when it happened but I started to feel a connection to this sentient. That is my general reason for helping him..”
Stalara added on,”I understand what mommy is talking about! Gregaaze prays to me every once in a while, and even though I don’t feel the connection thing she talked about, I do also feel the faith of that young dragon!”
Jay nodded in understanding and said,”Well, looks like we have that question answered”. As he turned back to the projection of his planet, Jay noticed something amazing!
He shouted out excitedly,”First contact between both the centaurs and dwarves, and also the centaurs and elves! I can’t wait to see how this goes!”
