Developing My Little World
Hot Chocolate Sundaes

Hot Chocolate Sundaes

Jay smiled and said,"Kraken, your job is simple and straightforward, you shall rule the Seas and the storms in the sky. You will guard the crack that leads to the last super cave. When the sentients eventually develop boats, you will command their respect and their fear. Even the mightiest warrior shall fear your terrible might."

The Kraken for his part didn't respond and instead sent what Jay could only call an "Emotion Wave" to signal that it agreed. They all exited the machine to the sound of a beautiful harp playing from the other room.

The three of them walked into the living room where ice cream sundaes with hot chocolate were being eaten by many people and creatures.

Jay and the other two also sat in the center and enjoyed the ice cream that was put aside specifically for them by Sol.

Centi finished his ice cream fairly quickly and was instead playing a harp that was colored deep purple like his shell.

Jay was curious and asked,"Who told you about the harp my son?"

Centi didn't stop playing and simply explained,"You mentioned earlier that I had a mother as well. I then met mother and told her of my new status. She created a mock harp and I simply copied the design and then made slight tweaks to make it sound like, as mother called it, "heavenly angels descending to the earth".

Jay chuckled and asked,"What do you think so far?"

Centi looked at his new harp with tender care and nodded his head with deep love in his eyes. He replied,"Yes, it is a wonderful instrument that can move the soul. I cannot wait for the day I find a sentient who can play in concert with me."

They all smiled as they longingly looked at the planet that was still frozen in time.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Jay then asked out loud,"Do I need to evolve the sentients myself or will they evolve naturally?"

Phineas answered this as this was still within his knowledge, unlike the creation of gods within the machine. "You can let the sentients grow naturally though it is extremely rare for these things to happen without intervention. The best way to make the sentients is the sentient creation tools. Sentients are much less complicated than gods so you should have a small portable machine that you can call out with your will!"

Jay had a "aaahh" moment as it clicked in his head. Jay thought about it for only a moment and a small device about the size of a magic eight ball except it was a rhombus. It fit naturally in his hand as if it always meant to be that perfect size.

Jay activated it and a yellow hologram appeared before him. Jay changed the color to yellow on a whim because he wanted to change it up every now and then.

Jay felt a flood of information enter his mind on the basics of creating sentients. Things such as classes, bloodlines, inheritable techniques and many other basic necessities were thrown into Jay's mind.

Jay wasn't burdened by the amount of knowledge either, it simply felt like an itch had formed and then slowly went away over time.

The others looked on in amazement at the process. Jay finally regained his bearings and settled the new information in his mind. He smiled as finally understood that this was indeed much, much simpler.

First, he needed to imagine what the sentient would look like. Second, the sentient can be created by injecting his force of will and energy into it to mold it into the correct shape. Third, he could set "power level" differences upon birth. As well manually setting whether certain species can have traits, classes, etc. (Ex. Humans born with power level of 1. Demons born with power level of 50.) Fourth, he would place a group (5 to 10) on or in an area and they would naturally evolve traits that benefit their climates. On top of that he could also choose to place multiple groups down (up to 3 before consuming godly energy). Finally, he could modify the general biographies of each race and the system will adapt the biographies so that all generations, present and future, would develop in a similar manner to these descriptions.

Jay breathed out a huff as he organized his thoughts on how to proceed. He turned to Sol and asked,"Who do you think we should create first?" Sol was his everything and when they were together he always asked for her opinion before making important decisions. Jay was a good husband and father, as well being a fairly well accomplished architect, however he was very introverted and would rather be at home with his family than ever hanging out with someone. He got really lucky with Sol and the fact that she was as stubborn as a mule. Basically he was socially inept, and before the accident he always asked for her opinion. And now she was back so this habit started to come back.

Sol chuckled as her husband that she knew slowly started to come back out again. She had a lot of trouble convincing him to date way back the but she was happy when he finally relented. Ever since then she always had her eye on him. She knew everything about him, every detail up to the number of times he remembered picking his nose! But the man she met when resurrected was similar but much different than before, as if he had become more hollow and bitter. Now he was slowly returning to his usual self and she couldn't be happier.

Sol thought for a moment with her hand to her chin before finally saying,"Well I guess the most obvious first choice would be humans!"
