Pooh walked down the corridor to the chiefs residence. He was one of the first to awaken the status screen in his home village, so he was obviously a little nervous. Because Pooh was part of the new generation, the old leaders had been wise and invested quite a bit of resources into them.
Pooh was the first time awaken so he would receive a special award, which the chief hadn't disclosed yet.
The chief called out,"Council of Paws, we have reconvene here today to officially celebrate the birth of the first new generation! This bear here is named Pooh Bear, and he is the first to awaken his abilities, despite not even being the eldest. We believe this is a sign of greater potential, so we shall be investing in him!"
There were many murmurs among the other 10 or so bear councilors, but they all agreed to go with the direction. Seeing no disagreement, the chief nodded and said,"Good. Thank you all for your support over the years. As we are replaced, our efforts will not be in vain. This is much bigger than just us, and this requires everyone to sacrifice!"
The chief turned back to Pooh and said,"If you would, please show everyone here your status screen so we can properly assess your abilities."
Pooh saw nothing wrong with this and immediately pulled up his status.

Everyone present for the meeting was flabbergasted at the clear and concise detail in the system. Even a young child would be able to understand what was going on!
The chief quickly calmed the councilors down and regained the calm once more. He looked at the various things on the screen and had a frown on his face.
He asked,"Can you tell me what your talent does?"
Pooh nodded and said,"Of course. My talent, [Multi-Sense], raises all of the senses by 40% from the baseline of my body. It also makes me more "aware" of my surroundings, though the drawback is that my different senses can be damaged if I use this ability for too long, permanently crippling myself."
The chief nodded with a smile of appreciation and said,"Fantastic! This will greatly help us with scouting and threat detection!"
The other counselors also agreed and talked amongst themselves about how they could incorporate this.
The chief looked on with admiration for the young boy and said,"Due to your great potential, we believe you awakened earlier than the rest, thus we concluded that one of the 4 bloodlines we have collected will go to you!"
Then 4 boxes were brought forwards into the chief's hut as everyone looked on with envy. They had made the decision to give all the good things to the new generation, but it still hurt to give away such precious things!
The boxes were opened and Pooh gasped as he could feel the power each bloodline represented. The chief had a look of curiosity as he asked Pooh,"We have collected these bloodlines, but don't even know what they are. Can you scan them and let us know the treasures we have obtained?"
Pooh had no reason to refuse so he replied,"Of course sir!"
[Bloodline: Green Water Python Bloodline (1 star)]
[Bloodline: Mountain Earth Cougar Bloodline (1 star)]
[Bloodline: Water Spirit Koi Bloodline (1 star)]
[Bloodline: Royal Bee Bloodline (2 star)]
"WHAT?!?" The chief roared in pure excitement and glee when he realized they actually had managed to obtain a 2 star bloodline! The other councilors also were going crazy at this brand new revelation!
Pooh smiled and then asked,"May I take away this 2 star Royal Bee Bloodline? I feel I have a high affinity for it." This was the absolute truth, as he really did feel a great calling when he looked at the bowl of blood that laid within the box.
The chief then praised,"Of course! As our most promising talent, you will of course be given the right to choose your Bloodline!"
Pooh smiled, nodded and said,"Thank you chief! Would you like me to do this now, so you can see the effects?"
Everyone in the gave him a positive and very enthusiastic response.
"Yes!"
"Please show us the power!"
"Let us witness God's gift!"
Seeing that everyone seemed to reach a consensus, Pooh took the bowl of blood out of the box. As soon as he picked it up, new information sprouted within his mind. He quickly let his elders know.
"Elders, as soon as I picked up this bowl, I received information on how to obtain a Bloodline. Can someone tie me down, slice my arm open and pour the blood onto the open wound?" Pooh said nonchalantly.
The chief and the councilors were flabbergasted and the chief asked tentatively,"This is part of the inheritance of the bloodline?"
Pooh thought for a moment and said,"No, it's more like a ceremony.."
The chief then had them tie Pooh down and gave him something to bite down on for the pain. Because they were still a primitive civilization, they had to do a much harder version of the Bloodline ceremony. As they got technologically superior over the next centuries the process would naturally be refined and made easier.
The pain from the Bloodline reaching his now sliced open arm burned agonizingly as Pooh reached deep within his soul and fought through the pain with his sheer willpower alone.
