They were pale like the rays of the moon, but solid like water as they glistened in the moon's light. They were real , they existed , he could feel them , he could see them.
Yet at the same time he was aware he couldn't. Spider wasn't sure what to make of this realization, his head could wrap around it completely, and the fact that it could brought up questions in his mind about the nature of the world he wasn't sure had an answer to,.
He wasn't sure how to answer it, but he knew he would.
So with a pull of the web that was there and yet wasn't, the rays fell away. Leaving him naked in the presence of the cold cave he had decided to call home for the night.

Spider stood up and left the darkness.
When he arrived back in the Headquarters if the Deadly Dream he briskly found his way past the giants, through the twisting staircase of endless spirals, took a right past a door of mystery, flung himself past a corridor of chimeras spitting venomous poison and down into the hallways of the females population that the Deadly Dream called home.
Soon he found his target, a door with the typical mage upkeep, strange symbols , a bunch of runes , excetera.
He stopped in front of it and gave two brisk knocks.
Knock knock.
Four seconds of silence gave way to a "hold on I'll be just a minute." That gave way to a slightly long minute before the door popped open.
A woman of green with eyes of pink opened the door, with a cunning smile.
"Spider, I never would've expected to see you here. "
Spider said nothing at first , thinking deeply on the matter for so long a time that the enchantress's brow quirked. Finally the appropriate words fell upon him..
"Let's go on a date. "
