Spider wasn't sure when it happened but their were swords in his hands.
He felt a steady rhythm in his chest and a burning in his legs and he realized he was running.
'Why was he running again? ' Then the memory rocked him.
"Go ahead while I'm still giving you a chance. " Echoed in his head.
He clenched the blades tighter and looked at the mage he was fast approaching.
'He would kill him.' He decided.
'Fwmm!' The wind sounded as a rock narrowly closed in on his face. Spider saw it and lightly swayed to his right in avoidance.
Then he twisted his body as tight as he could,
and let his sword fly.
---------------------------
Vick focused quickly and threw up a wall. The blade barreling through the air making it almost hilt deep before stopping.
On reflex he prepared another spell, and with a small whisper, four cubes popped themselves out of the ground and begun a slow swirl around his head
He fell into a almost medative focus as he maintained the spell, and with adrenaline pumping through his system wrenched his head left and right, his eyes screaming his intent to maim the boy with all his strength.
Except...
the boy was gone.
His head fell into a frantic swivel, where in the hells was this g-
He didn't finish the thought when he felt a strong hand yank him by the neck.
With breath caught by his collar, he had time to choke as a sword rose right where his neck would've been.
"Careful Vick." From behind him came a deep rumble of a voice followed by a large boy who's figure shot downward in a kick.
In a slash so fast he almost didn't see it, the boy swayed to the left and his sword rose in a counter that would take the limb for it's carelessness.
Then the flames came.
Green and rapid like an acidic firecracker, they ripped into life, blocking the blade and sending Spider lurching back in a series of backflips.
On the third flip, spider caught the ground with his hand and landed in a crouch before dashing forward again. The boy zipped left and right while he pulled out another blade, and with a burst of speed was upon them.
Brovy smacked the floor with a flame above and my body moved for the next move without conscious thought. A small whisper left my lips and a series of rocks pierced the air. I smiled. He had to be dead now.
He wasnt.
With a twist like a acrobat he spun his body in a corkscrew and landed unharmed on the ground.

Once again they were in the range of his sword.
I felt a feeling then. Not quite panic , but surely of similar origins. It turned my gut and brought a twisted expression to my lips.
I roared and began focusing on a spell that could take him down.
"Brovy hold him back for as long as you can. I'm working on something."
A large thumb went up in response a spark of flame bursting out from the top. "Of course partner. "
Then they began.
-------------------
I can admit, I didn't expect it to go like this.
An elbow struck towards my head. Then a leg, then a knee, then another knee, then a swift left.
All exploding with flame.
I frowned as I frantically dodged and a dark thought rose to the surface.
I was gonna cut off this guy's arm.
Or so I thought , but in-between avoiding explosions I had a certain degree of certainty he was going to take off my head first.
I went all out simply evading, but after a few seconds and the realization my head was still there, I turned the table. First I left an opening, an overextended blade swung just far enough to leave me open for a counter.
A fist wrapped in explosion came quicker than I thought it would but still my sword which had been overextending hit the ground first.
With a sigh of relief I followed the motion, my body flipping upside down as my hands palmed the hilt of the sword.
The punch glided past as my feet touched the air.
In one motion of pulled abs and force of will my body twisted and a blade came spiraling out of the ground in a singular smooth motion.
With a plop, his arm fell.
'squirt'
Blood jumped across the ground. The mage slowed , his fallen arm was scooped from the floor , with the boom of an explosive jump into a bush he was gone. My eyes fell away from him and onto the one who I had decided to kill.
His eyes were wide and his mouth was whispering a spell. I knew little of Magyk but I could feel the strength of this one. Whatever he was doing it was big.
We locked eyes as the ground shook. I clenched my sword and flicked the blood from my blade. Our eyes met.
It was now or never.
"That's quite enough don't you think." A light feminine voice came falling from above.
I looked up to a lithe creature sitting on a branch. It's eyes slits and it's skin a soft green. Through cloak and mask I couldn't make out any other features but I could swear there were perhaps gills poking out.
The creature looked at the mages.
"How'd you guys get in such a bad predicament. I thought you boys were supposed to be strong? Sheesh," she looked at me. " I must've picked the wrong partners huh.
A nasty glare was thrown her way, but VIck kept casting his spell.
"Stop." Her voice rang.
It was pink her voice. Really pink , oh so pink and warm, and soft and soothing. Oh how he wanted to stop so mu-
My blade sunk easily into my foot, and the pain blasted away the pink.
'Two mages and an enchantress huh. ' I thought about making a frown but stopped and instead let out a sigh.
A voice addressed me from above.
"You're free to leave Spider.... but you can stay and fight me If you like." Her voice shifted and the slits of here eyes glowed red.
"What'll it be? "

As I returned to the squad.
Nella smiled at me, and fell forward leaving me to lead as we jogged our path to Lethos. They spoke of defending themselves from a small squad of two and spoke highly of Vienna's nose making her blush.
Vienna shifted for a change of conversation and looked towards me.
"What about you Spider ? Anything interesting happen? "
I thought about it for a while before shaking my head.
"Nothing much."
