Noelle had no idea how she managed to get through that day
The two ladies, whom Hendrix had mentioned, showed up to look after her, but they did not have the key to the handcuffs.
One of her hands was cuffed to the bed frame. She spent the whole day in bed, feeling like a farmed animal. Her thoughts did not matter. After all, she was just a tool to them.
"Mrs. Freeman, why don't you have something to eat?" one of the ladies suggested cautiously.
Noelle ignored her and did not look up.
The maids helplessly exchanged a look before they quietly left the room.
Noelle lay in the bed motionlessly.
A while later, she heard the familiar sounds of a car engine from the first floor-something she had heard of multiple times.
Those sounds once brought her joy, but she had to conceal her emotions from everyone else.
Now, all that was left was despair and chill.
Soon, she heard Hendrix and the maids talking. The maids seemed to be telling him about the fact that she refused to take any food or drink.
Hendrix said nothing. He entered the room with some food.
Noelle did not budge even when he arrived.
"Get up and eat something," he ordered in a stiff tone and with a flat face.
Noelle did not look at him.
He smirked. "Do you think I have no other way to deal with you? Even if you go on a hunger strike, I could totally cuff you to the bed and get you an IV infusion. When it's time for your labor, I'll make the doctors perform รก C-section on you!

you think I'd never do that? Or did you think you could stop me?"
While speaking, he took a step forward and grabbed her chip, forcing her to stare at him. "Don't worry. I'll hire the best team to look after my flesh and blood. You are allowed to visit it every day.
"Didn't you say I'd never be a good father? Let's see how good a mother you are!"
Hendrix had just come home after a day of meetings, and his voice was cracking. He looked even madder with that hoarse voice and his bloodshot eyes, like a demon crawling out from the gates of hell.noveldrama
Noelle stubbornly refused to speak, but her trembling lips betrayed her fear.
Another idea came into Hendrix's mind.
"By the way, you care a lot about Dylan, don't you? Tell you something my men have gotten their hands on some clues.
"You were right-Dylan wasn't the culprit. He must be taking the blame for someone else, but I don't know whether it's for his father or his grandpa.
"No matter what, he could have turned me down at that time because he was innocent. Even if his family would be impacted, he could at least keep his job at the school.

"Yet, he made a different choice. Noelle, he gave up on you Suchan you love! See? He thinks you're dispensable!"
His harsh speech did not elicit any response from Noelle. She had obviously figured it out.
The smile on his lips deepened. "Oh, did you already know? Am I right to say you're aware of your insignificance?"
"No," she finally spoke in a hoarse voice-like that of a dying old woman as she hadn't taken a sip of water that day. "I'm just accustomed to being dumped. Didn't you do the same to me, too,
