Ch.50 Survive

Aurora's eyes fluttered open, her vision blurring momentarily. When it cleared, she found herself staring into Raiz's concerned gaze. His normally vibrant green hues were muted, replaced by an unnatural pallor that hinted at a deeper illness.

"Raiz," she whispered, her voice hoarse. "What happened?"

Raiz's expression was a mix of pain and determination. "We were ambushed," he rasped. "The poison...it's spreading."

Aurora's heart pounded in her chest. She remembered the venomous fangs that had pierced her skin, the lingering numbness that had followed. "I'm fine," she insisted, trying to sound stronger than she felt. "We'll find a healer."

Raiz shook his head, his movements slow and labored. "It's too late for me. The poison has taken hold. But you...you must escape."

Aurora refused to believe him. "No, we'll find a way to heal both of us."

Raiz's eyes held a sad resignation. "I've already sent a message to Clauster. They'll come for you. But I...I won't make it."

Aurora's throat tightened with emotion. She reached out to touch his hand, but it was cold and clammy. "Don't say that. We'll find a way."

Raiz squeezed her hand weakly. "Promise me you'll survive. For the hive. For me."

Aurora nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "I promise."

As Raiz's grip loosened, Aurora realized that she was alone. The cave was dark and silent, save for the soft rustling of leaves outside. She knew she had to move quickly, but her body felt heavy and weak.

With a heavy heart, Aurora dragged herself to her feet. She glanced back at Raiz, his form slumped against the wall. The poison was taking its toll, his breathing shallow and labored.

"Goodbye, Raiz," she murmured, her voice filled with sorrow. "I'll never forget you."

Aurora stumbled out of the cave, the forest surrounding her a blur of green and brown. She knew she had to reach Clauster as quickly as possible, but her legs felt like lead. The poison was starting to affect her as well, a dull ache spreading through her body.

As she pushed on, Aurora realized that she was being followed. She could hear the faint rustling of leaves behind her, the sound of something moving through the undergrowth. She quickened her pace, but it was no use. Whatever was following her was gaining on her.

Finally, she turned to face her pursuer. It was a large, venomous snake, its eyes glinting with malice. The same snake that had attacked her and Raiz.

Aurora drew her sword, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she was no match for the snake, but she had no choice. She had to fight.

The snake lunged, its fangs bared. Aurora dodged the attack, her pincer slicing through the air. The snake hissed and coiled, preparing for another strike.

The battle was fierce and brutal. Aurora fought with all her might, but the snake was relentless. Its venom was starting to take effect, her vision blurring and her movements slowing.

Just when she thought she couldn't go on, Aurora felt a surge of strength. She remembered Raiz's words, his plea for her to survive. She couldn't let him down.

With a final burst of energy, Aurora lunged at the snake. Her pincer connected with its head, driving it deep into the creature's skull. The snake writhed once, then lay still.

Aurora collapsed to the ground, exhausted and bleeding. She was barely conscious when she heard a rustling in the bushes. A figure emerged from the shadows, their face obscured by the darkness.

"Aurora?" a voice called out.

Aurora's eyes fluttered open. She saw a familiar face, a bee with bright green wings and a gentle smile. It was a healer from Clauster.

"You're safe now," the healer said, helping Aurora to her feet. "We've been searching for you."

Aurora nodded, her vision still blurry. She was grateful to be rescued, but a deep sadness washed over her. Raiz was gone, and she would never see him again.

As the healer carried her away, Aurora looked back at the spot where she had fought the snake. She could still see the faint outline of Raiz's body, lying motionless in the cave. A tear rolled down her cheek.

She would never forget Raiz, her brave and loyal friend. And she would always remember his final words: "Promise me you'll survive."

Just as she was contemplating her decision. She hear a voice a voice. " Why you crying , did somebody die"

Aurora was sure she was losing her mind, she was hearing a familiar sound but she still turned with little hope. The bee she thought she would never see was smiling at her.

"Raiz , is this what humans call ghost"

"Hahaha ,don't just kill me of yet . Am alive and kicking. As unexpected as it was . I had gained something from this. A blessing in disguise if you will. And I did see the always calm cry like baby"

Aurora immediately started blushing " Stop teasing me, I was really worried"

Alia looked at Reiz. This guy had sent her a mana message . Literally made words out of mana and sended her. How did he even come up with it the healer had no no idea.

" Stop flirting infront of me. I understand, you young bees are full of vigor but continue flirting when we are back home and safe"

Aurora's confusion turned to wonder. "How did you survive? The poison..."

Raiz smiled. "The poison...it was a blessing in disguise."

Aurora's eyebrows furrowed. "A blessing?"

Raiz nodded. "The venom was so potent, it triggered a dormant ability within me. It forced my body to adapt, to evolve. I've never felt stronger or more alive."

Aurora's eyes widened in amazement. "So, the poison actually healed you?"

Raiz chuckled. "In a way. It was a painful process, but it was worth it. I feel like i gained sometbing like posion immune ."

Aurora reached out and touched his hand. It was warm and firm, a stark contrast to the cold, clammy feel it had had before.

"You're incredible," she whispered.

Raiz squeezed her hand. "And you're the bravest bee I know. You fought so hard, even when you were weakened by the poison."

Aurora blushed. "I was just trying to survive."

"And you did," Raiz replied. "You're a true hero."

Alia once again looked at them. The bees in their own little world " At this point, just a get a honey room"

" Let them be Alia, they are like us . What a sweet time. " He gave thumps up the Raiz. Which Raiz could only shake his head.

Brav also came with Ali. There's noway he would've let Alia come alone but he would never have thought such honey was blooming in the middle of crisis. Indeed his advice for Raiz had paid of ( The advice part is delusional imagination from Brav)

Returning to clauster first was Brav with his brimming energy, followed by Alia. Everybody went their home and get sun rest as the sun was already setting.

The next day came too fast for Raiz as he still was sleeping through mid day. Something that doesn't happen much of then but this time he welcomed as he slept piecefully at his home. He was full alert in the forest and this piecefull time was much needed.

" Good to be home" He murmured before continuing his sleep comfortably
