Ch.49 Fuse

Ch.49 Fuse

Moon was struggling in infinity. No matter what he tried, there wasn't any improvement. From what he had heard, there should be something ....anything.

If not an element or a new power in him that he needed to bring out. Then exactly what does he have to tap in? Moon was sure there was something. He couldn't be the only one who couldn't advance, because he was cloud...RIGHT?He was just taking the first step in this path. The answer would be found, something he had to make sure of.

Others had developed a new power while they were at the ninth stage, and then they tapped at that new power to completely enter the Myr realm. New power? What if I made this new power on purpose? Would I still be able to advance?

Moon had all sorts of questions and ideas but didn't have answers. Since he had no answers and nobody he could ask. He could only try and see if it worked. The one idea that had any chance of helping him enter Myr realm, was making a whole new power.

Instead of this power being something dormant and naturally being with him. It would be something he would make. Moon didn't know what effect this would bring. He had only one path and that was to advance.

" As my ancestor clouds used to say. We move with the winds in hopes of finding our path. Advance clouds, for thou shall find your future" That is what they would have said.....probably. Given his new motivation from his non-existent ancestors, the cloud was once again focused and motivated.

Making a new power was something the young cloud had no prior information about. Moon didn't know if he needed some certain affinity towards an element. If this was so, how would one measure it? Moon was sure that somewhere in this world, there were some ways to measure people's talents for certain elements.

For Moon, no such convenient tool was lying around. Moon had no choice but to close that door at the moment. Wasn't there more something he had that could help him? Moon almost jumped when an idea hit him. Wasn't there a new energy he had been tapping into for a while now?

Moon tried to bring out Ki but he couldn't. His body only contained a mana and since he was in infinity, he couldn't absorb the ki in the air. He would have to first go outside, absorb Ki then come back to infinity to try again. Moon did exactly that but he had noticed something peculiar.

The more Ki was absorbed, the more mana would leak from his body.

If Moon absorbed 20% of Ki, his 100% mana wouldn't stay 100% but it would become 80%. The 20% would leak from his body into the air. His body wasn't capable of making both Ki and mana full at the same time. If Moon did nothing but absorb a Ki a whole day, he could only absorb 5 %. Remember, Moons 100% did make a whole legendary city. His capacity was outrageously huge. His body would automatically just absorb mana from the air if it wasn't at its full capacity. On the other hand, Ki was something he had to absorb on purpose.

He only needed to absorb 1% of Ki. After hours, Moon was back in the infinity. He could try again, he put his Ki in the centre and tried to move around but nothing happened. No matter how looked, there was no indication that he was doing something right.

After flipping and moving Ki around his body, nothing seemed to be working. Another setback? he had no choice but to start again from the beginning. Ki wasn't something he could use to advance into Myr realm.

"I have Mana and Ki but each of them are useless to me. Wait..if I can't make something out of ki or mana. What if I had fused them"

If the people outside the forest heard of Moon's thoughts. They would strangle the cloud for his idiocy. Merging different energies, he had a better chance of surviving in the sun. Moon went outside to absorb more Ki. He wanted to make his mana and Ki balanced,50% each. Even 50% of moons mana, would be more than capable enough of laying cities like Tartiiib, 10 times over to the ground.

This news would make people think Moon wanted to commit suicide and blow up every close city along with the forest. Fortunately, the cloud was too busy to share his plans with the world.

Thankfully Moon didn't need to eat or sleep, he gathered enough Ki on his tenth day. Now he was once again in infinity, His body full of energies, one half a violent yellow energy swirled around. The other side was enormous and calm as a blue sea.

Moon looked at both energies that were already rejecting each other. Moon was having a headache at his plan already. Since he couldn't mix right away. He decided to let 5% of mana and Ki out. Then pushed his mana and ki to the sides, forming an empty spot in the middle. Then took a small amount of mana and ki, and put them in the middle. He started mixing them, swirling clockwise.

The energies didn't mix, so Moon decided to spiral even harder. The two energies stretched more as the speed increased and finally started to fuse. Moon saw this scene, he was jumping ( floating up and down) in his excitement. There was finally a breakthrough. He slowly added more energy and it got bigger and bigger. The bigger the energy in the centre, the harder it was to control. Moon didn't know how much time had passed. He just kept adding more and more as the time went by. Moon didn't know why but he was sure something bad would happen if he let his focus go.

Moon trusted this newfound instinct and acted as carefully as he could. He never felt his life was in danger as he did now. As Moon was slowly but surely grinding his way towards Myr realm, outside infinity. Someone had finally returned to Claustar.

A week ago-----

Raiz who was with Aurora as his partner, were adventuring through the middle. Both of them didn't take more than just a day to get through the entrance of the middle. This was something they both couldn't do last time. Their strength was growing stronger with every day, now they were ready to go deeper. They couldn't speed anymore as the monsters were getting stronger. The deeper into the forest the more injured they were receiving.

They had completely forgotten they had a turn to guard Claustar and made a run for Claustar. Thankfully with their speed, they weren't late. They sat down and waited for the next ones to come.

While they were waiting, they could finally heal their injuries without being worried about a monster nearby. They slowly bid their time as their bodies slowly rid of any injuries and fatigue they had. Their time went by peacefully and before long their turn was over.

Raiz and Aurora headed back to the middle but this time their speed was visibly slower than when they flew to Claustar. They flew deeper but since both of them were caution type, they had turned to cave for the night. The beasts that came out the night were more difficult to handle. It was better to sit out a few nights out.

Just as they planned, they played a few nights without trying to fight beasts at night. It was finally the night they were going to try to fight. Over the days, their combination and their teamwork had improved considerably.

Both of them had an innate talent for flying and weren't going to wait on the ground to be ambushed. Their wings were still making noises even in their humanoid form, they had no choice but to wait in the tree branches. The tree's branches were thick enough for their weight.

The wait had started, now they had to be silent and wait for their pray to come. After an hour, a huge snake entered their vision. The snake was in Myr's realm but in the initial stages. Something Aurora and Raiz could take the head. Looking at the big snake slithering towards them, it had spotted them,

The snake was looking for a meal and two of them were exactly that. The snake opened its mouth as wide as it could. Raiz and Aurora weren't worried as there was still a distance to them. The snake shot its two sharp fangs towards the bees. Aurora and Raiz had more than enough speed to dodge the fangs.

When Aurora looked at the snake, she could see a smug. Not something she expected to see, especially since they had dodged its attack. Aurora had an eerie feeling and as to confirm her feeling, she heard something behind her. Before she could completely turn around, she was hit with something. Just as she was passing out, she could see a long sharp fang stapping Raiz's back.
