The figure that came into the sight was none other than the shadow figure."Hello, I believe this is our first meeting.I have something very important to say concerning our future." The figure started speaking.
Unfortunately for the figure, there was someone who was currently in rage, as the sounds of wings flapping approached him. Being punched by Aurora's full-powered punch was painful for the figure. As blood dripped to the floor, he collapsed on his knees. He said with desperation and madness in his eyes. "Every living monster or human in this forest will die without even knowing how.....Please let me help."
Hearing this, Aurora couldn't help but to stop. To her, the safety of everyone was more important than vengeance. She inhaled deeply and lowered her hand. Moon was nodding with his whole cloud body, while Raiz had more respect for Aurora. Moon called over Val. The one who probably knew something about interrogation, was the former head of Thundersons.
"Clan leader, how do you want to interrogate the criminal?" "Should we cut his right hand and cook it right in front of him?"
Moon looked at Val, whom he had always thought was nice. He looked into his eyes and knew he was serious. Val was a terrifying man to his enemies, while he was only good to his close ones.
Before Moon could answer, the figure got up and said, "You don't have to do that." "I will cooperate willingly."
"Trust you, the same guy, who was just attempting to kill us.Would you trust someone like that?" Val fired back.
"That's not me, think of that clone, as a completely different person. To put it simply, I gained consciousness while he was just a copy"
Everyone looked at the figure like he was the most terrible liar on the planet. Someone said in the crowd, "Should we just finish him and get on with our training?" The figure watched as the situation got worse and worse.
He took a scroll out and showed it to everyone. Before anyone thought he was going to attack with the scroll. He announced the use of the scroll, which contained truth serum. It would make one give an honest thought, as it's name implied.
"The scroll will only show the person's honest opinion; it doesn't mean the answer is really correct. If someone truly believed the sun was a tennis ball. The truth will come as a tennis ball" Val, who already knew the flaws of the scroll said sarcastically, "If someone hypnotized you or somehow tampered with your mind, then the scroll is completely useless."
The figure held another scroll, but he looked in pain when he stared at it. He started explaining." This scroll was dubbed as "pure" because it nullifies any hypnoses or other tampering with the mind. After using this. The user has a completely clear mind."
This was a very rare scroll. Normally, one wouldn't use it easily. It was life-saving, especially for the clone figure, but he had no choice but to use it here or risk losing his life.
Everyone looked at the two miraculous scrolls perfectly covering each other's weaknesses. It seems the shadow figure came truly prepared this time.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
" You couldn't possibly have known the result of orcs losing, how do you have the scrolls with you now" Raiz had a doubt about this perfect scenario for the shadow figure.
The shadow figure looked at the only humanoid monster. Looking at those terrifying red eyes made him uncomfortable " This was a stroke of a luck from my side. I took the scroll thinking of faking my death and disappearing along with the scrolls"
" It doesn't matter if you are telling lie or the truth now. We will know in a minute" Raiz replied without thinking any further.
Seeing as everyone was ready, the shadow figure finally took off his shadow cloak. Finally seeing what was under. It was middle age man, with black hair down to his legs. The most surprising was his starved body. It was odd seeing him starve to this point, considering he was leading two thousand orcs.
The shadow figure gave weak smile" We clones are not considered humans. The original barely keept us alive. From that moment, I knew we would get disposed at some point. It was better to run"
The reaction the shadow figure was expecting was some sympathy from the human side. Then the burly Brav suddenly started crying
" Poor skeleton, he had not seen one love from the moment he was born. He was just being used like a brush that sweeps left and right" Brav started crying and yelling. Almost making it hard to recognize what he was saying.
The figure couldn't help but look at the monster, that was crying for a total stranger. The words the bee said felt more like an insult, especially getting named to a weird name like a skeleton. Was he trying to curse or comfort?
Everyone else couldn't help but laugh at the burly bee getting emotional...once again. The Thundersons who had a rough time felt sympathy for the "skeleton".
Val took the lead. He sat down the shadow figure and told him to hold the two scrolls on each side. Truth scroll to the right and pure to the left.
First, the mind had to be clear. Val burned pure and after it was completely burned down. A blue light came from the scroll and went into the "skeleton's " forehead.
The other scroll was burned and now he was ready to be questioned. Val looked at the shadow figure. He then pointed two fingers and told to him to say they were three." How many fingers i am holding you?"
The shadow figure obviously saw the two fingers that were right in his face, then proceeded to say three. The moment he said that, a pain assaulted him from all over his body. He barely could say two before the pain subsided. Finally, he breathed out,as he was relieved from the pain.
Everyone at the present couldn't help but sweat at the powers of the scrolls. This was the perfect torture method for getting the answers. Whoever made them, was a mad scientist obsessed with the truth.
Seeing as it worked like it was supposed to. Val proceeded to question the real questions. Starting with his name that was Reinvinetow Iijenozuoki Nxuroiz Venuoes. Seeing how long the name was, Brav shamelessly decided to name him Skele which originated from the skeleton.
Val who also didn't feel like memorizing the name, decided to agree with the name. And so once again a poor soul lost its name, completely on a whim. Val ignored the pained look Skele had and continued to ask questions.
"Are you really a clone with its own consciousness "
"Yes"
"Do you intend to stay with the original host side"
"No. It will lead to my death"
" Why are you the only one with a conscience "
"I don't know. I believe I met certain requirements"
"How strong is your original host"
" At least three stronger than me"
Vall asked every question he could think of and Skele of course ,answered truthfully. This led to Skele being clear of any misunderstanding. After Val was done with his questioning,he gave Skele back his cloak. Seeing his malnourished body to this degree, was enough to know how much he was mistreated.
Seeing as everything was finally over, everyone started to return to Claustar. Raiz who looked at the bodies, couldn't help but frown. After all, this was their front yard and having two thousand dead bodies rotting around ,wasn't the best feeling.
Since he had to disregard them, he could use them as a practice dolls. He really wanted to see what he could do with his power. What perfect timing they had come. Under Raiz's request, everyone started gathering all the corpses and piled them up. The stacked bodies almost made a little tower.
Moon wanted to continue his training but felt like something was going to happen and decided to continue watching. Everyone looked at Raiz, who was flying high in the sky and was muttering something to himself.
Instead of using his mana, which wasn't a lot in his current stage. He wanted to try to use ki that was constantly flowing in the air. Unlike Mana, Ki was more yellow than blue. He honestly didn't know how to use Ki and so he began trying different things.
Unexpectedly his first try of just imagining the Ki energy flowing through his body worked. It was working so smoothly that he uttered" That was an unexpected but meaningful gain". Everyone on the ground could just see him muttering something to himself ...again.Was he truly alright??
Moon who was the only one who was able to see what was Raiz truly doing, was truly impressed. He came next to him and observed.Raiz directed Ki to go through his body. Neither Moon nor Raiz knew how hard this process was.
