,,Then, you take this and put it on top of that and then this over those and then….” Was the first thing I heard.
,,Okay.”
I opened my eyes and found myself in a very ugly room. No seriously, it was as ugly as Midari’s pancakes when she burned them.
In front of me was Betty. Wearing a grey turtleneck and jeans, she looked very out of picture. In front of her, stirring something in a pot was Mily. Only she didn’t look like Mily.
With her hair braided and none of her eyes covered, she looked very normal. She was smiling while stirring.
Wiping sweat off her forehead, she announced:
,,Done! How’s it look?”
Mily was very excited to finish whatever she was brewing. Betty glanced inside the pot and let out a pleased hum.
,,You’re advancing” she proudly said ,,I suppose you can take a break from potions for the time being and focus more on spells.”
Mily’s eyes widened and then she placed her hands on her hips, very proud of herself.
,,I’ll stop by tomorrow to help with the baby” Mily then waved and exited through the door. I wanted to stay a bit more, but decided to follow her.
But before I could run after the witch, I stopped. I turned around and saw Betty cradling a small child. The baby itself was very cute, and this is a surprising comment coming from me, because I generally dislike small children (Yes, I am very aware of the fact that I was a child once).
I assumed that that was hers and Edgar’s child. Which…Edgar…never…mentioned…about.
I then realized where I was: in some sort of illusion spell made my Betty, in which the past events could be seen.
I thought it was quite impressive but then decided not to waste anymore time but to try and find Mily in the illusionary realm.
Sadly, teleportation did not work in the illusion and that displeased me quite a bit. Mental note to self: Complain to Betty about it.
Illusion Betty & baby were living in a tower. Though last time I checked (never) there weren’t any towers in Salem. Especially not in year-I-don’t-remember.
I quickly followed Mily. She undid her braid and arranged her hair on the way down. She left the tower, walking fast through the muddy streets of Salem.

Mily soon entered a house that was bigger than the rest and didn’t look as dead and colorless. I followed behind her.
,,Where were you again?” a stern voice said out of the blue. Mily frowned and answered:
,,To Wendy’s”
Around the corner stood a woman, dressed in a black dress. Her hair was put up and her hands were folded over her chest,
,,As a lady I expect you not to associate with low ranked like her family.”
,,Yes mother.”
,,Now, Erika has been waiting for you. I expect you to do your lessons.”
,,Yes, mother.”
Yeah, go get her Mily!
Her mom scoffed and Mily walked past her into another room.
Inside, Erika was reading a book. She wasn’t wearing her usual pastel pink dress and her hair was braided. This Erika looked like herself but less expresso more depresso.
,,Finally decided to show up?” she said, still reading her book (it didn’t even look that interesting).
,,As you can clearly see, yes.” Mily replied. She didn’t seem one bit excited about her lesson.
,,Very well” Erika said. Mily took a seat and Erika started lecturing her on some random subject. I took a seat in the chair opposite from Mily.
Her chin was propped on her arm and she looked incredibly bored. Much so that she fell asleep at some point.
Erika smacked her head lightly and Mily woke up, not pleased.
,,Listen, Erika…”
,,Miss Erika.”
,,My lovely 20 year old unmarried LADY Erika” Mily sarcastically repeated.
,,What do you want?”
Mily turned her head to face her.
,,I want a break.”
,,When I gave you one two hours ago you disappeared. Are you sure you’re going to Wendy’s house?”
,,Positive.”
,,But you dislike her.”
,,I would rather hang out with her and Kevin than you, thank you very much.”
Erika frowned at Mily’s comment.
,,You are expected to know all this” Erika told her ,,How are you going to learn if you don’t even show up for lessons?”
,,What if I don’t want to learn that?”
,,Too bad” Erika slammed a book on the table, making Mily flinch ,,You have to. And I have to get my money.”
Mily opened the book at a random page. Then the scene changed.
The next scene was happening the same day but in the evening. Mily was walking through the streets of Salem. She eventually stopped, then she turned left. The alley led to a place filled with trees.
A blonde (her hair looked much lighter as a ghost, not blonde, but white) Wendy was sitting on the ground, staring at the sky. Next to her Kevin was drawing something in the mud with a random stick.
When Mily approached they both looked at her and then stood up to leave. They ran away as soon as possible.
Then, from behind a tree random-dude-that-turned-into-a-wolf appeared. His hair was different and he looked skinnier, but he was still the same guy.
Mily took something out of her pocket (her dress has pockets?) and she threw it at him.
The boy quickly caught it and swallowed it.
,,Thanks” he said.
Mily laughed ,,That’s what friends are for.”
,,Are they now?”
The scene changed again. This time, Mily looked older.
She was in the middle of a room full of people. Her hands were tied and she was eyeing a man. Behind her stood her mother.
,,Do you, Mily Carlisle, admit that you are a witch?”
,,WHOAA” said the wolf-boy as he entered the room, before Mily could respond (also, that’s her family name?).
He then presented arguments which were supposed to help Mily and they did work. But he had to enter and ruin everything.
The scene changed again as everything suddenly became blurrier and blurrier. The last thing I saw was that scene with Mily burning in the middle of the town square. The last thing I heard were her screams as the wolf-boy, whose name was Edward, was trying to reach her.
