That morning I woke up as usual. Then I went downstairs to get something to eat.
,,GOOD MORNING EVERYONE, HAVE A SEAT,I COOKED SOMETHING!”
Mily gave me a worried look, as Midari gave us some weird liquid.
,,You…cooked this?” I asked.
,,Sure,taste it!” Midari moved my glass closer.
,,Haha, I think I’ll pass” Saki said and stood up.
,, DON’T YOU DARE! SIT DOWN. COME ONE GUYS IT’S GOOD!”
Miy decided to be the first one to die again. Erika was so lucky for not showing up right now. Edgar gulped from the other side of the table.
Mily look the glass, made a weird face and took a sip. Then she looked at the glass for a couple of seconds before drinking everything.
Saki’s jaw dropped but he also tried it, and had the same reaction as Mily.
Edgar gave me an encouraging look and I could feel Midari’s stare on me, waiting for me to drink everything up.
So I did. It tasted weird at first but then it started to get really sweet, like a cake or a cupcake. Because it tasted like food, I drank it.
,,So how was it?” Midari asked ,,what did it taste like?”
,,Lavacake”
,,Cherrys”
,,Cake”
,,And/Or cheesecake”
,,Mmm, now I know what everyone wanted to eat today” Midari then laughed.
,,What?” I asked.
,,Oh now I understand “ Saki said ,, it’s from that one potion book that was missing last week. The potion is supposed to taste like whatever the person wants to eat.”
,,Oh that book you were crying about. Midari, do hand it back or there will be consequences” Mily said . I wonder if Saki was really crying last week.
,, Alright, alright. I’ll hand it back” Midari promised.
,,And the other three you also stole” Mily said and frowned.
,,Oop, time to escape this dimension, see you guys” Midari then quickly ran to the door and dissappeared.
As soon as I finished eating (I couldn’t resist Mily’s pancakes) I went on a walk through the hallways of the school.
It looked dark as always and also pretty creepy, but who was I to talk? I recently discovered that the eyes of ghosts turn a different color whenever we’re angry. Also when we use our power a little too much.
I got a little frustrated because I still didn’t know what Mily’s power was. Midari had this weird electricity that Misaki also had. Erika…she’s a little different but she’s got telekinesis, which I find really cool. I also learned that companions have the same power as the ghost they serve and so, I couldn’t know Saki’s power, since it was the same as Mily’s. Lord was also a mystery to me, but I doubted anyone even knew anything about him. Thinking about it, there were so many things I didn’t know, or quite understand.
Still the most worrisome thought was Millie. There were only a few days left until school would start again, so I got kind of nervous. I took a paper out of my pocket were I had written my speech for Mily to do her magic again. On the lower side of the paper there was written what I would say to Millie, once I would see her again. And so I started practicing the two conversations.
,,Alright so” I began ,,hello Mily! I hope you had a great day like yourself! I was just…uhm…wondering if you could do your oh-so-great incantations again and make me visible for the same person. PRETTY PLEASE!”
I stood there looking proud of myself. Then, I heard a weird noise coming from the other side of the hallway, where the entrance was. Like someone was forcing the door. My first thought was that someone was trying to rob the school or something. The sound stopped for a few seconds but then the door forced open.
I ran to see who the robbed was only to see the person I least expected to see.
There stood Millie, panting. She threw something on the ground, but I couldn’t exactly see what. My sister was covered in bandages and she looked like she just ran out of a mental hospital or something like that.
Wasting no time, she ran past me, down the hallway. She looked a little scared. Then I noticed she had another thing in her hand. A rope?
,,LUNA IF YOU CAN HEAR ME” she shouted ,,PLEASE COME HERE. I’M READY TO BECOME A GHOST!”
I ran after her. The girl must have gone crazy, because as soon as she found a spot she started adjusting the rope. Then Millie went into a classroom, brought a chair and stepped on it.
,,I just hope you’re here Luna.I love you. I’m sorry” she then put the rope around her neck. I wonder why she seemed to be a professional at this.
Taking me by surprise again, she pushed the chair. My world started falling apart at that moment. But I had to act quick.
Millie was smart for coming here. I told her about catching her soul, and I’m glad she remembered. I don’t know where she had been, or what she had been doing, but somehow I’m glad that she didn’t forget about me.
A white glowy thing then caught my attention. That must have been a soul, just how Lord showed me in this one book he had (wow the kid actually reads!). Actually never mind the representation was wrong.
I quickly reacted and caught the orb in my hands. I didn’t wonder why it was trying to break free, since the process wasn’t natural. Now I just had to run with it to Lord.
,,HEY BATHROOM BOY YOU IN THERE?” I shouted after him as I arrived in the toilets.
,,Leave me alone, I’ve got important stuff to do” Lord said from inside a bathroom.
,,Yeah like what? I’ve got something for you.”
,,No thanks. Now go away.”
,,Just so you know I’m opening the dooooor!” I shouted, still he didn’t respond. Since I couldn’t open the door (no interaction with objects for me) I just passed trough.
Lord was sitting on the toilet lid with a pencil and a notebook. He looked kind of sad but the moment he saw me, he threw his notebook at me.
,,I told you not to enter!!” he yelled.

,,And I told you that I would enter anyway” thank God I didn’t drop Millie’s soul ,,why are you here? What are you writing?” I picked Lord’s notebook off the floor, but before I could have a look inside he snatched it from me.
,,If you don’t have anything important for me, then GET OUT” he yelled again.
,,Here, for you” I lifted my hand and showed him Millie’s soul ,,now do the thing you promised.”
,,…She actually killed herself?” Lord questioned.
,,Yes, her body’s in the school. Now, our agreement.”
,,Oh…yes…give that to me” Lord stretched his arm and I gave the orb to him.
,,Thanks, now run along. Tomorrow you’ll have your sister, but you’ll have to wait three days till she wakes up.” I did hesitate at first, but I chose to trust him.
,,Alright. Now, why are you here? You said you had a room.”
,,Of course I do. I’m the most important one here. I’m in the bathroom because my room is currently under cleaning. I’ve had quite some trouble with some kind of weird spell. I didn’t know how to deal with it so I called the cleaning team.”
,,Cleaning team?”
,,Oh you know” he stood up, and went through the bathroom door ,,Those two. Mily and Saki.”
,,And they’re doing what exactly?”
,,Well, at this time Mily is probably chanting incantations. Saki is probably on the floor from all the energy they used.”
,,Oh, great. Alright then Lordy, see you tomorrow morning. And thanks!”
As I left I could see him getting even sadder than he seemed in the bathroom. Still, I didn’t ask if anything was wrong, which I regret now.
Returning to my room, I had a little surprise.
,,LUNAAAAA THERE YOU AREEEE LOOK I’VE GOT SOMETHING FOR YOUUU!” Midari shouted and presented me a really good drawing of me and her.
,,Whoa!” I said ,,did you draw it? You never told me you liked this kind of things.”
,,Oh no! I do know how to draw but this was made by Misaki as a gift for me. He knows that you’re my best friend so….”
,,Whoa, thanks a lot, I’ll hang it here somewhere.”
,,Also, why is the dead body of the girl that looks like you in the school?”
,,Haha, long story short-“ then I proceeded to tell her everything, while going to the kitchen with her. The great part was her reaction to all of this.
,,Whoa you actually managed to talk to Lord, wow! OH AND I’M SO SORRY FOR YOUR SIS CAN I BE HER FRIEND WHEN SHE WAKES UP????”
,,Yes, sure, I think she’ll love you.”
,,REALLYY?” Midari enthusiastically said.
,,Sure, I don’t see why not. You’re great.”
,,Thank you!” Midari said and gave me a hug. Isn’t she adorable?
We arrived in the kitchen where the first thing we saw were Mily and Saki who looked like they’ve been through hell.
,,You guys ok?” Midari asked while going to the fridge, opening it and getting a slice of cake.
Saki lifted his head.
,,No” he announced and smashed his head back on the table.
,,I’m going to die all over agaaain” Mily said and lifted her arm and then slamed her arm on the table too.
,,You guys have been doing all those incantations for Lord, right?”
,,His name is Lord?? Sorry doesn’t ring a bell” Saki sarcastically said.
,,Bathroom guy that writes stuff while sitting alone inside a bathroom. Anyway, what did you have to deal with?”
,,Lots and lots of broken vases-“ Mily said but then stopped.
,,And lots and lots of suffering.”
,,And lots and lots of broken stuff.”
,,And lots and lots of papers.”
,,And lots and lots of-“
,,Ok, ok you can stop now” I said.
,,The point is, we’re really tired. I can’t do this anymore” Mily said.
,,The point also is, that I’m never doing this again.”
,,Get to the ACTUAL point. What were you doing?” Midari asked and then literally stabbed the cake with a fork.
,,Lord said that they were helping with some spells” I told Midari.
,,I didn’t do-“ Saki tried to say.
,,Yes,yes, we did some spells” Mily interrupted him. Saki frowned.
,,Anyway, what’s that corpse doing in our school?” Mily asked in a serious tone just as Edgar stepped in. Poor Edgar spilled his drink when he heard that.
,,Luna what did you do, why is there a corpse in our school and who’s corpse is it?” Edgar franticly asked.
,,Whoa, first of all how dare you assume that every bad thing that happens has to do with either me or Midari? Second of all, yes it was me. It’s Millie’s corpse.”
Edgar closed his eyes and then suddenly collapsed. It looked like he fainted (how can ghosts even faint?).
,,Oh look at what you did, now we have to wake him up” Mily said and Saki let out a sigh.
Just then Erika stepped into the room looking all worried. In her rush she didn’t notice Edgar’s unconscious body and tripped, falling face down on the floor.
,,WHO LEFT EDGAR ON THE FLOOR?!” Erika screamed at us, while getting up.
Mily and Saki shared a glare and then they both pointed at me. Erika then proceeded to scold me.
,,WHY DID YOU LEAVE THIS…THIS THING” she pointed at Edgar ,,ON THE FLOOR? AND I KNOW FOR SURE YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE DEAD BODY OF THE GIRL THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE YOU!!”
,,Whoa, easy Erika. The poor girl’s sis just died” Midari said.
Edgar was slowly starting to gain consciousness. Sadly for him, Lord decided to enter, while slamming the door open. Instead of looking on what he’s stepping, Lord simply kicked Edgar (without meaning it though), which had a strong impact on Edgar.
,,Mily where is notebook #2??” Lord asked as he took a seat.
,,I put it in your desk, where you initially had it.”
,,Just a moment!!” Midari said ,, How did you know where he has it? Since I know that you never enter his room.”
,,You don’t know me that well Midari.”
,,BUT it’s not there. I’ve been looking everywhere for it!”
,,Look again, it might appear.”
,,Can we have a nice dinner for once?” Midari sighed. After we woke Edgar up, we took a seat.
Mily served food and everyone ate quietly. Except for Lord, who would remember random stuff and ask Mily, who was clearly tired of him.
In the end, everyone went to their rooms. I played some board game with Midari, and after that I went to my own room.
Edgar was waiting for me at my desk.
,,So, you did it. Millie’s dead.”
,,Yes, and I handed her soul to Lord.”
,,Yes and how can you be so chill about this?”
,,Why do you care? Honestly, you’ve been very suspicious. Damn, you even fainted today, what’s wrong with you?”
,,With ME? You made Millie kill herself!”
,,AND WHY DO YOU CARE?”
,,BECAUSE I’M YOUR-“ Edgar stopped here.
,,Ok I understand everything you say. Now stop scolding me. You know what? Get out of my room!”
,,No.”
,,Excuse you?! I SAID: GET OUT” Edgar stood silent for a moment, then turned around and left. He also slammed the door in the process.
WHY CAN’T EVERYONE JUST MIND THEIR OWN BUISNESS?! THIS IS BETWEEN ME, MILLIE AND I HATE TO ADMIT BUT ALSO LORD.
I did feel bad about shouting at Edgar, but I didn’t go after him. I knew that he was hiding something, but now that I look back, I was wrong for being mean.
Lord was hiding something as well. I don’t know why he was upset today, but I intended to find out.
I fell asleep before I knew it, had some distorted dreams and got woken up by a knock on the door.
,,Enter already stop knocking!” I said, standing up.
,,Good morning, your part of the deal is half ready and waiting for you in the room next to you!” Lord said. He looked happier today.
,,Ok,goodbye.”
,,OH no, you’re coming with me” he said snapped his fingers and teleported us to the room next to mine. My only thought was how he could do that. Teleportation is really tricky, let alone teleporting two people. And then comes this guy who could do all of this with just a finger snap. Talk about being overpowered.
,,Say good morning to Millie” Lord said and pointed at what looked like a coffin ,,I made it extra fancy for you!”
,,Oh shit, and you chose to put her in a coffin?”
,,I can change it-“
,,Alright stop it with being overpowered, it’s ok like this.”
,,…Rude.”
I ignored him. In the coffin was Millie, who looked like she was asleep.
,,You made her look like she’s in her funeral coffin. YOU ALSO PUT A LOT OF FLOWERS, WHERE DID YOU GET THEM?”
,,I had Mily do me favors.”
,,Lovely. And she’ll wake up in three days for sure?”
,,Based on my calculations-“
,,You know how to do math?”
,,You guys think I’m stupid, but I’m not.”
,,But you are, even Millie here agrees.”
,,That’s it, the deal’s off-“
,,NOOOOOOOOO.”
,,OH YES.”
,,LORD NO! STOP IT!”
,,Mhm, alright. I was just messing with you anyway. I kind of want to meet Millie. For real this time.”

Lord was interrupted by Edgar, who entered. He didn’t look at me, said hi to Lord and looked at Millie. I left after some time to get breakfast. Now I just had to wait three days until Millie would wake up. And then we would have had so much fun together! I wondered what happened to her. Killing herself out of a sudden like that. She broke into the school and where did she even get the rope from. AND WHY was she covered in bandages? Her broken hand or whatever should have been healed by then.
,,Good morning Luna” Mily said.
,,Aren’t you talkative today? Good morning Mily.”
,,So how’s the corpse doing?” Saki asked while cutting a slice of bread.
,,In great shape, thanks for your concern.”
,,Wasn’t asking for myself though” Saki replied ,,There you go” he then placed the bread slice on Mily’s plate.
,,GOOD MORNING! I’M HUNGRY!” Midari announced as she entered the room.
,,ME TOO!” Lord entered. Everyone except me frowned at him. Lord’s smile faded and he quietly sat down.
,,Oh cheer up” Mily told him ,,it isn’t that bad.”
,,What do you even know?”
,,I’m sorry that Mily’s not the best at cheering up people. Me neither, so I’ll just declare this conversation finished” Saki said then added ,,butter?”
,,Sure” Mily then took the butter Saki handed her.
For the next two days I did everything possible to find out where Millie had been before she walked in, looking ready to destroy the school( she did kind of destroy the school though, poor door).
The second thing I tried to find out, even though it wasn’t my priority, was about why Lord was acting like a depressed teenager. I even tried breaking into his room. No luck though, his door was always closed and somehow I couldn’t pass through it.
And then the day finally arrived!
