Tenzin felt disrespected to the highest degree when he found out this was just a training exercise for them. Along with the fact he wasn’t being taken seriously. Tenzin felt a mild threat from Damien, but he could not feel anything from Aya. Sometimes not knowing or feeling anything was much scarier than the opposite. He was ready to teach the runt that was Damien a lesson to make others understand this wasn’t some sort of playground. Tenzin reached a new level of tension, but that was all broken away when Frey hysterically laughed at what was going on. It took a minute for her to control herself and address them.
“Sorry, sorry. This is just too hilarious to just let slide by! I’ve never met such interesting folk before. Tenzin here was starting to bore me quite awfully actually. But I knew at some point something interesting would happen and here you all are!”
Tenzin saw Frey’s face light up in a way he had never seen. Slowly, she was showing her true nature and how she had never even cared about him nor anything. He felt played and duped, but before he could make his complaints known, Frey just gave him a pat on his back as if it were a farewell.
“Now don’t be sad, Tenzin. You just weren’t strong enough to keep me entertained and most of the time no one came by here. Don’t worry you will make up for all of my time wasted with this show you will bring us with that fellow over there! I’m going to go spectate this match with my new friend and no matter the outcome, this will be the last time you see me. Good luck!”
Frey skipped away, signifying the end of her tenure with Tenzin. She passed by Damien and landed by Aya’s side. Without a word said they mutually flew together so that they could spectate without interfering. Damien watched them leave as the reality struck him. He had an angry Demon boss who was ready to spit fire from his eyes. All Damien could do was shrug his shoulders awkwardly.
“Let’s give them a good show….uh I already forgot your name.”
Tenzin replied with words that could cut steel.
“It. Is. Tenzin. What is the name of the man foolish enough to treat me like training?”
“Oh right! I’m Damien, but just to clarify the other part. This wasn’t my idea to come here. Actually I was on my way to Meteor Volcano you see and I was kind of abducted on the way there. Now I was forced to come here and…”
“ENOUGH! I do not care for your excuses. Take off your mask and fight me head on!”
Damien looked up into the sky for Aya’s approval, who agreed to the notion. There was no one around that would ever see him again and she was there for any hiccups. Damien removed his mask, finally revealing his white messy hair that could not be contained. Along came out his youthfulness which stunned both Tenzin and Frey. They expected his short stature to come from his species, not because he was still a young boy. While he was still wrapping his head about his age, Damien drew out his sword and prepared himself. Tenzin saw this action and immediately changed his mood. No matter the age, anyone who threatened him would be treated the same.
Above where Aya and Frey were staying, they had pulled out a whole tea set and chairs that floated with them. They enjoyed themselves with a cup of tea and the fight that was about to commence. They were on mutual terms so there was no sign of discourse between them. During this time, Frey noticed that Damien was just a young boy, which in turn made her lick her lips in delight. She smiled with her fangs prominently poking through.

“Give him a little more time to mature and his blood will surely be delicious. That is a true gourmet meal in the making! Don’t you believe so?”
Aya looked at Frey with disgust reeking from her face. If Frey were able to see her face she would have surely been offended. Aya quickly shut down any motion she was attempting anything with what Frey had in mind.
“He is not meant for that. He is more of a side project. Does your kind only think about drinking blood and staying young? Quite narcissistic is it not?”
A light tension built up between them as the winds blew by them. However, not a single move was made, just a cold silence, which Frey soon broke.
“Narcissistic? Please, what is the point of life if you don’t live it the way you want it. Besides, I can smell that you are just like me. You have innumerable amounts of blood on your hands. Is it not delicious? The viscosity, the color that deepens the flavor, oh god just thinking about it is exciting me! That’s why I keep spare vials of them.”
Frey took out a set of vials that were filled with blood of the highest order. The color was as deep as Aya’s hair. She followed it up by placing a drop in her tea and chugging down the rest of it. Frey offered her a vial out of generosity, but Aya moved her hand away from her in reproach.
“That is not a luxury nor a leisure for me. In fact, I am nothing like you so let us just enjoy this fight before this chat turns sour.”
Frey was not entirely convinced by her but she decided to let it go for the festivities. She took one quick glance at her mask along with the blood red hair Aya adorned and thought to herself that she was just an outlier. She thought Aya was someone not born with her ideals, instead of believing in the possibility she was a Combat God. The legend of that race had long died down to almost that of a fairytale. If Frey knew who she was really dealing with, she would have prostrated herself to the ground and happily be used as a footstool as well.
Down back with Damien, they both were channeling their mana and focusing their spirit for the fight to come. Although Damien was second guessing himself, he had no choice to continue with the flow. He couldn’t help but think how he could’ve been doing something entirely different if it weren’t for Aya.
‘Lose the thoughts Damien. Lose yourself into the flow for now.’
Damien made his mind go blank so he could just react to the 6-Armed Demon, Tenzin, in front of him. Damien expanded out his Dao Domain, marking out his territory where he felt somewhat safe. In turn, Tenzin reacted by putting a rein on his free flowing, torrential aura and brought it back into his body. He turned himself into a sharpened blade that could cut through anything beneath the heavens. Seeing that Damien was not going to make the first move, Tenzin chucked to himself as he vanished from his position. He reappeared in the air above Damien and came smashing down with his fists.
‘He’s fast, but I can estimate where he is going to be especially with the help of my Domain!’
Damien waited for him to reach his range and be affected by the heat of the Dao Domain that would also be draining Tenzin’s energy. Damien didn’t hold back with the combo of his sword, Thunder, and his own strength, however the first strike was nothing like he expected. He was not able to push Tenzin back, but was the one who took a step back. What followed after was a moment Damien would never forget. Tenzin followed his attack with another and another until Damien could no longer keep up. Due to Tenzin’s unique physique he would overwhelm all of his opponents and it didn’t stop here. Damien was hit multiple times in vital areas. He coughed up large amounts of blood as he was sent flying. There was nothing for his body to stop with except the hard floor that basically made him like a meteor impacting the planet. Damien eventually came to a stop with cuts covering his entire body. Blood was coming out of all of his visible orifices as he felt pain like never before in a battle. It was to the level where he clearly felt that his own strength was not enough to deal with Tenzin.
Tenzin gave Damien the time to recuperate and prepare himself once more. This was a ploy on Tenzin’s behalf so that Damien could sink into his feelings of helplessness. If he continued to press Damien, the psychological effect would be minimized. Tenzin’s plan worked out perfectly as Damien began to feel despair deep in his bones. Damien had nowhere to go and he had no plan on what to do next. Instead he resorted to a mentality of a coward, looking for a way out, when he should be fighting for his life with every ounce he could give.
‘Aya will save me if anything goes wrong, so why am I worrying?”
This was a mindset that put Damien on a path of misery for this bout.
