Eldira Flor was the first daughter born from the mighty Flor Family. She was treated as a princess and such was always being over protected. Once she heard the news of the Zyres Continent and the lack of threat that it posed to their levels of strength she was able to get permission to make the trip. The only stipulation they had was that the guardian be her personal guide. With a lot of money spent they were able to figure out a deal to have the other families agree and that was how Eldira and Veron first met.
Veron at this point was a ruthless guardian who struck down violations with an iron fists. He made examples of others which led him to be known to the people of the True World as the Sword Devil. Eldira on the other hand was as dainty as a flower with flowing blonde hair that reached down to her calves. She possessed great femininity along with a graceful and kind nature. Together they were like Yin and Yang, balancing each other out in the perfect manner to survive in a thing that is this cruel life.
From the moment they met each other they both deep down there was a connection between them that was more real than they had ever experienced. They wasted no time getting to know each other and eventually eloping in secret. For the first time in Veron’s life did he actually feel genuinely happy about something. No accomplishment nor milestone reached made him feel the way he did with Eldira. In no time they secretly eloped, tying the knot on the top of Mortal Mountain. There after a week of intimate moments did Eldira become pregnant. It was a moment of pure joy that lasted far too short.
In the True World, the Flor Family received confirmation that Eldira had lost her innocence. With a special technique they were able to keep track of it and it was because she was already betrothed to the first prince of the Mildred Family. Although Eldira’s parents wanted her to only be happy, the Flor Family was a fraction of what the Mildred Family amounted to. The arranged marriage was for the benefit of the Flor Family, but being the good parents they were, they presented themselves to the Mildred Lords and pleaded for forgiveness. They wished to nullify the marriage and offered compensation, however the face of the Mildred Family was on the line and it was a line they would not allow to be stepped over.
The Mildred lords slaughtered the parents and besieged their family home. The Flor Family was the subject of genocide and its affects rippled down to the ears of Eldira and Veron. They vowed to each other to protect one another but the power they were facing was far beyond their scope of control. They were captured and both tortured. Veron witnessed unspeakable acts done upon his wife, until they ended her life like she was livestock. Due to Veron being connected to the family he was let off with his life but they damaged his core. His strength would slowly wane over time and would never be able to cultivate again. He was left in the countryside of the Kingdom of Atria, where he would wander aimlessly. His mind was far too broken to comprehend anything he was doing and the injuries he received had long gone numb.
While in his daze he walked and walked until he found a small village. He collapsed before he could reach the entrance and accepted his fate. He no longer wished to be alive, so he lied there with the intention of never moving again. That night a snowstorm passed by, blanketing everything in deep snow. Veron accepted it thinking it was a burial straight from the heavens. It wasn’t until a carriage passed by and ran him over. The large bump caused a young couple to come out and check out what happened to their carriage. That was when Gadriel and Iri first met Veron.
They quickly took him and brought him to their villa. There they washed him up and put him in a new set of clothes. Veron would do nothing to help himself so they both took turns nursing him so that he stayed healthy. It took many months before he would start doing things for himself but he was still not communicative. However, Gadriel and Iri saw it as a step forward. Years passed by as Veron stayed in their villa as a guest. Everything came entirely from the goodness of their hearts and Veron felt at ease. His clone on the outside world was as now going by Veron Flor to remember his late wife and to renounce the Mildred Family.

A couple more years passed by and Veron accepted that fate had dealt him a severe blow but Eldira would not want him to stay in misery. She would want him to live his life for the both of them. When he made this final revelation, Gadriel and Iri came to talk to Veron as they always do. They brought news that Iri was pregnant and that night was the first time Veron spoke to them.
“Congratulations, what names have you chosen?”
Iri was shocked to see him come around but Gadriel perked up the moment he spoke.
“If it’s a boy, he will be named Damien, because he will be strong! And if it’s a girl… never mind that! I know for a fact it will be a boy!”
“A fine name indeed.”
Veron and Gadriel laughed together and it felt like they had always known each other. They shared the joyous moment together and that was when Veron stood up on his own.
“It is time for me to go. You have taken great care of me and showed me a beautiful relationship that demonstrated what could have been. For that, I thank you both. I will be back for the birth of your child and be the Godfather. Farewell.”
Veron dissolved with the air and disappeared from their home. He reappeared where they had found him all those years ago.
“This is where Veron Mildred died and the day Veron Flor came to be. Now I will live for the both of us, with you in my heart.”
For the next coming months Veron fused back with his clone to regain some energy. Then he searched for ways to stop his decline. Instead he found enlightenment but that only slowed his core from dissipating. He came to peace with his fate and on the day of the Solar Eclipse he went to go meet a newborn and his benefactors. That was when he arrived at the tragedy of the village being burnt away along with his benefactors and the miracle of seeing Damien alive. That was the day he enacted his duties as a Godfather and uncovered a terrible fate for the boy. The moment he felt the power from his eyes, everything connected in his mind. The Solar Eclipse was not caused by a natural phenomenon, but instead of a primordial beast that had been here since the dawn of time. They had obscure records of it in the True Word of primordial beasts the size of planets. They were known as Space Dreamers as their strength lied in their mind and how they infiltrated others, often appearing in their dreams.
It was a contradictory use of their gifts since their bodies were more than enough to collapse stars, but the secrets of the universe were too vast to understand. So Veron had no idea why a Space Dreamer would inhabit the body of a baby boy and how it planned to continue through Damien. Veron felt his hope seep away from his body, feeling that he would let another important figure in his life suffer. In spite of that, he found something very unusual with his core. It was fully formed the moment he was born and it seemed to have a consciousness of its own. Upon closer inspection he discovered that it had the will of his mother along with a reservoir of energy that was already being put to use to maintain the Space Dreamer that invaded Damien. The will had no concrete instructions, only the final wish of a mother to protect her child no matter the cost and that turned into what Veron was witnessing. It knew the danger that was inside Damien’s body from the moment it entered.
Even with Damien’s core helping to seal the primordial beast it was not enough. Veron noticed it right off the bat and gave him some of his limited Mana that he had. When he felt Damien become relieved of the inner struggle of his body, Veron received a special warmth in his body that bubbled up everywhere. The feeling one can only get when you acknowledge the responsibility of a parent.
“So this is what it would’ve been like if you were alive, Eldira.”
After that moment he took Damien with him and disappeared from the world. His sole purpose was now to train Damien and help him suppress the beast inside. That is why he never taught Damien anything about the Dao or Mana. If he were to get strong too quickly, it would in turn feed the Space Dreamer and enhance its capability to take over. Instead he trained his body so he could infease his capacity of Mana in the future and build a solid foundation. The longer the Space Dreamer was dormant, the weaker it would get as well. Just like that the time passed by as he raised Damien as he would a real son.
