Kidnapping is such a distasteful method of attempting to persuade someone to marry you.
I’m at a loss exactly how this fancy noble and his hired thugs think the situation will go in their favor.
Even with the fact that they’ve ambushed S’neli inside her laboratory, don’t they understand, that this only means she is armed.
I don’t know about anyone else, I wouldn’t attack an alchemist right next to a great many chemicals.
That just doesn’t seem like a very wise choice, especially for a man wanting to continue his blood linage.
Oh!
I take that back, apparently the noble brought a decent mage. A noble, a mage, a group of thugs, I feel like I’ve seen this situation somewhere before…
Wait!?
Why am I getting kidnapped too, dammit!

I haven’t offended anyone recently…
Hmm….
Well, anyone that matters…
Tsk, S’neli can’t do much when she’s frozen like an ice sculpture. Good thing she’s wearing that ring I made.
They left her with her all those valuable ingredients in her ring, ha, this can’t end well…
As we leave I see F’neli, his eyes flash with rage that is concealed behind an impassive mask.
So, this noble has enough pull that the caravan can’t go against them directly, eh?
That’s fine, this Tree will take care of problems, hisself.
The thugs carry S’neli and me to a mansion inside the port city. As we pass through a barely passable garden, they place us into a well-decorated room. Glancing around at the rich opulent surroundings the room practically screams at the lack of coherent fashion. If I didn’t know better I’d say more than one interior designer had tried to decorate it at varying periods of time.
As soon as the thugs leave the door makes a clicking noise before glowing purple briefly. I might not know everything there is about magic, however I’m pretty sure that’s some sort of pathetic magical lock.
Since my pot is placed behind the ice statue of S’neli, I clearly see the ice as it starts to fracture. A golden light begins to shine through the cracks, before the entire sheath of ice shatters.
S’neli is revealed with a golden light covering her like a second skin.
Hmph, I do good work on shielding. I added a few extras too from my understanding of things back on Earth. In emergency situations the Shield on the ring will auto-deploy much like airbags. Essentially there is no such thing as ‘ambushing’ S’neli unless the ring is destroyed first.
Watching her expression I see molten fury slowly melt away into an expression of icy calm.
Yeah…
These guys are all walking dead, now.
S’neli spends a few moments getting some equipment out of the ring before she starts crafting.
Minutes later there is a decent row of newly made potions. Waving her hand, S’neli places everything back into the chaos gold ring I made.
Picking me up in one hand, she turns towards the door with a bubbling, glowing, orange potion in hand.
This isn’t going to end well, heh. I've seen that potion before...
