Seedling 35

Seedling 35

Success is within reach now.

As much as I trust Dryad, I’m not sticking around to learn the flavor a Chaos Tree can have when eaten.

Due to the fact that my hover throne artifact is gone, I am forced by circumstances to another method of transportation.

The speed is rather…

Slow…

My roots inch along the ground pulling me further into the Green Lady’s Jungle Greenhouse.

Various things try to eat me during my escape, and subsequently are melted.

However, now, I am in a bit of a bind.

There’s a weird fluctuation in space in front of me.

It almost looks like a stable teleportation portal, except it feels anything but stable.

Could this be a hidden route to escape?

Even worse, how long has this thing been here? Centuries? Millenia? Eons?

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

I pity whatever’s on the other side if plants from the Green Lady’s Greenhouse have been escaping into it from time immemorial.

I mean, that would mean the other side could be filled with plants.

Plants.

That I’ve never seen.

Rustle.

What do you mean it could also be filled with a pit of lava, or a dragon’s gullet?

Have some optimism here, this is an escape, after all.

And not one more word of your grumbling, if she’s really a nice person then she won’t mind us leaving.

If she’s not, its better that we leave than find out ontop of the frying pan.

Stir Fry Chaos Tree is not on my menu.

Rustle!

No, I am NOT having an overreaction to meeting something greatly more powerful than myself.

I am having a severe preservation reaction to meeting something that casually creates Chaos Trees.

Chaos Tree.

Does that name sound like something a sane Divinity would putter around to make?

…Rustle…

Have you ever considered that the reason you are so accommodating to such a Divinity is due to what you are?

I mean, you are like a zillion times more suspicious than me, in fact, in some circles you are considered the voice of reason.

Obviously those people are idiots, yet, they do serve a purpose.

Don’t you find it strange you are so willing to extend the olive branch to a completely unknown entity that kidnapped us with no warning?

I mean, from where I’m looking that’s not the action of the ‘kind’ or ‘benevolent’ Divinity you keep claiming she is.

Rustle!

That’s a cop out, ‘concerns that mortal minds cannot comprehend’ that’s horse manure and you know it!

What would giving us 10 seconds to makes sure the munchkins knew about us leaving do in the long run?

I bet with the alarm suddenly going off, they are probably frantically searching for us right now.

Imagine it.

Two children with extremely powerful affinities to Light and Dark, a random Demonic Sword Girl, and Devon.

Rustle.

Yes! Exactly! Empires could be crumbling all because we weren’t given any chance to leave a communication!

Does that sound like a ‘good’ thing?

Not by any longshot of the Godly Gardener’s Silver Sickle it doesn’t!

Rustle.

No, the discussion is over! I’m leaping in this random wormhole to who knows where, and that’s the end of it!

Creeping closer with my roots I tilt myself, falling into the strange warped portal.

No frying pan for this Tree, no sir!
