"Oh boy... Never thought I'd feel like I was about to keel over like an anemic man. I thought the sudden information insertion would feel a bit more painful, like some of those pre-war novels had commonly stated whenever their characters would suddenly learn skills. Or did they change the feeling of headaches to fainting, to avoid giving anyone long-lasting effects from the constant headaches? Either way, it's fine by me." Soren commented with a satisfied expression, before walking towards another straw doll and excitedly yelled "Holy Touch!". Unfortunately for him, even after waiting for a whole minute, nothing actually happened, even when he touched the coarse surface of the straw doll.
"Alright, how on god's green earth am I supposed to perform the spell? Is there a manual for that game?" Unfortunately for Soren, there was no response to his questions and could only grumble quietly, as he constantly yelled out "Holy Touch", in an attempt to perform anything, aside from just screaming in the air like a lunatic for the next thirty minutes, before sitting on the ground, as his throat was feeling dry and sore from the constant yelling.
"Clearly, yelling in the air is not the right option... Let's see if I can see any descriptions on the skill itself, otherwise I might just go mad." Afterwards, Soren opened the skill menu and pressed on his [Holy Touch] spell, before a second panel appeared in front of him.
Current skills: Active skills: Holy Touch Passive skills: Beginner Sword Proficiency Lv.2, Bless Magic Proficiency Lv.1
Holy Touch: Channel your Mana to imbue your hand with the Bless element. Has a small chance to drop the enemy's Vitality stat by 3. The Vitality drop can not go below 1. Consumption: 0.5 MP/sec
"Hmm... I guess this description does help a bit, but that begs the question of how to channel Mana. Isn't there supposed to be a tutorial for that as well?" As Soren was asking that, he decided to close the menus and focus back on how to perform the spell. Yelling the spell's name yielded no results, so instead, he decide to try and imagine how he would have to channel Mana and without a warning, a warm lump in the middle of his chest had suddenly made itself apparent and quickly turned into a thin length of rope that engulfed his arm and ended in the middle of his right palm, causing it glow with a thin and white layer of some sort of film-like sheet. As he suddenly experienced the sensation and saw palm covered with the white film, he quickly grabber the straw doll's head and within seconds, the straw suddenly looked like it was twitching a bit, before its body suddenly turned into pure white particles that floated upwards.
"Jesus... What in the actual f*ck is this ability?" Soren commented, as his stupor was suddenly broken by the panels in front of him.
Bless Magic Proficiency has leveled up. (+1 Wisdom)
"Beginner's Tutorial" Task 2 Complete. Task 3/3: Create something of your own choosing. Any potion or piece of equipment is eligible for completion of the task.
"That's cool and all, but what in the actual f*ck is this Holy Touch spell? Isn't this kind of broken?" Soren commented incredulously, as he felt a bit horrified by the results of his spell. If that twitching was the effect on an inanimate object, he couldn't even imagine what would happen if he tried it on a living being. In the end, he decided to put away those thoughts, otherwise he would be stuck in own horrifying fantasies for hours and although he wasn't on a rush, he wasn't intending to spend hours on the tutorial stage of the game.

"I guess we have crafting tutorials now. Doesn't seem like I'll need to perform anything traumatic for this." With that comment, Soren then decided to examine the tools and the furnace that were located on the corner of the table. There were a pair of pliers, a small hammer, a mortar and pestle, as well as some sort of small stove and beneath the stove was a thin roll of parchment. Upon opening it, the parchment disappeared and a panel appeared in front of him.
You've learned the recipe for [Trainee's Health Potion]
Recipe for [Trainee's Health Potion]
Ingredients:
3 Leaves from a Minor Life Tree
1 Stalk from a Life-Infused Vine
1 Mana Herb
Process:
Boil the leaves in clean water until the water is a light green color. Separate the water and the boiled leaves and crush the leaves with the stalk in the mortar into a fine paste, before inserting the paste back into the water, together with the Mana Herb. Boil until both the paste and Herb can not be seen in the liquid and extract the liquid in an empty vial.
"Wow... It's an actual process. And here I thought it would be as simple as grabbing the ingredients and pressing the "Craft" button. I guess I'll have to actually try, but where the hell do I get this stuff?" As Soren was still processing the recipe, his quest got updated with the necessary ingredients and a few arrows appeared around the forest.
Task 3/3: Create something of your own choosing. Any potion or piece of equipment is eligible for completion of the task.
Collect:
0/3 Minor Life Tree Leaf
0/1 Life-Infused Vine Stalk
0/1 Mana Herb
"I guess that answers my question. Let's quickly check on the Blacksmithing side quickly." Soren stated, as he picked up another parchment next to the furnace and disappeared, as it turned into a similar panel as before.
Blacksmithing 101:
Pick your ore of choosing, insert it into the pot outside the furnace and place the pot inside the furnace, until the ore melts into molten metal. Afterwards, pick a mold of your choosing, pour the hot metal into the mold and wait until it solidifies. Once it solidifies, use your pliers to pick up your unfinished item and insert it into the furnace for a couple of minutes, before hammering its glowing motes to finish its crafting process.
"Uh... Is this for real? I guess for a blacksmithing tutorial, it's enough, but good lord this thing is rudimentary at best... Maybe I'll just stick to enemy equipment drops, because I don't expect to see anything good out of anyone's crafted equipment. The pots on the other hand... Maybe I should try playing the alchemist for once. It would be fun throwing bombs at every enemy in the area." Soren commented joyfully, as he imagined himself creating fiery explosions and being a pyromaniac in general, before shaking away those thoughts and focusing on creating the potion to finish the tutorial.
Thanks to the arrows, he had no problems picking up 3 blue leaves and an azure vine from a nearby tree and a green herb from the nearby bush. After grabbing the necessary ingredients, he pressed a small button on the back of the stove and a couple of glass vials with water materialized on top of the stove, before inserting the leaves in one of them first and waiting for the liquid to turn light green. While waiting to do so, he thought about trying to grind a bit of proficiency for his passive skills, but was met with an invisible wall that prevented him from getting near the straw dolls.
With the thoughts of grinding extinguished, he could only wait patiently, as he had to follow the steps one by one and after fifteen minutes of waiting, crushing and more waiting, he finally reached the last step where he had to separate the murky green liquid from plant matter and thanks to the second vial, which had emptied out beforehand, it was nothing more than a trivial matter. Once the last drop entered the vial, the vial suddenly had a small cork on top and a few panels appeared in front of him immediately after.
