Congratulations on completing the "Lone Vermin Hunt" Quest. You have earned 15 Copper Coins and 1 [Trainee's Health Potion].
'And the daily quest's done. I already bought an extra five Trainee health pots from Manny's shop, totaling to twelve, including mine and today's potiong. I'm fully armored now and my sword's still looking and feeling pretty fine.' Soren thought to himself, as he performed one final check on his equipment and supplies, once he finished his vermin hunt quest and claimed reward, before leaving the settlement quickly and making his way towards the Cutter's territory, while avoiding most of the critters he would usually encounter.
"I know that after getting used to the combat system and doing some grinding, it's usually followed by a surprise boss battle of some kind, but I think this is the first time that I'm actively looking for one. Well, this open field should be the place." Soren commented nervously, as he was hiding behind a tree and staring the Voracious Cutter, who was fast asleep right next to a pile of half-eaten trees, which were oozing a dark yellowish liquid. He knew that once he came out of hiding, he would have to be very careful, since the ground was littered with broken branches and if he stepped on one of them, he was certain that he would lose the initiative and without cover in the Cutter's territory, he was more than certain that it lead to a swift game over.
Slowly, he tiptoed through the branches and the broken pieces of wood and although there were a couple of close calls, with slow and careful maneuvering and a lot of patience, Soren arrived right in front of the Cutter's sleeping body and slowly took out his iron sword. Standing in front with this beast, Soren took a slow and deep breath and gathered all of his courage, before plunging his iron sword into the Cutter's right eye with all of his strength. At that moment, the Voracious Cutter was forced awake from the intense feeling of pain it was feeling in its eye and roared in pain so loudly, that it ruptured Soren's eardrums while causing him to stumble backwards, as pain and dizziness overwhelmed his senses.
As the Cutter was still desperately trying to pull the iron sword from its eye, Soren managed to recover from the dizziness and although he couldn't hear the its roars, he could still feel the shockwaves, making it a bit harder for him to get closer to the Cutter. Once he recovered, he took out the wooden sword he still had from the tutorial and quickly circled behind it, before trying to plunge it in its rear end. Unfortunately, the wooden sword didn't do much damage, if any at all, and the Cutter's attention went from the sword in its eye, towards its attacker and immediately swiped its arms behind it, only to hit air, as he dodged immediately upon seeing the incoming swipe.
Seeing the Cutter's attention is fully locked on himself, Soren knew that he had to be a lot more careful now, since not only was his main weapon stuck in the beast's eye, but he was still feeling the aftereffects of his eardrum rupture and though he was in a pretty sorry state, the Cutter itself wasn't exactly faring much better, since the sword in its eye was causing it so much pain and discomfort, that it made it hard to focus on its assailant. As the two of them were engaged on a staredown, Soren made the first move by quickly drinking a potion and then ran straight into the forest, as he would use it for cover to launch sneak attacks, while the Cutter furiously followed right after him, as the two of them engaged in a game of cat and mouse.

As Soren would run and hide between the trees, the Cutter would either crush them with its large claws, or it would pull the trees off the ground and throw them towards him. Although the trees never hit him, since he would always hide far away, he had multiple close shaves with them, since the force of the throw was strong enough to destroy multiple trees, before the projectile tree itself was either destroyed or stopped, depending on the amount of trees it would collide with. As it kept throwing trees furiously, signs of fatigue were showing on its face, as its breath was starting to become rugged and erratic, its body movements became slower and even its throws became weaker, as those could barely destroy a tree or two.
Seeing the Cutter's rugged and fatigued complexion, Soren slowly sneaked around it and before it had a chance to realize what was going on, Soren immediately leaped on its back while activating Holy Touch on both of his hands and desperately started climbing it, while the Cutter desperately tried to use its claws to pry him off. Although he felt a few scratches on various parts of his arms, legs and even his head, he also used a couple of potions to offset some of the damage and once his hands reached the top of his head, Soren used his Holy Touch-infused right hand and proceeded to repeatedly scratch its other eye, hoping to completely blind it. Unfortunately for him, even after scratching it multiple times, it didn't seem to affect it, so instead he grabbed his sword and tried to pull it out with as much force as he could.
'F*ck me... It's not coming off!' Soren cursed inwardly, as his sword was firmly stuck in its eye and before he could think of something else, a claw swipe was enough to knock him off its back, causing him to fall on the ground. Before he had a chance to rise though, a claw was coming to crush his body, so he desperately rolled his body away, before getting a chance to get up and drink another potion to heal his wounds.
"F*ck... Hah... Hah... Can't you just... f*cking die already...?" Soren jokingly asked, as his breath was ragged and his body was feeling weak, while staring down the equally ragged and fatigued Cutter, who was staring him back hatefully. He could tell that both of them were reaching the limit and their next exchange would be their last, so he steel his resolve and brandished his wooden sword, while the Cutter roared one more time and charged as fast it could, so it could crush Soren before he got a chance to do anything else. Unfortunately for it, Soren quickly charged away from it and managed to quickly dodge it by twirling around a tree and changing his direction, allowing him to dodge the initial charge. Once he did so, he quickly turned back charged as fast as he could towards the Cutter, who was still recovering from the charge, and struck the iron sword in its eye with as all of the remaining force he could muster, causing it to plunge so deeply inside its head, that only the hilt remained outside.
After doing so, Soren quickly dodged backwards, expecting a retaliation of some kind, but the Cutter just stood there motionlessly, before its towering figure slowly leaned forward and collapsed lifelessly on the ground with a loud noise. As Soren stared at the motionless beast in front of him, a familiar panel appeared in front of him.

*sigh* "I f*cking did it... I F*CKING DID IT!" Soren cheerfully yelled towards the sky, as his body collapsed from the accumulated fatigue and stared towards the open sky, with a feeling of joy, satisfaction and pride welling up inside of him.
