~~Adam POV~~
"ADAM!!" Ah crap, Mom's coming for me. I can't believe I fell back asleep after she woke me up. I quickly got out of bed and rushed into the bathroom, immediately grabbing my toothbrush. "Adam, I said out of bed, twenty minutes ago" She came into my room, and I could already feel the heat from the bathroom.
"I'm in there shower right now, ain't I" I quickly turned on the shower, drawing out the insult storm she was throwing out at my bathroom door. "Crazy woman" Honestly, it's not even seven yet and she's already on my ass like I'm not even gonna be late for the bus.
"GET DOWNSTAIRS IN TEN" She yelled over the running shower and went downstairs. I took a deep breath as I heard her shut my door, I love the woman but dang can she be scary. Getting inside the shower, I could feel the cold water running down my body, I needed it to wake my body up and start getting me ready for the day.
Getting out of the shower, I got a good look at my body. I was a lot more built than last year, all the after-school workouts had forced my body to get more muscles. "Coach Samson, probably still thinks I'm skinny".
I stopped admiring my body and started getting dressed. "Black shorts, big T, while slides" A very casual outfit for the first day, Mom's probably gonna get on my ass for it, but it is what is. There's no way I would be wearing that preppy church outfit she picked out for me last night, coming in with a vest would just be so stupid.
I made my way downstairs, the old steps creaked as I moved down. "When are we gonna get these replaced?" These stairs have been creaking since I could walk up and down them. Mom simply ignored me, she was focused on making lunch for me and Tyson, speaking of that him where is the smartass.
"You woke up late" There he is, sitting down on the couch, his shirt unbuttoned and with those thick-as-heck glasses on. "I didn't wake up late, the bus ain't here yet is it" I retorted, the people in my family had sticks up their ass about the time.
"You grab your cleats for football?" Mom spoke up from the kitchen, I had to run back upstairs and grab my blue cleats, can't believe I had forgotten about them. I looked around my whole room, but they weren't there, I even checked Tyson's room, maybe I placed them in there by accident. "Where'd I put them" I was trying to remember what I had done with them, I remember handing them to Mom since she wanted them cleaned, "Did she give them back"
"Hey did you ever give them back to me Mom, cause I can't find them anywhere," I asked her, that was the wrong choice.
"Adam, go look for them shoes 'cause I told you to place them in your bag last night" I could hear the deadly threat in her voice, she was gonna kill me if I couldn't find those cleats. 'Where'd I place them' Sweat started dripping from my head, the panic started setting in. I was searching through the entire living room now looking for those cleats.
"I put them in your bag" Tyson spoke up as he saw me scrambling through the living room.
"Why didn't you tell me" I was going to strangle this little shit, how could he not tell me that he had already placed them in my bag. I turned around and I could see the smirk he had on his face, the little shit was having fun with me.
"What?" He tried to play dumb, if Mom wasn't here right now, I would strangle the crap out of him right now. Fortunately for him, Mom was here and she wouldn't hesitate to beat my ass if I dared to lay my hands on any part of Tyson, and he knew that.
"You find those cleats?" Mom asked from the kitchen, "Yeah he found them, I placed them in his bag" Tyson spoke up before I could, the little shit wanted to make sure Mom knew he had placed the cleats in my bag. He always does shit like that.
"You see, that's what a brother does. As an older brother, you need to be taking lessons from him" Mom spoke up again, and the smirk on Tyson's face stretched even more. "Shut up" I threw a couch pillow at him and headed into the kitchen to go get breakfast and get my lunch from Mom.

School has been fun, I've met up with all my friends, Caleb was still the same dumbass, Melvin, and Justin were cool, it's been chill. Since it was also the first day, all I had to do was just take some syllabuses and remember to get some notebooks later this weekend. "Yo Adam, wait up, let's go to the locker room together"
Caleb called out to me, we had just gotten out of World History, and I was ready to get to football. "Hurry up then" His slow butt was taking far too long to leave class and head out, we needed to get to the locker room fast enough, to get a good locker this year.
"Hey Marvin" Caleb called out to a dude with his hoodie on, there's no way he could be talking about the same dude we were talking about earlier right, that's far too coincidental. The dude turned around and those black eyes could not be mistakeable for anyone else, and dumbass Caleb now decided to walk faster and catch up to the dude.
Caleb started talking with Marvin, introducing me to him and asking some dumb questions. 'Of course he's heading to the locker room, where else would he be going from here and can't you see Caleb, he doesn't wanna talk.' I didn't voice my thoughts though, the dumbass looked like he was having too much fun.
"ARE YOU WALKING, GET YOUR ASS INSIDE NOW" Coach Alvarez yelled at us, we didn't waste any time and rushed inside as fast as we could. Marvin got inside before us, and we saw him standing at the cross-section, looked like he didn't know which way to go.
"Freshman lockers are that way" I pointed to the right locker room as me and Caleb made our way to the JV locker room.

"Ehh It's Caleb and Adam" Justin pulled me and Caleb over, his long wavy blonde hair getting all into my mouth. He had been growing the thing since middle school and it was reaching down to his shoulders, can't blame him for not cutting it though, all the girls seemed to love touching it.
"What's up Justin, you get us a spot?" Caleb asked and Justin led us to a spot where some of the other guys were, I was glad he had saved us a locker, if he hadn't we'd probably have to go all the way to the back and then deal with Desmond. That would just put a horrible swirl on the chill day.
I quickly got settled at my locker, took out my phone, and waited for the coaches to come in and let us know what we would be doing next. That didn't take too long as Coach D came inside the locker room "Alright we gotta do this fast, so I need everyone who has a last name that starts with the letters in this range, A-F"
I got out of my locker and followed Coach D, he led us to the trainer's room where we got our weight and height measured, I was standing at a healthy 5'7, 170lbs. From there we headed to the storage room and got fitted with our helmets, pads, and other equipment.
Then Coach D sent us to the weight room where we had to wait, I guess they wanted to do some kind of speech or something cause there really was not much of a reason for all of us to be packed in here. Also just how many people are playing in JV this year, there's like triple the guys from training camp, it has to be some sort of health hazard to have this many kids in here.
'Is that Tyson' After waiting for a couple of minutes, I saw my younger brother, which didn't make sense, this was meant to be for JV only. I couldn't ask him why he was there, cause he went over to hang with his friends and I knew he would give me some smug response when I asked anyway.
Some more minutes later, I saw Marvin, 'What's he doing here?" It didn't make sense for him to be here either. I went over to him and asked "Why are you here?" his face seemed to twitch a little as he turned around to look at me, but before he could answer I realized what was happening.
"Actually it makes sense, there's so many people here, I think the coaches combined the Freshman and JV teams today, to give out equipment faster," It's the most logical reason why Tyson and Marvin were even here, it also made the most planning sense, hand out everything at once.
I didn't take up much of Marvin's time and simply just waited for the coaches to come. Caleb made his way over to us after he got his equipment, he wondered the same thing I did, but I explained what was happening to him and after waiting some more Coach Hartman walked in.
He dismissed us back to the locker room, Marvin made his way back to the freshman locker room, while me and Caleb took our time returning to the JV locker room. Getting to my locker, I took some time to look at the equipment I got, everything looked brand new, the pads didn't have scuffs like last year, the shirts looked crisp, and the helmets were sweet too.
"I got a speed flex" Justin was showing off his helmet to us, he was very excited as last year he was stuck wearing a bucket helmet, we called him bucket throughout the whole season it was hilarious. Everyone took their time going through their stuff but as were doing that some noise began emanating from the back, something was getting hit on the lockers.
Then people started yelling and my curiosity peaked even more. Caleb and the other guys must have been curious as well cause they followed me as I made my way to the back. Getting to the back I saw a crowd of boys, it was hard to see what was in front of them, their backs were covering everything up.
"Hey move" I pushed the guys out of my way and made my way towards the front. At the front was Desmond being held back by Quincy and Jared, and they were struggling to hold back raging Desmond, 'What could have gotten him so mad' I wondered. Looking to my right I saw 'MARVIN!?' Why was he here, didn't he hear what Coach Hartman said.
Also, why was he trying to hit Marvin, it didn't make sense, until I looked at where Marvin was sitting. 'That's Desmond's locker' Everyone here knew that was his locker, he announced it last year to us, and we all understood not to touch the locker, but Marvin was sitting there and had his stuff in it. 'The dumbass's gonna die' I thought.
"HEY WHAT's GOING ON HERE" Coach Alvarez entered the locker room, immediately everyone scrambled, going back to their lockers, I did the same as well, I wasn't gonna get caught up in Alvarez's rage. I don't know what happened next but I did see Coach Alvarez drag Marvin and Desmond out of the locker room.

~~Marvin POV~~
'For fucks sake' It's the first day and I'm already getting in trouble with the staff, and all because of a fucking locker. Who even cares so much about a locker, it's not that deep dude, there are plenty of other lockers out here.
As I was being dragged to the coach's office by Coach Alvarez, I was thinking about the different actions I could have taken to not have ended in this situation. Not sitting at that particular locker would probably have had the biggest impact, but I doubt I wouldn't have had to deal with this raging behemoth, 'You wouldn't even give me time to move my stuff'.
"We just had a fight," Coach Alvarez said to Joel, Joel put down his glasses and I could see the shock on his face as he saw mine. 'Guess he wasn't expecting me here so soon' "Alright I'll take care of it Carlos, take JV out for a run. The freshman coaches should already be getting the freshman to their side" Joel dismissed Carlos.
"Desmond, getting into a fight on the first day. I thought you wanted to be on Varsity next year, now you're looking at a possible suspension and being cut" Joel began speaking to Desmond. The rage monster remained surprisingly calm as Joel was drilling into him, I was half expecting him to still be seething in rage and trying to kill me.
"There won't be a next time, you will not fight another one of your teammates again or you won't even get the courtesy of seeing me, your schedule will be changed. Go get dressed in black, we're running" Joel dismissed Desmond, as the raging fool began making his way out, Joel locked eyes with me, a sigh came out of his mouth.
"Marvin, I don't know how things were done at your old school, but here fighting is absolutely not tolerated. If you're going to be a member of this team then you need to adhere to our rules." Joel was completely serious as he looked at me, his tone far different from the usual jollyness.
"I know how Desmond is, he probably got heated over something and started a fight, you did good not responding physically. Now you need to go get your blacks on, we're going to be running" I got out of my seat and made my way back to the locker room.
Taking my clothes off and changing, I got my cleats on and headed out. Making my way to the field I could see the rest of the team sprinting, the number of guys was way less than earlier, I guess the freshman team was using the other field.
"Looks like the other perpetrator's here, you gotta run your forty as well," Coach Hartman told me as I stepped on the field, I didn't waste time and took off sprinting to the forty-yard line where the other guys were.
"You guys already tired, we've only done four. You're gonna have to get used to this running if you plan on playing Friday" *BLEET* Coach Hartman blew his whistle and we all took off running back to the endzone, I could already feel my heart beating, I wasn't given enough time to rest before I started the next sprint.
"This will teach you that the next time you see your teammates arguing, you shut it down before one of us has to shut it down" This time Coach Samson spoke to us and Coach Hartman blew his whistle once again. I guess football isn't going to be a rest from this shitty day
