Chapter 15: Voice Transmission (Deleted Draft)

After being flung afar by her wooden swords strength, I coughed out some blood, the impact of the Young Mistresses attack had broken one of my ribs. This was supposed to be merely a spar yet she's really pushing the limits of the rules of it by injuring us to this extent. I felt her attitude was strange from the very moment she proposed this bet casually but now I know that there's definitely something more to this bet than meets the eye.

"Are you alright?" A woman in blue robes who was healing us youths who were sent flying by the Young Mistresses wooden sword with water magic asks worryingly. I had no time to pay attention to her and allow her to heal me as I chanted another spell. This wasn't an attack type spell but one I specifically asked Mark for as a reward for going through with his training.

"Voice Transmission!" I chant whisperingly. My voice turns into a strong and enters only the ears of the Young Mistress who was still attacking the other youths. The feeling of pain from having one rib broken would have made a youth my age unconscious, but to me who has suffered bullet wounds in my past life, this was nothing.

Voice Transmission is a common spell used in the world of Sphera. A spell nearly everyone uses when they want to have secret conversations with other people. This spell is nothing like cellphones from Earth because the only thing it does is make it so that your voice is unable to be heard by people other than the target for transmission.

"You really are savage! You know that?" I transmit in pain directly to her ear before waiting for a response. My broken rib and internal injury heals miraculously in moments, but I still don't have time to thank the Healer in return, my eyes are fixed on the Young Mistress seriously as she stopped taking initiative to attack. The youths around her didn't miss this chance and regained composure, the ones talented in magic surrounded her in order to stop her from attacking the others.

As for my Voice Transmission. If the other party didn't know Voice Transmission due to reasons like not having a high enough Wind Attribute in their Mana or not having enough talent in magic, then they can only listen, since replying back without using Voice Transmission would have no meaning. I know clearly that she also knows this spell, since this kind of magic would be important for nobilities, so I wait for a response.

"Are you wasting you Mana to transmit to me something so obvious? If so, you have a lot of courage, since you should already know that I can beat you half dead even if you are able to use that strange magic to attack me." She transmits her reply back to my ear. An air of confidence surrounds her as she looked like she was planning her next move against the talented youths.

"No, I just wanted to ask something important, have you ever heard of a place called Earth?" I transmit straightforwardly. The blue robed, female Healer in glasses didn't have time to look closely at my lip movements and moved swiftly as she healed the other unconscious youths.

Perhaps we can both talk to each other if she really is a Reincarnated Individual like myself. If she's not one than there's no harm as well. It's not like I need to go to the Imperial Academy in order to gain education anyway. Even if I go to an institute with lower standards, it's not like I won't be able to independently learn some things on my own, since there's a lot of knowledge I can incorporate into the magical studies of the world of Sphera.

"You're a reincarnator as well!?" Her entire demeanour changes in an instant as she transmits back excitedly. I don't know if I should praise or curse her two-faced nature since she didn't let even an ounce of her true thoughts showed on her cold face as she unhesitatingly countered a youth.

"Which God gave you Divine Protection?" She transmits curiously to my ear. It sounded like an innocent question on the outside, but I could tell by her eyes, that she was actually eying my location with malicious intent. I've seen those eyes before in my past life.

In an army, not every soldier your paired up with considers you a comrade, not even if you were to save their life. Some people get paranoid due to the danger a veteran soldier experiences, their eyes become hollow as they plot against their comrades, due to the fact that not everyone can survive safely in a dangerous mission.

I don't answer immediately but look at her cautious eyes. It seems I made a huge mistake. I don't know why she feels ill intent towards me, but I know the cause, since the changes that happened in her eyes were like flickering candles. She truly was excited when she first heard my question, but immediately after that her excitement was replaced by cautiousness, perhaps due to the realisation that I might become a very big threat to her in the future. I can't be certain if it's my imagination or not but I need to think of a way to answer.

"I was a weak and sick high schooler before I reincarnated into this healthy body. As for Divine Protection, I don't know what that is, can you explain it for me?" I transmit back with a serious face. Of course, I'm sure she won't be able to see through my lie, since there's no evidence that she can use to prove if my words are true. In situations like these, the most important thing to do is add some truth along with lies, since even an expert wouldn't be able to see through which part o said was false.

"You have a lot of fighting talent. I like you. It's been twelve years since I've reincarnated into this world, and in those twelve years I have made many achievements. At first, my family used to describe me as a hysteric woman due to obsession of control, but now that's all changed. In this world, control is necessary for nobles, because there are always things you can't influence with only your own strength.

I'm very happy right now, and I must thank you, since your existence shows that I mustn't be careless towards others. How conceited of me, how could I have thought I was the only reincarnator present in this world." She transmits to me in happiness. This f*cking b*tch! She's only pretending to be emotional, although I can tell every thing she said was true, her words don't answer anything I asked. No, she's purposefully trying to avoid my question because she doesn't want me to get any stronger, how selfish!

Well, it's not like I can't tell where she's coming from, it's not like she would be rewarded with anything in return for giving me goodwill. A nobles mindset should be like this. I smile and stand up to stretch my muscles, after a brief inspection, I found no problems in that Healers water magic. My broken rib even feels stronger now than before.

"Thank you." I say to the blue robed healer who looked at me in confusion as I made my way towards the Young Mistress with strong fighting intent. It's alright if you look down on me, but don't think I'm virtues enough to forgive someone who who broke one of my ribs, you f*cking b*tch!
