Chapter 13: The Reincarnated Dukes Daughter (Deleted Draft)

Hah...! Seriously... I died? How unfortunate. I wish I could've patched up the broken relationship I had with my daughter before I was killed in a car accident. I feel regretful that my life as a secretary was cut short at the age of thirty. But, what can I do about it? It's not like there are any medicines for regret, nor is there a way for me to change what happened in that life.

I shouldn't worry if that's the case. Since thinking too much only weighs on my mind. I look curiously at the blank space around me in confusion, not understanding why I still had consciousness, then a fire that enveloped that blank space caught me off guard and caused me to scream in panic. Did I go to hell? Sh*t! I knew I shouldn't have beat the living daylight out my husband even if he tried cheating on me with my neighbour.

"Calm down, you are not in any sort of hell, alright?" A fiery silhouette appears out of the flames and comforts me.

"Liar, you must be the Devil, you must be here to torture me with fire! Oh woe is me! Rachael, I'm sorry, I should have accepted that daughter snatching b*stard as your boyfriend, it's not that I was jealous, not at all! And Robby, even if I was to reincarnate as a stone, I would make sure that stone would be thrown in your cheating face. You adulterous son of a b*tch!" I cursed and wailed in panic. Mother, I'm sorry, I was unable to reach that place you're at in the clouds. Father, it seems I'll now be able seeing you soon.

"Calm down!" The fiery silhouette overbearingly orders. An aura of superiority suppressed my strength and forcefully calmed my mind.

"You are not in hell." The fiery silhouette slowly says. His tone serious and strict, not allowing me to respond.

"You have been chosen to become a Hero." The fiery silhouette says something suspicious with seriousness.

"Why me?" After calming myself down I ask the fiery silhouette in confusion. I didn't quite understand what was happening but I somehow knew this wasn't supposed to be a torture room.

The proof of that was the feeling of warmth I felt from the flames around me. It was a comfortable warmth that relaxed the deepest parts of my soul. I look at the the fiery silhouette and quietly listening to his explanation.

"I didn't have a choice but to pick you due to you being the only soul in the same world as those summoned heroes who has an extremely high affinity to fire. I'll send the rest of the information you need directly into your mind after I've reincarnated you into the world of Sphera. So all you need to know for now is that you must get stronger in order to kill those Outsiders bought by that Arcane Devil." The fiery silhouette says hastily before clicking his fingers.

When I opened my eyes again, I was somehow 'reincarnated' into a resident of a world different from my own. It took some time for me to accept the fact I was still alive, yet after I did, I decided to live my new life to the fullest. I was taken aback when I was told that I had to fight in the future by my new parents. However, I managed to adapt my way of thinking over the length of ten years in order to properly live a life filled with happiness.

My magical talent was higher than any genius in the last hundred years, it was even higher than my fathers, so my starting point was a lot better than anything I could have imagined. The God that sent all this information into my mind must have chose this girl as the vessel of my reincarnation to help me gather forces to fight Outsiders.

I don't know why that so-called Fire God hated them so much, but after understanding the foreign information that was being sent to my mind, a light of understanding suddenly flickered in my eyes. It seems that one of the Gods that took over this world in the absence of its creators decided to use a soul from my world to create a Hero that would fight against the so called Arcane Devil that also trespassed on Sphera.

"From the information that Fire God sent me, he and the Arcane Devil are similar due to their actions. Both the Zodiac God that rules over the Elemental Gods and they themselves are a trespasser in this fantasy world of Sphera. The only difference is that Gods are like campers that stay over in another persons house whilst Devils are arsonists that burn the house they infiltrate with their full effort." I mutter to myself as I look at the mirror.

Twelve years have past since I reincarnated into this world and in those twelve years I have focused my talents in training to control my overbearing Mana. I remember how strict my mother was when training me in the Arts of our families unique swordsmanship, and how she praised me continuously of my martial and magical just because I'm her daughter.

"Sapphire, it's time for the tournament to choose your exclusive butler, come and see the candidates." Mother asks me after entering without knocking.

"Why did Dad choose to give me an exclusive butler instead of a exclusive maid. Is what I wonder." I say sarcastically as I turned to show her the dress I put on myself with much effort.

"You already know why, right? Your father wants to find you a suitable Duo Partner to help you enter the Imperial Academy. The servants of our household are the strongest in the entire kingdom, each of them were allowed to serve here due to their own circumstances, and none of them are weak. Unlike the lazy sons of the other nobles with talent." My mother explains to me with a smile.

"You want me to eventually get married to one of them?" I ask in disbelief.

"We have no other options. For now they will have to do. However, if you find a more suitable partner at the academy, don't hesitate to throw your butler to the side." My mother answered as she nodded. As I heard her words, I felt the woman I was in my previous life had changed, because I actually agreed with her methods.

It was only natural though. An idiotic person born of noble lineage would always suffer due to the responsibilities she has to carry. In the future, I'm sure I'll have to scheme and avoid traps laid down by other nobles of the kingdom.

"Let's see them then." I didn't argue with my mother and followed her to the main hall of the Swordwick Household.

After seeing the traces of greed and ambition in the eyes of those servants the same age as me, I couldn't help but feel contempt. The eyes they showed me showed no trace of respect towards their new master. Instead, they all looked at each other as if they would attack each other to 'obtain' me. They gave the kind of gazes I hated the most.

"Let's start the tournament in the Training Grounds. Follow me." I order them after saying some polite words to show my respect for their parents.
