Having returned to the yacht, Long Hua sits on top of the bed with Tian Cheng to the side.
In front of him is the gacha interface, and prior to pulling, Long Hua asks—
“Tai Xuan Emperor, what are the odds of me being able to kill that Hai Zang—if I equip the Machina Frame with a proper weapon?”
(Hmm. We couldn’t really gauge that thing’s strength last time, so it’s hard to say. Also, not knowing the way it tends to fight—makes it difficult for me to even make recommendations on what weapon you should pick up.)
Sinking into thought, Long Hua frowns, while thinking—
(If this person is really able to use all the Spirit Armaments that I’ve pulled against me in the future…)
The thought of having to fight a fully armed Machina Frame is nothing short of a headache for Long Hua.
(Ai, I suppose issues for the future can be resolved so long as my strength is adequate, and to acquire this strength, an investment is needed. …This is very much like a race. Will I be able to acquire enough strength to deal with whatever she’s capable of in the future first, or will she end up being able to make a move against me first?)
………
Within the dreamscape—
“…”
The Tai Xuan Emperor also sinks into thought.
“His reluctance in pulling on the gacha lately… Could it be…?”
Raising a frown, the Tai Xuan Emperor realizes that—
“Has he figured out that I would be able to use all his pulled Spirit Armaments against him in the future? That’s…-”
Narrowing her magenta-colored eyes, which are surrounded by golden rings, a sharp gleam emanates from them.
“Sooner or later, we’ll be forced to rip our friendly masks off. But until then… It’s a race.”
Muttering this, a smile of amusement appears on the Tai Xuan Emperor’s face.
………
“…80 pulls.”
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
The moment Long Hua mutters this, an 80-roll option appears on the interface.
Hitting the button, the interface flashes, and with it, numerous capsules burst open with varying shines.
“…”
Scrolling through the items, Long Hua counts—
“16 combat bodies, anti-materiel rifles, shotguns, missile launchers, grenade launchers, tower shields, and a mortar?”
Listing out the Spirit Armaments, Long Hua goes through the notable support items, which include the healing pills and the various talismans.
“Hmm, adding these, I got six physical strength boosting talismans now, along with five speed talismans, and then there are ten healing pills…”
Continuing to scroll down the interface, Long Hua eventually spots the SSR rarity item, which turns out to be—
(Your lucks been quite good lately, *-laoban.)
“I suppose.”
The Spirit Armament is a sword meant for the Machina Frame.
(Care to grab a long-ranged weapon as well?)
“If I see the need for it, then I will. But until then, no plans to do so.”
(…Just to confirm, you’re planning to challenge that Hai Zang right now?)
“I doubt anything will happen tomorrow, so I plan to sleep in if I succeed.”
Planning things ahead, Long Hua had already sent a text to Ye Chen—saying that he won’t be showing up to the office tomorrow.
“Hmm.”
Having her vessel lean over, the Tai Xuan Emperor says—
“If we’re fighting a colossal monster, then the most effective Spirit Armaments among these options would have to be the anti-materiel rifle, along with the explosion-based firearms.”
“True, but… There’s no solid footing in that place.”
Towards Long Hua’s reply, Tian Cheng takes out a board.
The entirety of the board is white, and on its base are two round vents.
“What’s this?”
(It’s called a float. They’re basically hoverboards; however, they don’t offer much movement speed. Still, they should be able to keep a person afloat on top of the waters just fine.)
Having her vessel nod, the Tai Xuan Emperor continues to speak through it by saying—
“We have a total of 20 combat bodies; a few can be equipped with tower shields, while the rest can be equipped with firearms.”
“Hmm.”
Counting the number of tower shields in their possession, Long Hua begins to make arrangements in his head, and says—
“We have four shields. So then, five combat bodies in a group—to bombard that thing from a distance. In terms of ammo types to use…”
“I believe blast rounds and impaler rounds would work best.”
Nodding his head, Long Hua asks—
“Tai Xuan Emperor, can the impaler rounds be replenished through the divine weapon?”
(Blast rounds are the default bullet-type for the rifles; those can be replenished, but special rounds like the impaler can’t.)
Raising a frown, Long Hua asks—
“Why?”
(Structurally, the impaler rounds are a bit too complicated to recreate, and the material it’s made from falls under the rare metals category. Recreation is possibly, but in live combat, it would take forever to create a single round. I’d say, that’s not worth it—when you could be using the divine weapon to continuously replenish regular ammunition. …Although, if you recollect the fired round, you could restore it back to the state that it was in prior to its firing. Better yet, if you know how to craft the bullet yourself, you could use the surplus to make more rounds.)
“…”
Towards the Tai Xuan Emperor’s explanation, Long Hua frowns before turning to Tian Cheng to ask—
“How many impaler rounds do we have?”
“Around 30, since we’re using it to bleed the beast, I suggest we fire them right from the beginning.”
“Hmm, aim for its pectoral fins. I want it to move as little as possible.”
“Understood.”
