AZI Volume 6 Chapter 2

Placing a hand onto Long Hua’s shoulder, Wu Xiao says—

“Calm down. This little brother of mine, he won’t dare to report you, and I’ll make sure of it.”

Turning to Yun You, Wu Xiao asks—

“Right?”

“…Right.”

Immediately, the tension filled mood begins to show a sign of dissipating, but before it can do so fully, Long Hua says—

“A lunatic near death has three options. One, they can choose to pass away peacefully. Two, they can choose to spend the rest of their remaining life to find a solution that will let them live. Three, they can drag an entire world down as a part of their burial.”

“…”

“…”

Simultaneously, Yun You and Wu Xiao frowns. But before they can say anything—

“Indeed.”

The sound of hands being clapped together comes from the side, and as the three turn to look in the direction of the source, they see—

“Bai Wen.”

Dressed in a white dress shirt with a pair of dark trousers and leather shoes is Bai Wen, and towards the former’s approach, Yun You raises a sigh, and asks—

“What are you doing here?”

“I was bored. Consider this me being out on a stroll.”

Turning to Long Hua, Bai Wen asks—

“Lao Long, which of the three options would you take?”

“Either two or three, never one.”

“Oh? Why is that?”

“Between the two, I’m more inclined to have an entire world be buried with me. A memorable feat—regardless of good or bad, is a memorable feat; accomplishing one means you’ve left a mark on the world, and on the people who were fortunate enough to survive your madness. Even in hell—pass that point, you can at least say, you’ve lived well.”

Towards this answer, Bai Wen laughs aloud.

“Indeed.”

Turning to Yun You, Bai Wen says—

“Yun You, keep one eye open, and shut the other.”

“…Tch. Whatever.”

“Oh? So, you’re surnamed Yun? Mm, hand over the other half of my ruby.”

“I can redeem some good beverages with that, so why should I?”

Shrugging his shoulders, Long Hua looks to Bai Wen, and asks—

“Lao Bai, you heard that?”

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

“Yun You, when can I expect to receive my share?”

“Sons of bitches, the both of you.”

Leaving these words behind, Yun You exits the chamber through a rift, while Bai Wen asks—

“Lao Long, dinner tonight at my place?”

“I doubt I’d be able to get back to the city today.”

“Use the teleportation magic array in the village. You got a map on where all the village entrances are, don’t you?”

“I suppose.”

“Be expecting you at around nine.”

Having said this, Bai Wen leaves as well.

As Long Hua turns towards the way out, Wu Xiao asks—

“…That’s it? Not going to say anything to me, my dearest?”

Without turning around, Long Hua answers—

“Surnamed Mo, we don’t have anything to talk about, do we?”

“Didn’t I tell you to call me Wu Xiao when we’re alone?”

“Let me correct myself then, surnamed Wu—we don’t have anything to talk about.”

Without saying anything more, Long Hua leaves, but just as he is about to exit the chamber, Wu Xiao shouts—

“So long as you’re in the Leng Bing Realm for a day, you’re my husband for a day! Also, you owe me two tunes!”

Hearing the second line, Long Hua nearly trips over himself, and without turning around, he shouts back—

“If you want those tunes, show me some results first!”

“…”

Turning around, Wu Xiao also leaves through a rift.

………

Arriving on the first island—

“…”

Seeing the amount of destruction, Long Hua blinks his eyes—pretending to be surprised.

For the most part, there aren’t that many lively individuals moving about, so rather quickly, he exits the ruins.

Outside the ruins—

“…”

A wide path of destruction runs from the rift, and ends up stretching into the distant horizon.

Nearby, all the tents have been converted into medical stops with people running in and out of them with fresh and dirtied medical supplies.

Overhead, helicopters fly in and out to send the wounded into a proper medical facility, so that they can receive suitable care.

(Hmm. I guess, I should at least let people know that those extracts are for sale? But finding those people one by one… It’s not my style, I’d much rather they come to me. Since they all saw me last in the third mountain’s chambers, they’ll definitely come to me, and ask me about those extracts. I just need to be out in the open for a while.)

Spreading his divine senses outwards, Long Hua attempts to see if there’s anyone that he recognizes nearby, who would let him kill some time with while waiting.

“Oh?”

Finding someone rather quickly, Long Hua begins to move in their direction.

………

Sitting down on a pile of rubble in an open area, while looking from left to right in an anxious manner is Chen Lan—who has his light brown jacket and white shirt covered in bits of dirt.

“Xiao Chen Chen, why the long face?”

“Ancestor!”

Seeing Long Hua approaching him, Chen Lan rises off the rocks and rushes over.

Despite already knowing what had probably happened, Long Hua nevertheless asks—

“So, what happened?”

“…A level six Immortal came down, and dealt with the fully Apotheosized Sinner.”

Figuring this to be the case, Long Hua raises an eye, and replies—

“Oh? Didn’t know Immortals are doing community service these days.”

Taking out a spirit herb cigar, Long Hua begins to smoke, while moving over to the pile of stones to take a seat.

Sitting down as well, Chen Lan remarks—

“Nothing seems to faze you at all, ancestor.”

“Death is death, no matter how it happens. You could be walking on the streets in broad daylight and suddenly, your heart decides to burst. Next thing you know, you—as a ghost, see people surrounding your corpse with a curious look on their faces, while snapping pictures of your cold body to post on the internet. A few minutes after that, memes and news articles appear—only to be forgotten about in time.”

“…A-Ah this………”

With how realistic the description is, Chen Lan twitches his lips before saying—

“I… I saw a few of my acquaintances get wiped away by that Sinner’s blast. After that… After that, I didn’t even have time to be surprised by them dying—since the Immortal showed up, and killed that Sinner. That Immortal’s strength…”

As Chen Lan pauses his words, Long Hua exhales a stream of smoke, and remarks—

“Level six, was it? Well, nothing special, I guess? Merely another Chinese cabbage that can be found anywhere.”

Knowing the Nascent Soul realm to only be the very beginning of one’s life as a practitioner, Long Hua really doesn’t see it to be anything worth awing over.

(Honestly, if a Nascent Soul realm practitioner is enough to get the weapon spirits in this world to shit their pants… How are they going to continue acting as a good distraction for the Ling Yuan family, while I temper myself? Hmm… I guess if push comes to shove, those capable of using of their Weapon Spirit True Bodies will be good meat shields—at least against those below the Nascent Soul realm?)
