Dressed in the black garbs that they had used in the ruins, Long Hua and Tian Cheng, who are separated from one another, wait at the side of a different runway each—for their respective targets to land.
Currently, they are using their own means of camouflage to make themselves invisible.
[Should be soon, master.]
Due to the amount of distance between them, they are currently communicating with one another via communications devices.
Raising a sigh, Long Hua remarks—
“In the end, we couldn’t really find anything about that proprietress. People with red-colored hair tend to stand out as well…”
Drawing out her dummy units, which are dressed in the same garbs, Tian Cheng has them wait behind her before replying—
[The fact that her sightings aren’t recorded anywhere, means she cannot just be an ordinary weapon spirit.]
“I never really thought of her to be a weapon spirit. In any case, let’s just hope we don’t bump into her.”
A few minutes off schedule, but eventually one of their targeted aircrafts—the one on Long Hua’s side, touches the ground, and rolls forward, to gradually come to a smooth stop.
As this is an aircraft used primarily for moving supplies from one location to another, there are no passengers to wait on.
And rather quickly, five semi-trucks attached to large trailers approach, and with their approach, the rear hatch of the aircraft opens—revealing a fully loaded cargo hold.
“Mine just landed.”
[The second one should be soon then.]
Continuing to wait, Long Hua watches from the side, as workers begin to offload the crates, and place them onto their designated trailer.
“Just to confirm, my target is the blue truck, right?”
[Correct.]
Just as Tian Cheng replies, a loud sound goes off on her side, to which, she says—
[The other aircraft has arrived. I’ll be focusing most of my attention on it.]
“Got it.”
Answering as such, Long Hua spreads his divine senses outwards—to get a look at the items that are contained in the crates.
After devouring the core and Nascent Soul of Wang Bei Mu, his divine senses’ strength has increased sharply—allowing him to see much further away, while also increasing its ability to see pass objects.
(Hmm. Rare metals and minerals wise, they all look the same to me.)
Just as Long Hua is about to ask the Tai Xuan Emperor a question, the person herself says—
(None of the ones that you’ve swept pass are of any value.)
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
“I see.”
………
On the other side, where the second aircraft had landed—
(Hmm.)
With her vessel’s eyes fully open, and using the combat body’s unique function, the Tai Xuan Emperor has a perfect view of everything contained within the aircraft.
(Tch. Did we waste our time? Or is it that the rare metals and minerals that I’m looking for—are just that difficult to find in this stupid world?)
For the Tai Xuan Emperor, the things that fall into the category of rare metals and minerals are natural resources—that have been soaked in the natural energies of Heaven and Earth, over the passage of many years.
In other words, they are the perfect type of materials to use for crafting magic treasures.
As for what falls into the category of natural energies of Heaven and Earth, it’s energy that is akin to spirit Qi; essentially, it is energy that can be used by practitioners to cultivate.
………
Inside the dreamscape—
“C’mon, there’s got to be something in this big collection…”
Looking back and forth—between the two projection screens, the Tai Xuan Emperor can’t help but grind her teeth together.
Eventually—
………
(Stop!)
Hearing the Tai Xuan Emperor calling out to him, Long Hua raises an eye beneath his helmet, and asks—
“This it?”
(Get a closer look at it.)
What is being looked at—via Long Hua’s divine senses, is a white metal ore with blue veins scattered throughout its body.
In terms of size, the ore is one and a half feet in length, with a maximum width of eight inches.
(Look inside it.)
Pressing his divine senses further into the ore, Long Hua sees a complicated network of blue-colored veins, to which, the Tai Xuan Emperor says—
(This is a 100-year-old cold spirit ore.)
“How many pulls is it worth?”
(Under normal circumstances, not much. But judging by what I’m seeing from your doll’s side, I doubt you’d be able to find anything that great in this world. I guess by this world’s standards, it’s worth a ten-roll? Ai, *-laoban, if you have the time, you really should study up on rare metals and minerals. You did get a textbook guide on this subject—during your previous rolls, if I recall.)
“If I have the time.”
Just as the two are conversing—
*Vrrroooooom!* the sound of a loud engine approaches Long Hua’s location, and turning his attention towards the direction its coming from—
“…?”
Moving towards the aircraft is a metallic red sports car.
Due to its absence of a roof, the vehicle falls into the convertible category.
The headlights of the car are shaped like Vs, and with its many sharp edges, the vehicle is definitely a head-turner when parked on a roadside.
*Scrrriiii!* as the flamboyant sports car comes to a screeching halt, its scissor door opens—revealing an interior that is wrapped mostly in black leather with red accents.
“…”
Getting out of the car is a young lady with long crimson hair that reaches pass her knees, and is split down the middle.
Attire wise, the young lady is dressed in a large black jacket with a pair of dark pants. Beneath the jacket, she wears a white halter top.
Approaching the young lady is a worker, and towards the former, the worker says—
“Mò-lǎobǎn (墨老板), I wasn’t aware that you’d come by personally.”
It’s not uncommon for an employee of Lan Si Restaurant to drop by—to inspect the auction items, during their arrival. However, what is uncommon is for the proprietress to show up, and conduct the inspection herself.
Shrugging a shoulder, “Mo-laoban” replies—
“Felt bored, so I came out for a drive, and volunteered for the task. So, this is everything for the day?”
“Yes. Do you wish to take a closer look?”
“Hmm.”
With a bored look on her face, the one called Mo-laoban ignores the worker, and moves towards the aircraft.
Entering its cargo hold, she stops by the side of a medium-sized crate, and upon her turning her attention to it—
(Tch.)
Long Hua inwardly clicks his tongue.
“…”
Without saying a word, Mo-laoban effortlessly tears the crate’s upper panel off.
“Oh?”
Reaching down, and lifting the cold spirit ore with one hand, Mo-laoban’s amber-colored eyes give off a lustrous shine.
As the worker approaches her, Mo-laoban, who is still staring at the ore, says—
“This item is highly valuable; I’ll be taking this one back personally.”
“Noted.”
Realizing what is about to happen—
(*-laoban! Hurry up, and do something! You can’t just let that bitch take it away!)
“Tian Cheng, rendezvous with me as soon as possible!”
[Understood.]
Following Tian Cheng’s reply, Long Hua breaks into a run.
And within the blink of an eye, he enters the cargo hold with Shui Yue fully drawn.
