Ch. 30 [Blood Moon] Higher Ones

Ch. 30 [Blood Moon] Higher Ones

Everyone in the room was shocked to see their appearance, and they all bowed before them.

(The Emotionless) - I heard that someone wanted to be my apprentice, step forward.

*Step*

*Bow*

(Anais) - My name is Anais, master.

(The Emotionless) - Is it true what happened between you our fellow chosen one?

The intimidating look of The Emotionless, almost made Anais tell the truth, but once again, she bit her tongue and started crying.

*Sob*

(Anais) - Yes.

(The Emotionless) - I will take care of you my child, and protect you from the wrongdoings of those who are tempted by the evil.

*Kneeling*

(Anais) - Thank you, master!

*Murmuring*

*Loud thud*

(The Guardian) - And what about you young man, is it true?

*Trembling in fear*

(Sol) - Yes- Yes.

(The Guardian) - Then I shall not let you down, and show you the real path.

*Everyone was silent*

*Stomp*

(The Berserk) - I.. Smell. . . Fear. . .

(The Seer) - On who?

*Point*

(The Emotionless) - It is only natural that they are scared.

*The Berserk shook his head*

(The Berserk) - No. . . Fear. . .

The Berserk was not able to say the whole sentence or explain to everyone what he felt, but it was the fear that their plan would not work.

(The High Priest) - May I add something, related to our research of black magic?

(The Seer) - We should vote.

(The Emotionless) - No need to vote, go on.

(The High Priest) - There might be a hole in the barrier protecting the black magic section.

(The Guardian) - Impossible!

(The Emotionless) - Silence! Do you have any proof?

The High Priest goes into the middle of the room and takes out the cursed tome.

(The High Priest) - This is a book that I have previously not seen, and my former apprentice found it lying in the black magic section.

(The Mirage) - Is this a joke?

(The Clairvoyant) - How can a book be in the black magic section without your knowledge?

(The High Priest) - That is what I tried to find out.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

(The Seer) - Is there any risk of this book being related to the previous events?

(The High Priest) - I suspect it does.

(The Emotionless) - Why do we only find out about it now?

(The High Priest) - I was unsure of the provenience of the book.

(The Emotionless) - The Guardian will look into this matter as soon as the meeting is over.

*Nod*

(The Silver Ash) - What about the research of black magic?

(The High Priest) - We made no progress in such a short time, we were not enough people.

(The Mist) - More people will not solve this situation faster.

(The Truth) - Unless. . .

(The Emotionless) - I will not allow any more people to get involved with The High Priest for the time being.

*Grabs Anais shoulder*

(The Emotionless) - Do you think you and The Guardian apprentice can take the lead on the black magic?

Anais looked at The Emotionless in disbelief.

*Anais shrugs*

(The Guardian) - Since I will need to strengthen the barriers in the black magic section, I could join them for a while.

(The Silver Ash) - I will send a few of my apprentices as well.

(The Clairvoyant) - Me as well.

(The Emotionless) - Everyone will send at least one apprentice to join the black magic research, if what The High Priest said is half true, this could get out of control very quickly.

(The Berserk) - Me. . . Too. . .

(The Seer) - What about The High Priest?

(The Emotionless) - He will be punished for his wrongdoings, but right now we should look into the black magic matter.

(The Emotionless) - This will be all for now.

*Step*

*Vanish*

The high ones vanished and the rest left the room. The Seer and The Silver Ash took Anais and Sol to their new rooms. The next day Sol was woken up by The Guardian and they both went to the black magic section in the library.

(The Guardian) - Show me where you found the book.

*Step*

*Step*

(Sol) - Here. We looked around, but there was no book missing from their place, and yet the book fell from the shelf.

*Looks around*

(The Guardian) - I do not see anything out of the ordinary.

(Sol) - What about the barrier?

*Wave his hand*

After The Guardian waved his hand the barrier appeared above the shelves. Above the shelf that the book fell from, a black dot appeared.

(The Guardian) - Hm. . .

(Sol) - What is that?

(The Guardian) - I doubted The High Priest, because of what happened, but this might be the cause of the book.

(The Guardian) - Something broke the barrier, but it is too small.

(Sol) - How did the book fit through that?

(The Guardian) - Anything can fit through that little hole.

*Shocked*

The Guardian started to chant the spell to repair the barrier, but the hole became bigger.

(The Guardian) - What is happening?

(Sol) - I have no idea.

The hole grew bigger and bigger until the whole barrier over the black section broke.

(The Guardian) - This is bad!

*Step*

(The Guardian) - Stop everyone from entering the area, and go tell someone to contact The Emotionless.

Sol started running and told the guards to forbid anyone from entering. When he got to the hallway The Seer was passing by.

*Huf*

*Puf*

(Sol) - Can you contact The Emotionless?

(The Seer) - What happened?

(Sol) - Things got bad in the library.

(The Seer) - Isn't The Guardian there?

(Sol) - He told me to notice The Emotionless.

(The Seer) - This sure is bad.

The Seer and Sol hurried to The Emotionless Room, but he was not there. When they turned away Anais was walking through the hallway.

*Yell*

(Sol) - Anais!

(Anais) - What are you doing here?

(The Seer) - Do you know where is The Emotionless?

(Anais) - He said he had something to attend to.

(Sol) - Where?

(Anais) - I think he mentioned something about the gate.

(The Seer) - I will go, you remain here and explain to her what happened.

*Step*

*Step*

Sol told Anais what happened in the library and they wanted to go and tell The High Priest as well. But they knew that if they met with him and anyone would see them their cover would be blown. They went back to the library and when they entered they saw the guards passed out.

(Sol) - What happened?

(Anais) - You think that something might have got out from there?

(Sol) - Let's hope not.

*Step*

*Step*

*Thud*

The Guardian fell right before their eyes covered in wounds. They panicked and started running away. There were tremors in the church and everyone felt them, not knowing about what happened in the library. The Silver Ash saw Sol and Anais running away and stopped them. They could not find the words to explain what happened, what they had seen, and continued running. The Silver Ash triggered the alarm and all the chosen ones along with their apprentices gathered at the entrance to the library. The Emotionless put up a temporary barrier around the library.
