Herro stepped out of the black SUV like the ones they had ridden to the Peacecraft mansion in and into the street outside of a well-lit, well attended club. He glanced down the line of people wanting to get into the club and whistled a bit.
“Is it really this busy?” Herro asked, playing with the edges of the fitted vest.
Razor shut the door behind them and looked down the line, “No. It’s not. It’s mostly a ploy to make it look busier.”
“Huh,” Herro raised an eyebrow and glanced at him, “What’d you mean?”
“Okay. So this is what most people expect when they want to go to a nightclub. The line stretching out with a bouncer letting so many people in at a time. It makes it look prosperous and all that.
“So,” Razor continues, starting to walk closer, “A good third of the line is actually employee and will go in, stay a bit, come out the back and get back in line. Decent way to make a buck wouldn’t you say?”
Herro nodded, “Actually it wouldn’t be bad.”
As they got to the velvet roped gate, the crowd started to ooh and ah as Razor went by. A lot of the women, and plenty of the men, asked to see him inside. He turned and waved to applause he softly pushed Herro towards the door.
He gave a final bow as he followed Herro into the dimly lit hallway leading to the door. Herro gave him an odd look, “And you get that wherever you go?”
“No,” Razor shrugged half-heartedly, “Mostly places like this.”
“Sounds like a hassle, glad I don’t have to deal with it. You have my deepest sympathies.”
Stepping into main room of the club, Razor chuckled, “Just find yourself a seat. I’m going to run to the bathroom.”
“sure,” Herro watches as Razor deftly darts through the crowd. Shaking his head he slips into an empty table in a corner and watches the crowd.
“Hiya brother-dear,”
Herro spins towards the voice, and sees Tsukiko dressed in a very tight body contouring dress, slit up one hip and ending just above her knees. He shook his head thinking it was too scandalous except for the fact that it was one of the most conservative ones in the club.
She slips into the booth, smoothing her skirt under her as she sits, “So tell me, where is this scrumptious piece of eye candy y’are supposed to have come with?”
“What?” His eyes narrow, “How did you know I’m supposed to be with anyone?”
“I have my ways hon,” She fishes her phone out of a clutch and taps it on. She swipes a few times and flips it so Herro can see the screen.
The screen showed her text messaging app with … oh god. Hotness incarnate as the contact name. He moaned as he read through the messages.
Hotness – “Good afternoon Miss Maxwell. This is a friend of Herro’s, and I need ask you a couple questions.”
If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
Tsukiko – “-.-, not likely. Herro doesn’t have any friends.”
Hotness – “Well that is a disappointment. I will propose a rebuttal, how do I know about Herra, a form he keeps pretty well hidden from public, if I don’t know him?”
Herro groaned deeper as he flicked his eyes up to his sister, noticing her makeup was heavier than he was used to seeing on her, “So where did this name come from?”
“Keep reading suga’, he’ll tell ya. If it’s a he, it seemed it.”
“I am sure he was when he text it.” Herro muttered before continuing to read.
Tsukiko – “Fine. What?”
Hotness(Definitely Razor Herro guessed) – “I would like to ask you to The Iceberg tonight. It’s a club downtown with a very cold look.”
Tsukiko – “LOL, It’s the Iceberg. I would be surprised if it was themed with a warm look.”
Razor – “Very true. I shall be willing to pay for entire night, and a new dress if you need one.”
Tsukiko – “I guess. How will I know you, I don’t even know your name.”
Razor – “You can enter my information as Hotness Incarnate. As to my real name, I will tell you when I see you. ;)”
Tsukiko – “How will I know who you are?”
Razor – “Just look for the person with the longest purple hair in the club.”
Razor – “Till tonight my dear Moon Goddess.”
Herro handed her phone back, “Gag me now.”
“Oh stop,” Tsukiko glanced around, “Now tell me if you know where this person is? Longest purple hair. I see a few Amazons with purple hair. So far the longest is down to the middle of her back. She however seems occupied.”
Herro followed Tsukiko’s line of sight and his eyes fell onto a woman, no woman was too humble a term. She put models to shame. She was gorgeous and something about her pulled at Herro. He shook his head and glanced at his sister, “Uhh what?”
“Oh? You like her? My brother is finally a man.” She grinned evilly.
“Shut it,” Herro glared at his sister, “No that’s not the one who I know texted you. Mid back is nothing compared to this one, but I really don’t think he’s the type of guy for you.”
Tsukiko raised a perfectly arched eyebrow, “And why is that?”
“Well, he is hot as a girl, but,” Herro muttered, before continuing louder, “But He’s Amazon, they’re …”
“Mom is an Amazon.” Tsukiko said, “So you’ll have to do better than that.”
Herro put his hand on his shoulder covering the tattoo he had covered up by both the sleeve of his shirt and by makeup, “Fine he’s just, I dunno.”
“Sexy, hot, a good lay?” A new voice came from the opposite end of the table.
Both people spun to see Razor sitting at the table, three shot glasses of amber liquid in front of him. He smiled at Tsukiko, “Oh you are beautiful.”
“And you are?” She asked, as he flips his braid over his shoulder, it disappearing below the table, “Hotness Incarnate?”
He nods as he pushes the drinks to each of the others, “That’s only one of my names. I normally go by Razor Peacecraft.”
Tsukiko’s eyes get wide and she almost coughs up her drink before managing to swallow, her eyes tearing up, “Peacecraft? Like the royal family Peacecraft?”
“That’d be us, yeah,” He said, calmy drinking his own drink.
“I was in the palace,” Herro said with a smug grin on his face.
Tsukiko looked at Herro with narrowed eyes, “Your point? It’s a building, I’ve been in a lot of them suga’.”
Herro sneers, “Still closer than you’ve ever gotten.”
“I am gonna hurt you boy,” Tsukiko snaps and glares at her brother.
“Now, Now Ladies,” Razor sighs and holds his hands out, lowering them down. He grins as Herro trains an icy stare at him, “Let’s just get along,”
Herro grumbles under his breath, “I’m not a lady.”
“Ya never are luv,” Tsukiko says softly.
“Enough!” Razor’s voice cuts through as Herro opened his mouth to reply. Both look towards him, Herro still with mouth agape. Razor takes a deep breath and uses one finger to shut Herro’s mouth, “Okay you two lets solve this.
“Herro,” He looks directly at the other male, “Go mingle. We did come here to get you a lay for tonight at the very least. Almost any will at least talk to you if you drop my name. Just say I’m a friend and if they need any more I’ll come help.”
“But,” Herro starts
“Now.” Razor’s green eyes glint darkly as he stares at Herro, “Just me here talking with you will probably get you a few girls even as you walk away from the table.”
Herro shivered a bit and downs his drink before standing. His eyes water as he looks at the pair, “Yeah I’ll go … over … here.”
Razor watched Herro walk away and turned back to Tsukiko and smiled.
