Chapter 49: The Braekuhr
?????: “RELEASE ME AT ONCE!”
Iris: “Master, can I pleas-”
Nathan: “For the final time, you can’t launch her into orbit.”
The girl continued to flail about, as she was floating midair due to Iris. Iris beg Nathan over and over to send the girl into orbit, however Nathan refused every time.
Iris: “She hit you in the face.”
Nathan: “The door hit me in the face.”
Iris: “Because she struck the door.”
Nathan: “Because she thought, I was the one who put her in that cage.”
Iris: “Even so, she didn’t even try to listen to your explanation, as she attacked you over and over.”
Nathan: “Well, if someone locked you in a cage and try to sell you off to some stranger, if you had a chance to get out, would want to sit around talking?”
Iris: “I-I can’t say I would.”
Nathan: “However, I won’t be to heartless to you, Iris, why don’t you take her for a spin.”
Iris: “Spin?”
Nathan motioned his finger in a circle, it took a second, but she understood.
??????: “PUT ME DOWN, PUT ME, huh, WAAAAAAAAAH!?”
Iris begin to spin the girl about, in all random direction, she was twirled and flung about. At some points, Nathan would lose track of her.
??????: “STOOOOOOOOOOP PLEASE STOOOOOOOOOP!”
Nathan: “Keep it up Iris, until she’s ready to talk.”
Iris: “Gladly.”
Anais: “What are you doing?”
Nathan: “Anais, did you finish?”
Anais: “Yeah, the terrain is back to normal and Iris threw those cages in the woods.”
Nathan looked over the area, as Anais said, all the craters had been filled in. Nathan let loose some seed, that grew and recover the area in flora.
Nathan: “Good we’ll be long gone, before anyone arrives.”
Anais: “I thought someone would have arrive, due to all the quakes she caused.”
Nathan: “Quite the contrary, they’d probably sit and wait it out far away, the people that Iris felt approaching will probably not show up for a while.”
Anais: “Good, then let’s get the hell out of here, what are you going to do with her?”
Nathan: “That’s a good question.”
???????: “PLEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEE STOOOOOOOOOP, I FEEL SIIIICCCCKKK!”
Nathan: “Okay Iris, that’s enough.”
Iris: “Understood.”
Iris let the girl back to the ground and she immediately collapsed. Iris looked satisfied.
Nathan: “Feeling better?”
Iris: “Much better.”
Nathan walked over to the girl on her knees, trying to regain her equilibrium.
Nathan: “Hey, are you ready to talk, or should we shake things up agian?”
Anais: “Lame.”
Nathan: “Oh, shut up.”
??????: “J-Just give me a second.”
Seeing her face, Nathan quickly stepped back.
Anais: “What’s wrong?”
Nathan: “Don’t look.”
Anais: “Don’t look at-
??????: *Vomit*
Anais: “Aww, Gross!
Nathan: “I said, don’t look.”

?????: “Ughhhh.”
Nathan: “This wouldn’t have happened if you had just listened.”
Nathan handed her some water, which she snatched out his hand, prompting a reaction from Iris. She flinched, but Nathan quickly calmed Iris down.
Nathan: “So, first could I have your name?”
???????: “Traditionally, when asking someone’s name, you say yours first.”
Iris lifted her off the ground.
???????: “OKAY, OKAY!”
Nathan: “Iris.”
Iris let her back down to the ground, quickly risen to her feet and dusting herself off.
???????: “It’s Ena, Ena Braekuhr.”
Nathan: “Well, Ena, I’m Nathan Lowell, this is Anais and Iris. I’m sorry about what happened to you, but, I wasn’t me one who did this to you.”
Ena: “……….I-I knew you weren’t, the group of five I saw your fight with them.”
Nathan: “You did, through that cloth?”
Ena: “You can’t see in, but I can see out?”
Anais: “Then why attack us, if you knew we weren’t with them, you could have run away like the other girl?”
Ena: “I don’t believe I had any chance of escaping this man. The way you fought, battling those people. It was like you weren’t even trying, you even ended the battle without any bloodshed.”
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Nathan: “Then you know I wouldn’t have hurt you.”
Ena: “I don’t know anything about you, you who suddenly appeared out of the forest, who took down a horde of monster and so easily bested a group of hunters, with absolutely no problem.
Anais: “You thought they were strong?”
Ena: “I’ve been their captive for a while, much longer than that other girl and I can assure you, those five are very capable.”
Anais: “Sounds like your praising them.”
Ena: “Not at all, I despise them with every fiber of my being, I just understand how strong they are. And yet you………… I figured that if I had any chance of escape, I would have to knock you out.”
Iris: “If that’s the case, if you were able to do such a thing, I would have swiftly Ended you.”
Ena: “Eeeek!”
Nathan: “Iris, please stop scaring her, so you’re a Therian?”
Ena: “What!?”
Nathan: “Your horns, like ram or something?”
Ena: “I am no Therian, I’m am a proud member of the Ogre Clan of the Rokaka Mountains.”
Nathan: “No way, you’re an Ogre, a real Ogre, I don’t believe it.”
Ena, was flabbergasted, Nathan denial seemed rude. Anais and Iris were a bit shock too, he surprised seemed a little harsh. He had done the same to Iris before, but the circumstances were completely different.
Anais: “That was rude.”
Nathan: “What?”
Iris: Master, I told, you shouldn’t deny someone’s existence.”
Nathan: “Huh……..ah, no, that’s not it.”
Ena: “Then what exactly, were you saying?”
Nathan: “I’m just surprise just how beautiful you are.”
Ena: “WHA!?”
Nathan: “Yeah, you’re really pretty, the Ogre of my world, don’t do you justice at all.”
Ena: *Bluuuuussssssh* S-s-s-silence you fool, have you no shame, trying to woe a woman you just met?”
Ena put her hands to face, attempting to hide it and the goofy smile decorating it.
Anais: “Wait, I thought you said nothing like us existed in your world.”
Nathan: “Not a real Ogre, I was referring to books, you all exist in my world as fantasy.”
Iris: “Then what did the Ogre of your worlds fantasy look like, were they pretty as well?”
Nathan: “Gawd no, they were Fat, beer bellied, baby barf green-skinned, rock eating, saggy faced, buck tooth, loincloth wearing, yahoos. Plus, they were ugly.”
Anais: “TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL!”
Iris: “Master.”
Nathan: “But don’t worry, you look nothing……… huh, where’d she-”
Before Nathan could finish, his reflexes took over, leaping out the way moments before Ena came crashing down.”
Ena: “YOU BASTARD!”
Ena begin chasing Nathan around, trying her best to smash him into the ground, until Iris finally decided to stop her.
Nathan: “What took you so long?”
Iris: Anais, said to give it a minute.”
Nathan: “Since when did you, listen to Anais? And you, I almost died.”
Anais shrugged off Nathan’s complaints. He turned to Ena who sat on the ground, exhausted.
Nathan: “Alright, you free now, you can go back home or whatever.”
Ena: “Then, I’ll be on my way.”
With that she bowed and swiftly walked away, but not far from them she suddenly stopped.
Nathan: “What’s wrong?”
Ena: “……………Do you know where we are?”
Nathan: “Huh, we’re on a road leading to Loegrey.”
Ena: “Ah, I see thank you very much.”
Ena put her hand to her chin, she looked like she was contemplating something and then Nathan figured out what it was.
Nathan: “Hey, could you possibly be lost?”
Ena: “W-What, o-of course not.”
Nathan: “Are you sure, I mean if you’ve been captured for so long, obviously you would end up in a place you know nothing about.”
Ena: “SHUT UP, I’M FINE, I JUST NEED TO GET MY BEARINGS.”
She continued down the path in a huff, she didn’t won’t to admitted, but she had absolutely no idea where she was or even how to begin the trip home. She was without a doubt lost.
Nathan: “……………(Sigh) Hey.”

Iris: “Master, we’re here.”
Nathan looked off into the distance, in front of the was a marvelous city. From the large walls that surrounded the city, to the castle they stood, towering over all others, it was something right out of a story.”
Nathan: “Amazing.”
Iris: “Yes, it is breathtaking.”
Anais: “Well, let stop gaping and go already.”
Nathan: “Wait.”
Nathan took off his hood, revealing his face.
Anais: “What are you doing?”
Nathan: “Letting everyone see my face, so my existence is known.”
Anais: "Was this the plan?"
Nathan: "Yup, with all eyes on me, who would dare make a move?"
Iris: “What about me?”
Nathan: "You stay hidden, the last thing I won’t is for someone to get antsy and think they’ve hit the jackpot.”
Iris: “Understood.”
Nathan: “And Ena, uhm?”
Trailing far behind was Ena, making sure to keep her distance.
Nathan: “What are you doing?”
Ena: “Miss Iris, said I should walk this far behind, so as to not breath her “Masters” air.”
Nathan: “Uhn-huhn, well, when we get to the city, we can find out some information on how you can get home, you should be able to make it there with that, right?”
Ena: “Y-Yes, that should be enough.”
Nathan: “Alright then, let’s go.”
The short walked to town was awkward, having Ena walk so far behind like a stray .
Nathan: “Can’t you forgive her just a little?”
Iris: “I won’t, I honestly don’t understand why you decided to help her.”
Nathan: “It just a little, I won’t pry to deep, just some directions and maybe a map, to make up for the things I said.”
Anais: “So you did, understand you were in the wrong.”
Nathan: “I get it, I’ll apologize later.”
Anais: “Whatever, are you sure about helping her, last time you tried to stay away you got drawn in anyway.”
Nathan: “That’s because my secret was known, before I realized it was secret. Right now, absolutely no one except you two know, who I really am. As long as that stays hidden, it should be fine.”
Iris: “Well, I suppose.”
Anais: “Anyway, were here, you ready?”
Nathan: “Yeah, here it comes.”
As Nathan moved closer to the gate leading into the city, a crowd of people stood on the outside. They were waiting to get in, but there was kind inspection. The line was long most were chatting or counting inventory while they waited.
That all changed wants Nathan came closer, first it was one, then it was five, but soon all eyes were on him. Shock, disbelief, awe, these words described every single passerby. Nathan thought someone would say something, maybe someone screaming, but they just stared, as if they couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Anais: “Well, let’s go.”
Nathan made his way up to the front of the line, as if parting the waves, everyone stepped out of his way, as he walked. Nathan didn’t particularly like this, but Anais did, stepping in front of Nathan, to make it seem as though she was the one causing it.
Jacob: “Youngin, you made it.”
Nathan turned to see a familiar face waving him down.”
Nathan: “Jacob.”
Nathan strolled over to the old man waiting by the gate talking to a guard. As he moved closer, the face of the guards, was incredibly funny, but Nathan held back his laugh.
Jacob: “It’s about time you got here, I held up the line long enough. Hey guard, this is them, the ones I told you about.”
Guard: “…………………….”
Jacob: “Hey, you listening?”
Guard: “Y-Yes, your credentials are fine, your clear to p-passhed.”
The guard held his mouth after biting his tongue,as a dribble of blood, slipped out.
Nathan&Anais: "Pffftt!"
Jacob: “Watch it sonny, thats the only one you get.Everyone hop on.”
Nathan and everyone hopped on the cart and Jacob road on through.
Nathan: “You waited for me?”
Jacob: “Figured you be on your way, didn’t won’t the guards to stop you from getting in. I told you, not everyone is as open minded as me.”
Nathan: “Thanks for that.”
Nathan took a peek back, the guard whispered something to another, who ran off down a side street in a panic.
Jacob: “Psh, don’t think twice about it. So is everything alright.”
Nathan: “Yeah, it should be. What, you were worried about me?”
Jacob: “As if, I waited for ya, didn’t I. Knew the entire time, you were coming.”
Nathan: “Sure you did.”
Jacob: “Shut it.”
As Jacob, steered his carriage, the number of eyes increased as they came into the city. As if they had no control over their heads, everyone turned in Nathan’s direction.
Jacob: “You’d think you were royalty, you’re the center of attention.”
Nathan: “Yeah, I think the plan work a little too well.”
