The god and The Demon

Our story starts in a few decades after the year of 2020
During this time there had been lots of technological breakthroughs and the world went mad after one company discovered technology so powerful the entire world would bow down to it. This company was called limetech, and it was humanities hope. While all of the details are lost to time, we do know the events that would occur would cause the rules of existence to change drastically.
The company had the entire world in its hands, and quickly turned it into a futuristic wonderland, anything your mind can think of. It colonized the entire universe barely a few centuries after its creation. The leaders always stayed the same, enjoying the privilege of being immortal after a breakthrough in biology, but enough about them. As I was saying, this company was dedicated to improving technology, and their goal was to make something with the power to change reality itself. While that’s a story of its own, the only things you need to know are that it succeeded, and it cost them nearly everything. Their experiment gave two people power, one became a god, the other became a demon. The god was omnipotent, and omniscient, but had grown up loving all the same things as you or me. You name it, video games, comics, anything, he loved it. The demon was the same, the two had been together, in love, and still were, even afterward. The problem though, is that the demon received power as well, as you would expect. However the power the demon received was far less powerful than the god, it had been broken, crushed and corrupted. By no means was it weak, the power was enough to rule within our reality forever. The demon became angry, slowly losing itself in its madness, caused by side effects from the experiment. The god who had been by the demons side had watched as his love lost herself. While he was omnipotent and omniscient the god had different beliefs and rejected his omniscience, using it only when needed. The omnipotence the god obtained was indeed true omnipotence, anything he wanted would happen however he wanted it to. He could do anything but the one thing he wanted to do. He couldn’t save his other half. Eventually the demon went completely mad, and started to commit atrocities for enjoyment and satisfaction. The god couldn’t watch, so he tried to do something, anything. But his power wouldn’t work on the demon how he wanted it to. The first attempts caused only pain to the demon, and there was no knowledge to help the god with his wife’s madness. He had to give up, but he wouldn’t just watch as the demon tortured and slaughtered for fun. There was only one thing that the god could do to stop the demon, and that was to put them both into a long slumber. It was too late, however. The demon had destroyed the world, and the god had changed how reality itself worked, shattering and breaking it. Earth was split into infinite dimensions, each one completely different from the other. Existence eventually settled down, into where we are today.

This story has become the basis for every religion that is currently in this reality. This is the only official version of the story, and has been heavily edited.
