The next morning finds Nyesha trying to heat her dried rations with lightning. Short burst of electricity, with limited and often burnt bits of success. Crawling out of her own burrow with a pack of her own Freyah joins her, wincing her nose at the smell of burnt sausage. "What are you doing ?"
"Learning to reheat left overs with lightning." Nyesha answers, "It's harder than I thought it would be." Freyah comes around and squats in front of the naked halfling. "What do Halflings call themselves ?" she ask curiously, "Hin" is her answer. "Hen ? Like a chicken ?" Looking up from her 'cooking', "No Hin, with an I, the chicken version is spelled with an E and that’s a female chicken to boot." Freyah nods, not understanding but just accepts it. She digs through her bag and tosses a long silver-grey shirt to Nyesha, "Here, so you don't freeze or something. Or at least so you stop flashing those giant breast of yours at me." Nyesha looks it over then puts it on. "Thank you. I don't feel heat or cold much anymore, part of the weather powers I think. But the not walking around completely naked part is nice." she says as she buttons up the slightly to large shirt. It comes to her knees. Freyah looks her over, "It suits you somehow." Nyesha nods, "I take it that it's something you scrounged ?"
Freyah shrugs, "Why do you say that ?" She holds up a cuff with blood on it, "Call it a hunch." Freyah grins, flashing her fangs "oops." then laughs, "Well it's not like he needed it any more. But I did not kill him. He was dead when I found him, something caved his head in. I just helped myself to his stuff and any blood left in him, which was not much." she shrugs. The hin woman, sitting on her cloak, shrugs, "I am not judging. You are how you are and we hin are a practical bunch. Even the crazy ones like me who wander around aimlessly."
The Immortal snorts, "You are the least crazy person I have met in a while. Besides Practical is a good thing. One does what one has to in order to survive. I had to learn that the hard way. By the way do you know any woodland skills ?"
"I can fish if I had a pole and bait, wait … I can fish, don't need to pole anymore, a net would be nice though. I know a tiny amount about tracking, some rumor about certain kinds of moss only growing on the north side of tree's but I don't put much trust in that. I can find the north star at night. I know what the weather will be like for up to 3 days, provided someone does not alter it. I can cook, I can build a fire, specifically for cooking."
She nods, "Ok why don't you need the pole anymore ?" The little woman looks up and smiles ferally, "Lightning, hit water with it and it stuns all nearby fish, which will then float to the surface. Then it is just a matter of gathering up the ones you want in the minute or so they are stunned." Freyah nods, "Makes sense. Ok, I don't eat fish. I tried it once and it was just nasty" makes a major ick face. Nyesha nods, "Not my first choice either. My dad loved fishing so we learned to fish. I prefer birds myself. Chicken, or the like but I am a city kid, all the birds I ever cooked someone else had killed, plucked and gutted. So I don't know how to do that. So it's rations and any nuts, fruits and such I find for the near future. I know a little about foraging, but not a huge amount. I am fortunate that we Hin are resistant to most poisons. Especially the natural kinds." Freyah nods, "That is a good trait." she agrees.
Freyah decides to let her in on a secret, "Um, just so you know. I can't cross running water. I mean like fording it. I sink, straight in to the earth under the water. If the water is deep enough it will go over my head and I will be there forever more." Nyesha looks up and eyes go wide, "Well that sucks. So boats are a real scary thing then ?" lots of nodding, Nyesha nods, "Ok well if we have to I will carry you then." Freyah nods, "Thank you for understanding. I used to Love to swim when I was human. But now." she shivers, "I got stuck in a foot of water once, my feet sank in and I almost could not walk. It's like the earth was trying to suck me in to it." she wraps her arms around herself. Nyesha gets up and comes over and hugs the other woman from behind, "It will be ok. I can swim and I will do my best to protect you from such things, ok ?" Freyah catches her arm, "Thank you. As you can imagine it's not something we share easily." Nyesha nods and tries to retrieve her arm, "Can I have my arm back." Freyah is sniffing her arm, "Freyah, don't make me zap you." Freyah sighs and lets go, "You smell like a spring shower. It's a nice smell that does not inspire my hunger. That is rare for me and I just did not want to let go of that." Nyesha smiles, "Well I am happy for that at least. But you scared me for a moment there. I don't want to hurt you, but please warn me before latching on like that again." Freyah nods, "Right, I guess. Well that was the first hug I have had since my maker lost interest in me and left me on my own in a place where I knew no one. Which I learned he did on purpose. He had allies, I had nothing and no one and was driven out."
Nyesha sighs, "Assholes exist everywhere it seems." Freyah laughs, "Yes they do."
"What does a spring shower smell like ?" Nyesha ask, trying to sniff herself, which did not work. Freyah looks thoughtful, finger on chin, "Hm, for me, fresh air, light sent of flowers and the first wet air of the season. It's nice and really hard to put in to words." she ends up shrugging, "Though I think I like that you don't smell like food. Or burnt sausage." she added on a laugh. Nyesha looks at the sausage and sighs, "It does not taste much better as charcoal as it does 'fresh' but it's all I got beyond these cracker like things." she holds them up. "Those" Freyah tells her, "are hard tack. They have almost no flavor but at least keep you alive." Nyesha looks at them, "I wonder if alive is worth it with these as food." Freyah gives her a look, "want to trade, I will eat that, you run down a human and drink their blood."
Nyesha actually looks like she is considering it then shakes her head, "Not at this point in my life. I am still young and got another good 80 or so years before I may want to stop aging." Freyah laughs, "Good answer as any."
"So, any idea which way to go today ? Other than random south that is." Nyesha ask.
Freyah shakes her head, "Not really. I know where a village of sorts is, but there is one like me there, playing God and all. He told me to leave and never come back or else." she shrugs.
Nyesha thinks, "Ok let's go there. I need more supplies and may be able to get some there and maybe directions to. If he gets in the way, well " does the Vulcan Hand sign with a Jacob latter zap between the fingers. "I can welcome him in to the afterlife." she says with a scary happy smile.
Freyah cracks up, "You have a very versatile face and can make some strangely scary but funny faces." Nyesha shrugs, "I have talents I have yet to find. So let's go looking for them. Also hope to find something better than this sausage. Ick."
Freyah stops Nyesha from just leaving by fixing her cloak with a few well-placed ribbons and strips of old cloth. "There now you won't trip over it so much." the Immortal states. Nyesha moves a bit smiles and does a little twirl with a gust of wind and it stays in place Much better, "Thank you. So, which way ?" Freyah shakes her head and heads out, heading east. "It's maybe a day or so' walk, well for me, your slower."
Nyesha grins, "I can always fly if I have to." Freyah stops dead, "You can FLY ?" she ask incredulously.
Nyesha holds out her cloak and a whirlwind forms Just around her, lifting her in to the air, "Wind manipulation. Actually learned this from a weather witch. She flies this way." Freyah stands there with her mouth just hanging open, "ok now I am really jealous." Thinking carefully, Nyesha holds out her hand to Freyah, who without thinking takes it. At first very little happens as Nyesha tries to work out how to carry someone else with her, then the wind spirits get what she is trying to do and help lift the immortal free of the earth and push them in the direction they need to go. Freyah's reaction is to wrap her arms and legs around the tiny woman and hang on for dear life.
Nyesha manages to barely get the Immortals arms around her chest instead of head and neck, "Need to see and breath thank you very much." She huffs.
It takes a little while for the Immortal to let up enough to let go with her legs then down to one arm, Nyesha says over the wind, "Keep one arm around me, otherwise you will fall." That's all the warning Freyah needs to do Just that.
From up here they see adventuring parties, prospectors, a destroyed farmstead, an over grown tower with demons living in the open top. (Just on principle Nyesha blasted them with lightning. 2 good shots and there were allot fewer demons in the world and one less tower.) Freyah laughed and told them to Burn in Hell.
Flying it only takes 2 hours to reach the town. Even so Nyesha lands well away from the gate. "I don't want to scare the locals. I did that one time and it did not go well." she explains. Freyah slowly nods and checks over her bag. She finds everything in order, but Nyesha's cloak came undone during the flight. The ribbons are long gone. They walk to the town. The path here is well trod with others coming and going. There are a few well-guarded wagons of food and other goods going in, adventurers and 'holy men' heading out. One group has a halfling in his number and he takes note of the unusually tall lady halfling, he breaks from his companions and jogs over to her, "Hello and well met cousin." Nyesha stops and looks at the little man, "Well met cousin. What brings you out to this fell land ?" The little man points to a pair of armored humans, "My friends needed a little help with an errand. Trying to breach a tower with no door on the bottom."
Nyesha nods, "That would not be an over grown tower back." she points in the direction of it. One of the men comes over, "Aye what of it ?" Freyah answers, "Not much left of it. It was full of demons, dozens of them. My friend used some magical device to blast the place with lightning. Made a nice demon bonfire out of it. Not one whit of treasure in the place either. Just lots of demons and dead bodies of people like yourselves." The man sighs and swears. He pulls out a map and shows it to them. It promises great wealth in the base of the tower. Nyesha sniffs the paper, "Demon blood ink. Nasty. This is a trap for the greedy. They love luring people like you with stuff like this. Only thing here though is a messy end unless you got some seriously good skills or formidable magics. I can't tell you how many skeletons and demons we have seen just on the way back from such a trap. All I got to show for it are 2 lousy silver." she digs them out. Old and black from age, "Lost all my clothes except for this cloak. She loaned me this shirt, else I would Only be wearing the cloak."
Freyah nods, "I came out here with a group. I lost all my gear but this bag and a few small items and most of this I scrounged from the dead to boot. I learned my lesson, I am going back south, there are safer places to explore than this demon haunted land." The second man, "So you two met on the trail then ?" Freyah nods, "When I first found her she was walking along with just a half empty pack a couple weeks of hardtack and that cloak. I saw her blast a demon to dust though, so I know she has some nice magic on her." Nyesha whispers to the little man, "She does not trust the gods so I let her think it's an item when it's really a little faith magics." the little man nods and winks. "Hard tack, really." he ask shivering slightly, "Well a nice dwarf prospector gave me some sausage. I think I rather eat the bag it came in though." she shows it to him and he makes a face, "Yak sausage, yes I think the bag would be tastier. No cheese ?" She shrugs, "There was some. I ate that in 2 days though. Only good thing in the pack he gave me. But it's hard to go wrong with cheese." he nods, "To true. Hard tack though. Sure you can eat it but." shivers, She nods, "Right, breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, tea, with no tea either mind you, and dinner, hard tack and this questionable sausage." he looks a little green. She nods again, "Hoping to resupply a little here, get something that looks and taste like real food." he nods, "Well there you're in luck, there is a hairfoot here with a small general store. He has some foods, clothing and tools. He's a Tooke and they are good merchants. It's a little more expensive than other places but you know it's worth it cause you know he has to have things shipped here special." she nods, "Oh that is good to know. Well cousin if you're bound to head out there I can give you a blessing for safety and fair weather if you want it."
He looks at his friends, "Well in either direction I think such a blessing would be appreciated." She smiles at him, "ok then." she puts a hand on his head and smiling intones in English, "By my gifts I wish this stout fellow and his companions good weather and safe journeying. May they return home in good health and wiser for their travels." she grins a little wide, "I added a little extra to the end of that, I hope it helps." He smiles, "Thank you cousin. I feel a little better already." she nods then hugs him, "Be safe cousin." she whispers to him.
He returns to his companions who are discussing what to do next even as Freyah returns to Nyesha, "You blessed him didn't you ?"
Nyesha looks up at her, "Hmm ?" Freyah shrugs, "I can kind of feel it. You put a blessing on him." Nyesha shrugs, "Just wished him a safe journey really." Freyah nods, "Yeah I can understand it. He is the first of your kind you have met since this all started isn't he." she nods, rubbing one of her amulets.
"Well he told me of a store with a halfling merchant, so I may be able to find clothing in more my size. And food. Not sure which is more welcome at this point." Freyah smiles and nods, "Yeah I understand that."
They head in to the town and wander about. Looking at the sights (such as they are) and eventually find their way to the Hin trader.
The ceiling is unusually high, 7ft, to accommodate the few humans or taller dwarves who come in to the long wide shop that is built in to the side of a hill. This day finds a traveling stout telling tales to a group of children (mostly halfling but a few human ones mixed in). The couple arrive at the end of the story of a Hin hero thief as he outwits a Lich by a combination of guile and trickery and a magic sword which stabs the lich in the back while the Lich is looking at the Hero. Nyesha stands at the back of the crowd, her cloak pulled around her, all hidden but a few wisp of hair and her ice grey eyes. She laughs heartily with the children and a few more 'adult' things that happen toward the end of the tale.

With the end of the tale the traveler bows to his crowd and calls for a break, to many disappointed awes. As he moves out from the children he nods to many of the store patrons who show appreciation of his skill in entertaining their children with a coin and a kind word.
Nyesha though moves away and toward the stores, looking for the clothing sections. Lots of cloth but few ready-made clothes are to be found, with the majority being 2cd hand and most are either too small or too large for her frame. She sighs at the lack of selection. She comments off-hand to a lass who is stacking clothing, "Being tall sure makes it hard to find ready-made outfits." the hin looks at her oddly, "For a human you're not all that tall." she states. Nyesha nods, "But I am a Hin, Tallfellow variety to be precise and even there I am tall for my kind." she explains. The girl then nods, "Well then yes, I can see your point." she smiles, "I am afraid we normally don't deal much in ready-made clothing, we sell cloth so most can make their own. But you look like you don't know how to do such." Sighing, "Sad but true. I just don't have the knack for it. I tried many times but all I get is something completely unwearable. For some reason I cannot sew in a straight line to save me. " the girl shakes her head, "I never ran in to that problem before. Everyone I know can sew at least enough to patch their own clothes." Nyesha nods, "Well seems I lack that skill, got bigger, stronger, but " shrugs. The girl shakes her head, "Wish I could help, but I don't know what to tell you." Nyesha nods, "I understand. Ok, no clothes here, so where is the important stuff, ie the Food. Been living on hard tack for the better part of a week. I do not recommend it if it can be helped." the girl smiles, "We have a lovely selection of cheeses and some trail mix of dried fruits and nuts my uncle makes." Perking up, "Oh that sounds lovely. which way ?" smiling the girl leads her over to a 'taller' older gentleman, "Uncle, this lady is looking for some food." he nods "Anything in particular ?" he inquires, "Well this lovely young lady mentioned you have many cheeses and a trail mix. I lost most of my provisions to demons and other pest on the road. As you can imagine, I am interested in anything that is not hard tack. " he nods smiling widely. "Actually we have some breads to. A lovely nut bread and something the humans call sourdough." Eyes Lighting up, "oh sourdough, I had a lovely recipe for that, onions, melted cheese and .. darn can't think of the word. type of red fruit, sort of looks like a tomato but " makes a hand size about 4 inches across, "Lovely stuff but I doubt it can be found locally. It's a more southern, tropical type fruit." he nods, "The rest sounded nice though." she nods, "Of course there is always a melted cheese sandwich to. Just sliced cheese, place butter on the outside of the bread, put it in a pan, butter side down, place cheese on it, then butter another slice place on top. When the bottom one is toasted, lightly is recommended, flip it over. When done the cheese should be nicely melted and the bread delightfully toasted. Quite a tasty and easy treat to be sure."
He licks his lips and smiles, "Sound delightful." she nods, "Cut in to quarters it makes a good snack for Tea time." he nods, "ah good thought. May have to try that." He takes her over to shelves in a cool section of the store and shows her the cheese they have. She sniffs them, ask intelligent questions and barters good naturedly and comes away with a couple of nice wheels and 2 of the round loaves of the humans sourdough bread. She also found some nice beef sausages and a cask of a mild but tasty mead. Their talk also helped her find out about a tailor shop that sells 'childrens' clothing that would fit someone of her statuesque figure.
While looking about she sees some 'glowing' items and ask about them, "What are those ?" she points to the odd assortment of tools, cheap looking jewelry and weapons. "Ah we get a few adventurers through and being the soft hearted sort I sometimes buy things from down on their luck types, or trade of food or other goods. I sell a few from time to time. But my wife, well she thinks I am soft in the head for doing that." Nyesha looks at him, "No offense to your wife but I think you have the right of it. Being soft hearted for the right reasons brings more blessings in the long run." He smiles, "Truthfully I have gotten a few magic items in the mix. But those I keep in a locked case. Well except for some simple items that are more amusement than useful you know. I got a vest for example that's only power is to make whoever wears it look poor. That one I am willing to sell for a single silver as no one wants it."
Nyesha smiles, "Can I see it ?"
"That desperate for clothing ? Sure why not." he takes her over to a closet with several items in it. Most are not in the best shape but still useable. "Ah the cheap stuff I take it ?" He nods, "Yes. Things brought back by travelers that are to stained or cheap to keep on the main floor. Most things in here are only a copper to no more than a silver for once fancy things." he explains.
"Well old saying, 'beggars shouldn't be choosers' and maybe I can find something I can modify for my use."
He nods then ask, "By the way, why the long cloak ?" She shrugs, "Had it all my life. It has interesting magic, it repairs itself from all damage, even burns and stains and dirt. So while it's overly long it never gets dirty." he grins, "Useful and at the same time not something most would think about for adventure wear."
He shows her the dusty old looking very patched vest. To her eyes it shows strong magic. trying it on it fits like it was made for her. It's color shifting to a pale grey. Mr. Took looks surprised, "It never did that before." She nods, "I think it has some other powers, or it's reacting to my Pristine Cloak. Crossing magics or something." He nods, "Think that can happen ?" She shrugs, "I am just guessing myself but anything is possible. Does go with my shirt now though." he nods, "True. Well it's still only a silver if you want it." she thinks and counts her money. Let's see, how many silver to a gold coin ?" He grins, "20 is the standard trade." she nods, "Thought so but sometimes I forget. ok let's see what else I can …" she spots a pair of matching swords in a barrel in a corner, "Why are those swords over there ?" he looks at them, "Matched set, very nicely made. Elven I think, but well they shock everyone who touches them. I think they got hit by lightning or something." She goes over and pulls one out. It’s a fine sword and does in deed spark, she smiles at it and pulls out the other one. Holding the tips an inch apart the blades arc electricity for a full minute then the energy fades and they are just pretty if unimpressive swords. "There, no more shocking. How much ?" he laughs, "ok for you, cause you did that, 10sp for both." she looks at him, "You got them for much less didn't you ?" He nods, "A little but I need to show a profit." she nods, "very well. Do you accept Electrum coins ?" He nods, "Yes though they are rare around here." she nods, "I got a few of those, found them on the trail. Well a warrior I met found this bag, he had no need for it and gave it to me for the price of a hug. Best deal I ever got. Anyway I got it and this purse was stuck inside the mess kit, had a few silver and electrum in it." he nods, "That was a good find then and a cheap price. Though I can understand it you are a very pretty woman. Almost as pretty as my Missus." she smiles at him and nods, "Thank you. Now I need to find a belt to hold up the swords." He grins, "That I can help you with, I have several." She looks over the selection and picks out a couple that will work for other things to. Then she heads back to the 'this and that' area and finds some shirts and a nice skirt with a faint stain on it. A pair of breeches for a child, and a couple of faded but nice shirts. She adds these to her pile. In the bottom of the wardrobe she finds 2 old very dusty bags. "Master Took, how much for these bags ? I found them in the bottom of this cabinet." he looks them over and shrugs, "A copper each." she nods and then goes back to looking. She stumbles across an item that as soon as she touches it she Knows what it is. She doesn't know How she knows but she does. She looks over this long black iron rod with several studs in its length, something inside her telling her it is a rare Rod of Lordly Might. She just barely keeps from squealing and adds it to her pile. Unfortunately he catches it and ask for 5gold for it. Sighing she puts it back. "It's a mace" he states, "And a good one, can't let that one go so easily though I do understand the attraction." She shrugs, "It's not a mace, it’s a retractable ladder." she points to a set of rune's and presses the stud next to them, it extends from floor to ceiling and arms pop out from the side, "See" he whistles. "Oh my. I can see why you wanted it now." she presses the next stud and everything retracts. "I would guess a long time ago it had more powers but the other studs are no longer functioning." she presses one to show, nothing happens, "So you can use it as a ladder or to pummel someone." he nods, "That is going in the magic item safe." he states, she sighs wistfully. "I understand the desire and I appreciate your honesty about it." she nods and he sorts over the rest of her purchases and she pays and bags everything up in her knapsack. Between items, food and drink she spent about 1 gold and 5 silver total. "Well you showed a bit of profit today at least." he nods, "And I thank you for your business to." She nods and stares wistfully at the Rod then turns and leaves, meeting a flushed looking Freyah outside. "Hey, you look better." Freyah nods, "Yes, found some good food and drink." Nyesha nods, "Here I got you this." hands her a cloak, long black and a little weathered. She takes it and holds it out, "Not sure if I should thank you or not." Nyesha pulls her along from the store, when they are away from it and interested ears, "That cloak is magic. But the shop keeper did not know it. I got it cheap cause of that. If I read it right it's a type of cloak of flight, when you need to it turns in to wings and allows you to fly." Freyah puts it on, smiling now. "Oh nice. Thank you. Find any other goodies." Nyesha nods, "Pair of enchanted swords, couple magic bags, and this vest which if I am correct I think I know what it is and it's a great deal more powerful than that fellow knew. But I will wait till we are outside town to test it. Now don't get me wrong, I did pay for everything I got, just not what they were really worth. Which is the point of bargaining and I did tell him about a couple nice items he had that I could not afford. So I don't feel Too bad about my deals." Freyah shakes her head, "You are a puzzle. Very nice, little amoral, but like doing good things for Some people over others."
She shrugs, "I saw him charge a visiting Traveler for telling stories in his shop. I don't hold with that as he did it After the fact instead of being straight forward with the Traveler to start with. Oh, I see your confused, Travelers are Hin bards, or the equivalent for us as Hin can't normally use magic beyond the priestly stuff." Freyah nods in understanding, "Ah you don't like his back handed way of handling things. Got it." The two make one last stop and overhear two men talking about Nyesha. They have their back to the women and don't realize they have been over heard.
Thug 1, "So after they leave town, we follow the little red headed woman to her camp and kill her and get her stuff, then return it to Tooke."
Thug 2, "Minus half her coin. He said she had a couple gold on her and some electrum to. So a good haul for us and he gets to sell that stuff again. Got to say this is a good thing he has got going for him and us."
Thug 1 "Yeah. My fear is she may have traveling companions, if that's the case we may have problems."
Thug 2, "Naw, she was seen coming in to town, only one sick woman who looked like death was already in her bones. They won't be any trouble."
The two move away and Nyesha sighs, "To bad you already ate." Freyah nods, "Yeah, though from the smell of the first one, he is sick."
"Not a problem really."
As they walk past a dark warehouse, a voice calls out to Freyah, "I thought I told you to leave my city bitch." Freyah freezes then looks in to the dark and see's the small evil man, "Just passing through Jar. Already on my way out."
Jar sneers, "You're going the wrong way bitch. Your kind has to go North you know that."
Nyesha moves toward him, "You want her you got to go through Me dark stalker." she snarls.
Jar laughs and sends out 4 tall muscled goons. "HA you small one, we crush you." one barks. She looks up at him then a blast of lightning strikes from the sky and reduces the lot of them to fine ash. Nyesha looks at the now surprised dark stalker, "You’re a fake god, I am Not." her eyes glow white and she sends a wind twisting in to the warehouse that grabs him and several more followers and rips them in to the late afternoon light. As Soon as 3 of them hit the light they start to burn and scream. A cloud tries to cover the sun but one look from Nyesha it quickly moves away, forming an O of sunlight with the false god and his cult at its center. Many stop and watch as the vampire and his 2 childer are consumed by the light till even their ashes are ashes. The two thugs are among the crowd.
Nyesha looks at Freyah, "And that is how you tell a true god from a false one. False ones tend to combust when exposed to the sun. Whereas we Real ones don't."
Freyah nods, "And that is 3 less infernal demons around to. I am still amazed at how many people will follow those demons on their false promises of power and such." The goddess nods, "Tell me about it. I really don't understand it myself. Well time to move on. Places to go, demons to slay." Freyah nods and the two leave unmolested.
Back at the store less than an hour later, "Mr. Tooke that girl you told us to watch for. Turns out she is a goddess. She used wind and lightning to destroy some demons that were hiding in town. They were the ones running that blood cult in the old warehouse. Her winds whipped in to the warehouse and pulled them in to the light, the clouds formed in to a perfect circle and focused the suns light right on them till not even their ashes were left." they report. He frowns, his wife, normally more blood thirsty than he, pales, "A real goddess. What was she doing here .. Oh husband do you think we offended her ?" He shakes his head, "Minor one if walking the world. Still not a good thing. Ok you boys should just leave her alone then. You don't have the power to take on one like her. Damn and she got that vest to. I make more money from reselling that self-fitting vest than almost anything else. For some reason Travelers are attracted to it like mad. Ah well." he sighs. On the plus side she identified a couple of items for him. That mace ladder is likely worth quite a bit of money. Maybe 10 or 20 gold. So not a total loss and a cloak in the box turning out to hold some kind of minor enchantment. Don't know how he missed it but it may be worth a fare bit of coin to. He looks at his niece, "Kate, where is my bag, the old one I kept in the kitchen. I could not find it this morning." Kate shrugs, "Last I saw Monty had it and a bunch of old bags. I don't know what he did with them though." Mr. Tooke rubs his nose, "That boy." he runs back in to the burrow, "Monty! Boy what did you do with the bag I kept in the kitchen ?"
The dull looking boy looks up from a bit of wood he is trying to carve, "I put them all in the cabinet with the old clothes. They were just cluttering the house." he says simply. Mr. Tooke takes on a panicked look. "You Fool! That bag was Magic." he runs out to the store and the cabinet and searches. All the bags there have holes or are ragged Except the one he wanted. The one with his spell books and magical devices in. He howls as if in pain. Then grabs up a weapon and heads toward the Burrow, his misses trying to stop him, "He didn't know, please he is our son." she begs but he is beyond reason. Fortunately Monty upon hearing the howl proved he is not completely stupid. He ran off and hid hoping his pa will forgive his latest mistake.
Once out of town, "So which way now, I think we can put a goodly distance before nightfall."
Freyah looks at her, then back toward the town and notices the small group following them. "So potential worshippers or left over's from the cult ?" Nyesha glances back, "Both looks like. Either way I have no desire to start a cult at this point. Rather move on, so Flying away is high on my list of things to do now. Just need a direction." Freyah shrugs, "The next town I know of is a month's journey from here. Well by walking. And well outside the frontier we are in now. Your way of travel I don't know how long it will take."
"Figure 40 miles an hour for our main speed where-as walking is about 4 miles per hour. So in 5 hours a human can walk 20 miles, while my flying covers 200 miles in the same time." Freyah stares at her, "I have no idea what you said just now."
"Ok, roughly by flying we can cover 10 days of travel in 1 day." Freyah's eyes slowly go wide and then she smiles, "So a trip that takes a month walking ?"
"Roughly 3 maybe 4 days my way."
Freyah slips an arm around her, just under Nyesha's arms. "Ok get on with the flying." Nyesha laughs and summons the winds, lifting them easily in to the afternoon sky. Much to the dismay of those following. (Some for revenge, some for hope of this new goddess.)
