The art of fucking with people!

The art of fucking with people!

With Mia’s help, we used some sort of thin grass as thread and I began sewing ‘bed sheets’ and ‘pillows’ together.

For needles… I just sharpened thin branches and created some toothpicks. Even I felt ashamed by the low level of technology and what I was supposed to improvise in order to make things happen. The good news is that when I told the girls that we might even be able to create clothes and shoes for them the soonest they learn how to create the same objects I did (and explained what clothes were) they furiously began sewing stuff together.

Progress made in Animal Husbandry research technology through discovery!

100 Research Points have been awarded!

Progress made in Trapping research technology through discovery!

250 Research Points have been awarded!

Well that’s something… However, I don’t even have those technologies available to research yet. Does that mean that I am not as restricted as Mia originally said I was? Can I create anything as long as I have the possibility of doing so myself and then teaching it to the elves?

“And if that’s the case, what would there be the thing that would profit my civilization the most at the moment?”

While wondering about that, I saw elves literally dragging fell trees or carrying them on their backs. Not only them though, it was the same with the other people from the mining squad…

“Of course! How could I forget something so basic!?”

[Michael, sir?](Random elf no4)

“Don’t mind me and continue working hard! I am expecting great things of you to produce! The things you people are creating will be used for us to sleep on. Make sure you do your best since our rest depends on you! Hahaha!”

[Yes sir!] (Random elf no4)

Leaving aside the hardworking girls and the dude that seemed really out of place visually, but verbally was definitely in the right spot, I headed towards the piles of wood where people kept bringing forward more and more trees. I wondered if it was possible to affect the environment by overdoing it, however Mia told me that the following day the trees that have been cut, will be back in the same position, due to the World Tree interference. We literally had an unlimited supply of wood!

[Master! Why have you called for me?](Mia)

“I’ve been thinking… have you seen the two notifications previously?”

[Yes…](Mia)

“I think is possible to build things outside the era we’re on and I’m planning to try out that theory.”

[…](Mia)

“Don’t look at me like you’re seeing a lunatic… I am planning to create some carts. In addition, for those, wheels are required. What do you think?”

[It… might work actually. Also it will be of huge help to the guys…](Mia)

“To the guys? Why? Don’t tell me… don’t tell me that they actually listened and they are doing THAT?”

[Was master the one that told them that they are supposed to protect the girls and take over the difficult jobs in their stead in order to impress them?](Mia)

“Maybe…”

[Leaving aside how chauvinistic that sounds master, the boys are overdoing it and while the girls don’t mind them overworking themselves, they are not going to last long at this rate…](Mia)

“Ahem… I will talk with them later. Anyway, let’s build some carts then…”

The plan was to first build up the parts, which I will later on assemble in front of everybody. Therefore, I began working alone in a spot near the World Tree for the entire day and once the sunset arrived, I was almost done.

[Michael, we managed to gather quite a lot of wood units today. According to big sister, we have enough for another 23 houses. Should we have them constructed?](A)

“Hey Alexa! Yup, give her the green to go! Also, before dinner gather all the elves here at my location. We’ll hold a late night lecture…”

[Does it have to do with the strange pieces of wood on your feet?](A)

“Yes! These will prove to be of great help to us!”

I was feeling extra proud due to a couple of things: one, I was better at sculpting than I originally thought and two, I literally just invented the wheel.

Also I only wasted one tree, but based on a couple of mistakes I made I estimated that from a single tree of the same size as the one I took, at least two carts could be built if no screw-ups are involved.

It was not a long wait and the elves gathered like penguins in a huge circle around me, carefully looking at the pieces of wood on the ground. I had Denise join me and announce to everyone else how she got a new Job and a new skill, also asking her to follow my instructions and assemble the foreign object which should heavily boost our current research progress. Soon enough…

Progress made in the Wheel research technology through discovery!

500 Research Points have been awarded!

Your civilization successfully researched the Wheel technology!

Current and future generations will be provided with the knowledge to craft and use it!

New Jobs available after reaching first Tier!

I left the job of explaining things to Mia about how the cart will benefit our civilization, while I took Denise aside and described with a big amount of details the process that lead to the creation of the cart.

“Do you have confidence in building one yourself?”

[I think so. Not only that, but after I assembled it following your instructions I was able to level up my Job. I’m currently at level 7…](Denise)

“That’s… amazing! I wonder if we can use that as a shortcut…”

[Shortcut? What should I cut shortly?](D)

“Don’t worry about it! What I need you to do is to grab at least nine more elves that might show interest in crafting and teach them everything you know. If they acquire the same Job as you within three days, you continue with them. For those that don’t, replace them with others. Your current goal is to have, with you included, 10 people capable of creating every tool required for our camp. Can you do it?”

[I will do my best!](D)

“Good girl! Go ahead and I’m waiting for good news soon!”

Now that I confirmed that my theory was working, I could simply push for the next level: metal casting! As long as I could create some proper weapons and some shields, dungeon diving would become much easier. However, for that, I need to create a proper stove… and before the stove, I could use some pottery.

“Aaaargh! Screw it! Mia, we’re going with pottery next!”

[Uhm… okay master…](Mia)

“…fine, we’re going with pottery tomorrow given that it’s already night. Let’s go get some food going!”

After dinner, Alexandra set up some sentries again and another 23 elven huts were assigned. Out of the original 75 I had planned out, 35 were already up and running, signifying a fast development of the camp. The problem was that for the remaining 40 houses I required 100 units of wood each, which brings me to four thousand units required. Then there is another 500 for the Granary, 500 for the Warehouse (the stone units are already sufficient for all required buildings) and on top of that another one thousand for the Wall.

Stolen novel; please report.

I am curious about how the other buildings will be completed, given that the elven houses just grew from the ground. Quite literally…

Once we entered the house that was appointed as being ours, I saw Mia and Alexandra carry some objects to the bedroom. To my utmost surprise, the bed was already made and the girls took pride in explaining how it became the oasis of comfort in front of my eyes.

First they gathered some grass from around the World Tree and they used it as a mattress (it was obviously Mia that had the idea), after which they used the bed cover made of deer fur to place it on top of it. As finishing touches the two pillows filled with feathers, which looked heavenly, were inviting any tired person to a night of good and relaxing sleep

Seeing that the atmosphere became awkward between Alexandra and me all of a sudden, I took the lead and climbed into bed after washing a bit outside. I swore to create a bathhouse as soon as possible!

Mia followed suite and not having another option, Alexa climbed up next to me as well. With one beauty on each side, I thought I should start practicing a Buddhist mantra once more for self-control.

“Honestly though, these girls are way too naïve! I am a dude you know… even if I wasn’t aware of it up to this point, I apparently still have sexual needs after becoming a pseudo-God! This is a rather happy-yet-unfortunate situation…”

Mia however took pity on me and left the system’s interface open. With something to keep my mind out of the current situation, I should somehow be able to make it to the morning without being imprisoned…

I brought the Civilization interface once more, ignored the Construction tab because there were no changes to it whatsoever and started playing with everything else insted.

Materials available 54 wood units 1231 stone units 236 food units (food is estimated to last 1 additional day)

With this I actually remembered that I needed to stockpile food for a couple of months at least, in order for elves to begin… mingling. For that, the Granary is necessary, so I will have it built next as soon as the elven huts are completed. The Wall will follow after.

In addition, the materials the elves managed to gather on a daily basis were between 1000-2000 units of wood, slowed down because they had troubles in carrying it back home. However now that the carts have become available, the output the forest will bring will surely increase. Obviously, the same will apply to the mining squad.

“Which reminds me… the first type of metal to be used in casting, was gold. In my case however, not only is that useless, but I might actually need something like iron, or copper, or other similar ores for weapons, equipment and other tools. I should ask Mia if there are any mines nearby that we can take advantage off.”

The next tab I began fully exploring was the Research one. The available technology was still the same one: Farming and Gathering.

The cost of it dropped due to the title I received as a pioneer and was currently worth only 1300 RP. The problem was that even with the breakthroughs I made with other technologies, I was still lacking a bit.

Research

Used to decide the technological advancement, it consists of multiple branching paths one can chose, each one belonging to a specific time.

Once a minimum of technologies have been researched, you can advance to the next era. Each era advancement will provide you with certain benefits.

Current technologies available for research:

- Farming and Gathering(1500 RP);

Current Research Points available: 850

Current Research Points growth: 209/day (assign people to researching a specific field in order to increase growth)

[Research…. Total points and shit… calculate properly based on prev]

"Let's see... since I was out for a couple of days and the research points production per day remained at 150, once I acquired Tools I was left with only 95 points. Then there were the breakthroughs which gave me 850 points due to them being major ones. Also now that I set it up as so, I have a total of 209 per day that I'm getting."

If there was something that was different, was the production per day. There was an extra 9 points beside what each elf provides on a daily basis and considering that myself and Mia didn’t count, I was unable to tell where the hell did they came from. Not that I was complaining, but obviously I would like to know so I can keep increasing the numbers.

“Since it’s not from the title I got and surely is not from myself or the technologies I made breakthroughs on, what the hell changed today? Before this day, there was the 200 RP/day at max, because I obviously have 200 elves…”

What surprised me was the blinking box for Great People. Usually that happens only when changes occur to a tab and I have not fully viewed them yet.

Great People

They are exceptionally talented figures with special abilities, which appear in your civilization when you develop a particular technological advancement field sufficiently.

Be wary!!!

All Great People are considered civilian units and, as such, they are defenseless on the battlefield! They can be instantly destroyed if monsters or other enemies directly attacks them.

Current Great Person:

-Denise Greenwood (In training) - Provides ten times the regular amount of research points.

The bonus provided by Great Persons is further increased by the Tier of their soul refinement (regular RP * 10* Tier LvL)

“Oh… now I see. However, to increase her tier to level 2 is going to take a while, given that she has to reach probably level 50 for Tier 2. FUCK! How could I forget about the miracles I currently have!”

Soul Upgrade [Ex]: Active miracle! Cost: 10 Faith/use

Description: In order to refine the quality of a soul, the number of soul points needed is cut in half (example: usually, 100 LvL 0 souls are required to upgrade a soul to LvL 1. This miracle reduces the amount to only 50. As the Tier LvL scales upwards, the reduction of 50% still applies!)

“But how do I use it? Let’s try to select it…”

Please select whom you would like to use Soul Upgrade on!

“Denise Greenwood.” –I whispered softly

Denise Greenwood is currently at LvL 1 in soul refinement.

Cost to upgrade to LvL 2 - 2500 SP.

Due to effect of the miracle cost is reduced by 50%!

Would you like to proceed? Yes No

“Motherfucker! Why is the cost that high!? Even with the discount I get, there’s still 1250 SP that are required for a simple upgrade to Tier 2? How much SP do I have?”

Funds: 2588 SP

Souls are used as currency in the 'Afterlife' game. Due to the impracticality of the souls being directly handed over to the players, each soul is under a contract with the proprietor, making matters more simple.

Upon deciding to use the souls to purchase population, the available numbers will be directly teleported to your world coordinates, at a designed location of your choosing. If you use them as currency in purchasing other items, the contract with the souls handed over is terminated.

In order to make things fair, all souls will begin at LvL 0 and each one can be converted into population of each sex, depending on the requirement of the player.

Soul Points can be gained either through birth of new population based on sexual interactions, or through daily accumulations.

Each member of the population provides a specific number of points on a daily basis, as follows:

LvL 0 - 1SP/day; LvL 6 - 100SP/day;

LvL 1 - 3SP/day; LvL 7 - 250SP/day;

LvL 2 - 5SP/day; LvL 8 - 500SP/day;

LvL 3 - 10SP/day; LvL 9 - 1000SP/day;

LvL 4 - 25SP/day; LvL 10 - 5000SP/day;

LvL 5 - 50SP/day; LvL MAX - 10000 SP/day.

Current funds growth: 647 SP/day

“Well that’s bullshit… I barely have enough to upgrade two people to Tier 2? But... I’ll have to do it anyway.”

“Yes.” –I whispered again while checking if I woke up any of the girls

Confirmation received!

Upgrading soul refinement Tier of Denise Greenwood to level 2!

Would you like to pass on a Divine Revelation to the recipient?

Because the target is currently sleeping you can provide the Divine Revelation in the form of a dream that will encompass the message.

I almost busted in laughter when I saw the notification. Wouldn’t this mean that I could fuck with people while they are sleeping? Yes, there is a high cost for it, but imagine the results! It would be hilarious!

Using the system’s interface, I wrote on the virtual keypad (just noticed that there is one…) the following:

The power invested in you through me, the God of Chaos, will allow you to lead your fellow elves to the peaks of civilization!

Use it wisely and gather apprentices that will help you in your endeavor!

Impart your knowledge upon them and live your life in happiness!

While it sounded like absolute bull-crap since I forced her to do something while saying that I gave her that gift so she better use it, but at the same time I told her to be happy... it felt like I was brainwashing the poor child. I decided however to go with it because it was close to the normal message I had originally in mind, but also because I was curious what kind of dream she’ll have. I will have Mia look into it in the morning.

“Fucking with people is certainly more relaxing than sleeping. Look at these two wasting so much time…”
