A new sub-race

“No matter how I think about it, the two options suggested are the best I can think of in our current situation. What are your thoughts?”

[I agree! Judging from the first blessing you have picked, if we take in consideration the operation from this morning where the entire camp joined us in both dungeon diving and defending (keeping in mind that most of them weren’t very familiar with weapons), if we were to add in the mix a skill that automatically gives them knowledge about how to use them…](Alexandra)

[…we could have two hundred people that, at a moment’s notice, could class-change from farmers to soldiers. That is indeed quite the scary thing.](Decarbia)

[What’s even scarier, is that even without practicing their proficiency won’t be any lower than a person that practiced and fought hundreds of monsters. That means that after conquering their fear, even a person that never went dungeon diving before could easily overpower a monster at the same level, if equipped with proper items.](Mia)

“Indeed… As for the second blessing, as I see it at least, it literally became a bonus event for our camp. Having the HP and MP doubled and even an extra 50% increase in attributes is already ridiculous, but on top of that off there’s also a 200% increase in experience gained. And we can also do this each two months..."

[But we don't know the details yet, master. What if only 10 people can enter?](Mia)

"Indeed. We have no idea about the restrictions placed on the 'event'. However, if we can attack with at least 100, it's guaranteed that the dungeon unit will become an elite unit for certain. Anyway, let's leave that for later and select the two blessings. I am getting real tired, real fast...

Alert! You have selected the Weapon System blessing!

Please confirm! YES NO

"Yes!"

Alert! You have selected the Conqueror's dominance blessing!

Please confirm! YES NO

"Yes!"

Congratulations Midgard for selecting two new blessings!

Be advised that for the two passive blessings to take effect, there will be a delay of 12 hours!

A half a day required for the miracles to become ingrained in the Status Pages of the population... Somehow, it reminded me of a patch being added to a game...

"Great! That's done! What's next?"

[Buildings that ha...](Mia)

"Declined! Tomorrow! Next!"

[...uhm, research?](Mia)

"Declined! Tomorrow! Next!"

[...master...](Mia)

[Michael, you said you would bring more people. Wouldn't it be better to do that as soon as possible?](Alexandra)

"Indeed... However, that is also something I wanted to do tomorrow... Ugh! Fine! Let's get that done. What's the situation with the houses?"

[By building in advance, we can house a total of 1000 at the moment. We have a total of 200 elven houses build up at the moment and we can go with the previous arrangements. Over one hundred houses are currently empty.](Mia)

"Excellent! That takes care of that, but we will leave it to the department heads to do the introduction and house assignment. Let's see... where was that interface?"

Achievement store (races) Human race [LvL 0]: Cost 0 AP ( This race can be upgraded and provide a new type of sub-race each 10 levels. Cost per upgrade: 50.000 SP for LvL 1 ) Faeries race[LvL 0]: Already bought ( This race can be upgraded and provide a new type of sub-race each 5 levels. Cost per upgrade: 5M SP for LvL 1 )

"Great! We can upgrade the Faerie race first and based on that we will move forward. Let's..."

[Michael?](Alexandra)

"???" - I turned confused to her

[I cannot see anything...](Alexandra)

"???" - I looked at her even more confused

[Same for me, master.](Decarbia)

Now this was a surprise! I looked at Mia but she confirmed that she could see it just fine, thing that raised a couple of questions. The girls were able to see the interface up to now with no problems, however all of a sudden there are restrictions placed. Does this have anything to do with the fact that they are souls from that Void Chamber? Actually, if myself and the others under Reaper use the souls as the most important resource in the game from that specific place, what about the other factions? This suddenly became complicated and gave me a really bad feeling.

"I guess this is a restriction. There is a limit to the amount of information you can have access to, without being a God. Do not worry! As long as it's something important I will let you girls know as well." - I said smiling

In truth however, I knew that it was a lie. I didn't have the heart to tell them the truth. In addition, in Decarbia's case, I had no idea what she was...

For now though, I need to focus on finishing the task at hand. Dealing with more than you can handle it's bad for business!

Would you like to upgrade the Faerie race?

Cost 5 million SP! YES NO

"Yes!"

Congratulations! Faerie race has been upgraded to Level 1!

Would you like to upgrade to the next level?

Cost 10 million SP! YES NO

"Yes!"

Congratulations! Faerie race has been upgraded to Level 2!

Would you like to upgrade to the next level?

Cost 25 million SP! YES NO

"Yes..."

Congratulations! Faerie race has been upgraded to Level 3!

Would you like to upgrade to the next level?

Cost 50 million SP! YES NO

"I really don't like where this is going... yes!" - I said through gritted teeth

Congratulations! Faerie race has been upgraded to Level 4!

Would you like to upgrade to the next level?

Cost 100 million SP! YES NO

"Take an arm and a leg why won't you!" – I complained while heavily sweating at the number

[Master, it is not that expensive... We still have over 7 billion SP, even if we spend such an amount.](Mia)

"That's true I guess..."

[Big sis, what is happening?](Alexandra)

"...yes..." - I answered powerlessly

Congratulations! Faerie race has been upgraded to Level 5!

Would you like to upgrade to the next level?

Cost 250 million SP! YES NO

"NO!" - I yelled back at the system while almost spewing blood

[[[...]]]

Seeing the looks the girls were giving me, I felt a bit embarrassed. Nevertheless, truly, this system was created by a black-hearted businessman for certain!

Congratulation Midgard for upgrading the Faerie race to Level 5!

The Elven sub-race's attributes increase by 5%!

Due to the Faerie race reaching Level 5, the Druid sub-race has been opened and is available to select!

You can view the racial information by checking the subpage!

“Say what now!? Druids? Where.are.my.fucking.DWARVES????”

[Master? It said something about Druids? That’s amazing!](Mia)

“I-Is it though? I really wanted the dwarves as the next sub-race…”

[Master, if you think about it is the best thing right now!](Mia)

“How so?”

[I can explain that instead, big sis! Michael, the Druids are like nobles of our race even when compared with us, the elves. They can communicate with the plants and animals and they also have very strong spells of every element. In the past, in a war between elves and another race, a very powerful druid was enraged at an entire sacred forest being cut to the ground and used to build a settlement in the same area. As result, he used his strength to revive the forest and bury the invaders and their homes deep within it.](Alexandra)

“Is there such a background story? I wonder just what kind of memories or history did Reaper gave the Elves.”

[Moreover, wouldn’t such sort of all-rounded-magicians be extremely beneficial to our camp right now?](Alexandra)

“Why do you think that?”

[If we are going to suddenly increase our population with an additional 500, the food that we have won’t last us more than one month. Not to mention that the druids can actually tame wild animals that we can further use, but which we will also have to feed. However, with skillful nature attendants like them, our agriculture department will flourish for certain!](Alexandra)

“You mean to say that, since they can influence plants, we can make use of that and boost our agriculture plans? Indeed if our harvest this upcoming autumn is sufficient, we would have passed yet another milestone.”

[Yes! And not only that! The druids are fierce warriors as well. After taming wild animals, they can link their soul together and use that link to engage their inner bestial instincts. By doing that, they can actually transform in huge animal and wreak havoc through the enemy’s lines.](Alexandra)

“I guess that’s a blessing in disguise then. Let’s bring some over to help our camp then, shall we?”
