Both classes rushed towards the puzzle pieces, trying to start as fast as possible.
Aki made signals for his class to split into three sections so each section could work on one puzzle.
Aki was working with the third group and he was connecting the puzzles at a relatively fast rate.
The puzzles were quite big, there were 600 pieces for each puzzle.
Unfortunately, in comparison to Damien, Aki was completely outclassed. Damien was completing the puzzle with almost double Aki’s speed.
However, Damien implemented a different strategy than Aki. Rather than completing each puzzle separately, Damien had his whole class work on one puzzle which made them work much faster.
Regardless, in a 1 versus 1 comparison, Damien would still outperform Aki when it comes to completing puzzles. This is due to the fact that his processing speed and comprehension was far above Aki.
Damien at this point had done 190 pieces of the puzzle in 4 minutes of starting the test. However, Aki had only completed 70 of the pieces of the puzzle he was working on.
For the other groups in Aki’s class, group 1 had 40 pieces done and group 3 had 51 pieces done.
Alya was closely monitoring Aki, which prevented him from doing anything that violated the rules.

After another 15 minutes, it was clear which class had the advantage.
Damien was well on his way to completing the puzzles before Aki.
Damien’s class was 493 pieces into his second puzzle. In contrast, Aki’s group was 340 pieces into his puzzle. The first group was 230 into their puzzle and the second group was 250 pieces into their puzzle.
‘It seems that I’m going to be beaten at this rate.’ Aki thinks as a devilish grin appears on his face. He desperately tries to hold in his laughter.
For the last few days, his alternate personality has taken over him. However, his classmates were clueless to any signs that Aki was different due to his deception.
‘No, I can’t laugh yet. I gotta hold it in till the end of the exam.’
On Damien’s side he was feeling pretty confident that he was going to win. Which was understandable considering the rate he was completing the puzzle.
‘I don’t know what that moron was thinking when he challenged me but I hope he is regretting his decision now.’ Damien thought as he worked on the puzzle with his classmates.
But, 10 minutes later he reached an issue.
For the last puzzle his class was working on, a piece was missing.
Well, to be more precise, there were 600 pieces for the puzzle, but one wasn’t there.
Unfortunately for Damien, when he notified Alma refused to support them because the examiners checked three times before the exam to make sure the pieces were there.
‘What the hell is going on? Where is that frickin’ piece!?’ Damien thought as he analyzed the room.
It took him 5 minutes to think of every possible location the piece could be.
Then he realized something.
‘Someone must’ve taken the last piece.’
He looked at his classmates and immediately knew who it was. It was a boy named Misuki, he had recently started being noticeably more disobedient.
“Misuki you took it, didn’t you?” Damien asked as his face stayed focused on the unfinished puzzle.
At that moment, Aki’s class finished with their last puzzle, meaning they had won the exam.
‘Everything went exactly to plan.’ Aki said as he watched everyone in Damien’s class vote Damien to be expelled.
Damien’s assumption of what happened wasn’t very far off. However he was wrong about one thing.
Everyone was against him.
Aki promised all of Damien’s class they would never be expelled if he was student council president. This was something Damien never would have offered so they naturally agreed.
Misuki led the operation, he had one of his classmates pass on a piece of the last puzzle around so it wouldn’t be with one person for too long. Then it went back to him in the end, so in case the plan failed, he’d take on the blame.
So Damien’s class voted him for expulsion, and by the school rules, Aki was now the student council president.
